We stand with you brother in the us we getting killed for nothing it's even more sad to hear that we are being treated like this by our own people. May your family be safe stand strong u got brothers in the us
Forgive my poor language- I’m here after seeing Rihanna’s post, decided to get myself educated on what’s happening on the other side of the world. Thank you for explaining it very clearly. It is heart wrenching. I feel for Nigerian people. Hope they get the real change they’ve been asking for!
They must not ask, they must demand and take, you're so nice and polite. Your niceness will get you all killed. Stand like men and the women that you are. marching and carrying signs help a little, but real action works better and saves lives and time. I know what I'm talking about, because I've lived in America for 74 years, and it's hell.
The MOST, the MOST, the MOST informative video on SARS!!!! Thanks so much Adanna for your research and for compiling this into such a great video. Sending this to all my friends and family.
I am soooo frustrated on behalf of Nigerians because the Nigerian story is the Kenyan story; police brutality, corruption, lies by the governement that make us not believe anything they say, ah man! I stand with Nigeria because my brother/sister's pain is my pain
What a year, 2020! Living in the US with all the protesting of Black Lives Matter , innocent lives killed, police brutality, etc. Hearing about what is going on in Nigeria, makes me so angry & upset! When will it end? Who is there to protect our youth & innocent victims? Why does this seem to only happen & affect the Blacks ? Why does it hurt more when it's the Blacks killing Blacks? I am so very proud ( as a grandmother of 6) to see the younger generation standing up for their rights & freedom ! They are the future generation, and we have an obligation to help them. Praying for Nigeria, the victims & their families, & human rights for everyone!
My understanding is that the Nigerian government just dissolved SARS for going out of their job descriptions by violating human rights. It is now up to the protesters to stop protesting now that their request is granted. There are certain criminal behaviors Nigerian protesters needs to protest against which are: The Baddo Boys that kills innocent citizens for money; those governors that failed to use the funds collected from the federal government to execute the projects/infrastructures in their states for the benefits of their citizens. I remember vividly based on the reports provided by those living in Nigeria during the time of Jonathan when he was the president of Nigeria that majority of the governors and Senators embezzled the funds allocated to their states accounts. Most Senators during Jonathan's tenures used these funds to buy private jets/helicopters for their families. It is so shameful to tell you that Nigerians as a whole needs to change their orientation in so many aspects. Nigerians in diaspora are being duped by Nigerians back in Nigeria on so many levels. I do not support what SARS did, but Nigerians must change their orientations at some levels as well. I am just wondering why Nigerians failed to Protest during the tenures of Jonathan with all the looting of Nigerian funds.

Was asking myself what was going on in Nigeria for the past weeks . Your message was so clear. Am so sad about what is happening in Nigeria and am proud about the Nigerian youth.
That president is just the assigned representive of the place call Nigeria. The One World Order/International Cabal/Beast System controls every country on Earth. The Earth was given into the hands of the wicked for a time. THE CREATOR BLESS

@@yetundeadeyelu5304 The SARS protests cover all that you mentioned, not just against SARS alone as a unit. Moreover, the disbanded SARS force has been assigned a different special forces, SWAT. People don't believe it will be any different. The protests are against corruption, all you have mentioned and more. But all of these cannot be protested seperately one by one. So Nigerians are rising up to protest all of this under the SARS protests, which also match the times with the SARS Covid-19 virus being in force, and the palliatives allocated to the citizens for the virus hoarded by government houses.
Excellent Adanna! You have expressed the plight of Nigerian people so well that those of us who don't live there certainly can understand it. I hope you can inspire more people as to what it takes to affect change. Change, however one might see it, has to happen and we always pray that the change is for the better. Keep fighting and keep praying that God's spirit will present itself to the people of Nigeria. We know that the LOVE of money is the root of ALL evil, thereby, it calls for everyone to be careful yet keep marching on. Thank you Adanna!!
I am very close to my nigerian friend and being from india, seeing all these issues surging up - are not what we youth need!! Sad to see what is happening there , it’s terrible.. i remember hearing many such stories from my friend 😓.. why people in power don’t act ethical? It’s so rare to see ..
Never realized this was happening in Nigeria, Adanna thank you for sharing this and opening my eyes, along with many on this chat. People, especially young persons are no longer staying silent. The older folks won't be pleased, but change must transpire, we won't stand for victimization and abuse any longer. They ban them until they think persons have forgotten about the situation, these "officers " need to stand the consequences for what they've done and doing. The government themselves tend to thread lightly, because some.of these officers are their associates. Quite sad.
Honestly,I don’t think increasing the police’s salary will stop/prevent their barbaric behaviors. I mean....look at our politicians. Perfect example of people with great salaries yet nothing good comes from them!
they don’t have enough to live happily and comfortably rn. They aren’t gonna get politician salaries. You can’t have good, well trained cops if you don’t pay and find them well.
The Nigerian government has disbanded SARS at least 4 times in the last 4 years. Announcing it one more time doesn't make it true. Especially when you consider that SARS officials still arrested people literally yesterday. And what Nigerians were protesting goes beyond a police unit. They were protesting police brutality. You can call the unit any name you like but the Nigerian police still put up videos of themselves maltreating suspects in their custody yesterday. Armed men in unmarked cars still detained people 2 days ago. That's what the protests were about. The change required is a lot more than changing the name of the police unit from SARS to SWAT and calling it a day.
It seems too much like coincidence that the same thing that is happening in the States mirrors what is happening in Nigeria! The only difference is that the color of the perpetrators is the same as the victims'!
Exactly!! This is going on in other black countries such as Brazil, Colombia, Cameroon, Congo, Haiti, Venezuela, North America anywhere there's black people oppression is going. It's simple no co- incident.
The Most High God will deliver his people from the four corners of the earth out of this mess. This is happening to the chosen people of God. All praises to The Most High God of Israel.
Quiet as it's kept...NONE of us are free until ALL of us are free. We ALL live on the planet earth. Although, there's boundaries of water, mountains, border lines and so forth that separates us physically but hense, there's ONE spirit of love that holds this universe together! We're like a stack of dominos; what affects one will ultimately and eventually affect the other. It's called "The Domino Effect". Sure, it STARTS at home with self. In the meantime, I'm praying for GLOBAL PEACE JOY & LOVE..⚘💜
Awesome Adanna,I can never love you less,no not in this life time, you are indeed a represetation of grace filled with wisdom knowledge and understanding,God bless you for speaking out for our nation. NIGERIA will be great again, much love from my side sis.❤❤❤
I’m scared for my family protesting in America, I can understand how the parents feel especially in Nigeria but it’s sad cause we really can’t stay quiet
I hope the whole of Africa can change their leaders and make a change. Get rid of the puppets, whose main job is make sure African is not stable so we cannot unite.

Thank you for speaking up. I am a kenyan and we all suffer the same fate .our politicians and parents have failed us. We have to take action with what we have our voices.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Absolutely and l hope with the increase in police salary, the police reform will bring the change. The greed is our big problem in Nigeria. See how the politician steal, acquire unnecessary wealth? It's all down to greed. Hey, we as individual Nigerian, need to speak to ourselves on how we need to eradicate greed from our system and self. God help us.
Thank you for explaining this so well. I had been hearing about Nigeria, but did not understand until now. God bless you & God bless & protect Nigeria.
I which people would hv use their platform this way for the endless war in Congo 🇨🇩 I did my part and continue doing so I just hope more African nations will bring awareness on what really going on in the DRC
Thank you sooooo much for sharing this!! Same events that have been happening in the USA for having black skin. We stand with you here and we are praying ✊🏾🙏🏾❤️!
There’s a weird dysfunction and depopulation of human life happening this year.. it’s honestly weird. Between the ICE camps, Covid-19, 3rd world living circumstances and things of this nature.. we’ve had a rough year as a world.
Thank you so much! Me and my mum pray every night and recently she mentioned something about the government she said “we decree peace we decree joy” I decided to research and I found your video thank you for the message!!
Thank you for the history and information on what’s going on in our country! No matter how small our platforms may be it is our duty to spread the word. One of the many things I took from this is that our use of social media, especially for us living in diaspora is key to hopefully gaining more support and coverage internationally!
Adanna, this was highly informative well put together - you explained the situation in a way that is easy for us to understand. Thank you for this video!
This saddens my heart. I'll share this video so that everyone sees this. It's ridiculous. Let's fight this as a continent, fight against police brutality and greedy politicians. This is our pandemic in Africa. ♥️ From South Africa
Didn't know what was going on in Nigeria until I watched this. Very well explained. I hope The Nigerian people get justice and their demands are met. Best wishes from Ireland 🙏🇮🇪
Thank you for such a well organized and clear delivery of what's going on in Nigeria. I didn't have all this information until seeing your video and it makes me want to support how I can from the U.S.; especially after the suffering police brutality towards Blacks has produced over here.
It's about time the youth break away from the old mindset of keeping quiet and bowing down to feudal systems and neo colonial mentality... Time to rise up 🇳🇬
I am not a Nigerian woman but i come from Cameroon. I am completely disappointed by the government in Nigeria with their lack of actions and support towards their own people who pay taxes and work hard to survive. I can not agree more because the SARS MUST be disolved. My heart and thoughts go to the very courageous protesters in Nigeria and i hope that things will change as fast as possible. Peace and the fight continues.
Why as a UK citizen, am I only hearing about this from instagram. Obviously not news worthy in our small minded, privileged, "inside the box" nation ♥️🤲🇳🇬
@Tunde Akintola To be fair, BBC actually reported these protests. I'm not their biggest fan but I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised by their constant posts. Al Jazeera as well.
Nigerians actually protested in London last weekend. There were also protests in Germany and Canada as well. But I guess we all live in our own bubble these days.
@@MoneyGist I didn't hear a single thing. And I'm not sheltered by any means. I consume the mainstream media and take most of it with a pinch of salt as most of it is not news worthy. I would much rather read about real world problems and educate myself on how to help and raise awareness than all the reality TV Cr*p abd Z list celebrities they try and shove down our throats. So sad. Most people in the UK are probably as clueless as me.
I totally agree with the police reform. I live in the U.S and that's what's happening here. Parents need to wake and see this is a new generation of young people coming up. I don't agree with the rioting and burning, but a peaceful protest. Change is coming. Power to the people. Thanks for the info 👍
Thank you very much for this video Adanna I learnt a lot. There is so much corruption in Nigeria due to many different corrupt politicians and governors too.
Adanna, I’m so proud of you for speaking on this issue. I have been following you guys for awhile now, when I can. You and David has touched on many family, economic and social issues of your experience and knowledge. Well done. To see our own oppressing our own is very soul-breaking. We have to deal with systematic racism around the world, SARS should be protecting their people regardless of low salaries, with a moral conscience at the forefront. The Black Panther Party (BPP) and many other organizations has helped their people not destroy them. The question presses, who else is benefiting from this? Safety and prayer for all. 💕🙏🏽✌️
Thank you Adanna for using your platform to speak up and educate and make awareness of this issue. This is so big, I cry for Nigeria and Africa in general because of the madness of greedy when people gain a lil power and killing the innocent youth.
God protect my fellow Africans, i am in Botswana but i can feel it when other fellow Africans are being killed by their own brothers. President should have been in the forefront fighting this thing. We cannot afford to loss our people to Covid 19 and also by being killed by selfish police. I pray fro peace in Nigeria. Nigerians has had a lot already
If Ghana should experience half of what Nigerians had been through,i bet Ghana would've cease to exist by now.Ghana is just one State in Nigeria.(oponu)
@@olawaleobakunle7156 all you know is insults, baseless and pointless. We are not talking about size here, we talking good governance. Don't fight somebody who symbolize with what's happening in Nigeria rather fight your bad leaders. How on earth is the Military who are meant to protect their people rather killing them ? By who's other? Wake up you little pk
Well said, my opinion is, let us pray and live everything for God to intervene. The way I am seeing it, the corrupt leaders are not ready to back down. With prayers, they will surrender some day. We all need to continue to protest and leave the rest for God to do.
Nigeria with the Delta oil should’ve been one of the richest countries in the world a long time ago, but these corrupt politicians and officials keep filling their pockets and doing nothing for the youth or the people. Keep fighting Nigerian sisters and brothers, may you get your revolution and a bright future for your beautiful country 🇳🇬❤️
Adanna thankyou for bringing clarity to this awful situation. I have to admit that it was after my teenage chldren began asking me what SARS meant a few weeks earlier that I began to take notice. I feel so bad and in despair at the loss of our youths yesterday night. I really believe change has arived at the doorstep of Nigeria because what we thought would never happen as in bold protesting, shows the peope are reday for change. Innocent lives that have been lost will not be in vain.
This is the first time I've heard this explained so clearly - thank you Adanna. The corruption is too much now & is too widespread. Similar police brutality with 🇯🇲 youth. I'm not Nigerian but Africa is my mother (land) & I want to see her healed.
