What would you do for this client? When mary is instructed to do something she does not want to do by her family , she will get angry and engage in Verbal aggression saying swear words and Physical aggression throwing objects in order to avoid doing a task or activity (escape).
I would focus on teaching her an alternative way to communicate what she wants. She can say "no" or "not right now". Once she has those communication skills, you can introduce a tolerance response or delay of the escape
You want to try and find out what the child is trying to say with the behavior - is it to get away from something? To access something? Sensory? Could be a combination of a few. Is it harmful to the child? If yes - then try to find an alternative replacement that serves the same purpose. This is often some communication to get them access to what they want. Or it could be an alternative sensory strategy that fills the same need
