In today’s video, we will talk about one of these metal casting processes, that is, Sand casting. Sand casting is the most widely used casting process.
Casting is a manufacturing process in which molten metal is transported into a mold and allowed to cool down. This mold has a cavity of the desired shape. As the molten metal cools down, it solidifies and takes the shape of the cavity. This process is used for the fabrication of sculptures, jewellery, weapons, machine parts, tools, etc.
