In my opinion all of the Main Games (Gen 1-9) should’ve been animated so that way we know what actually happened bc in the games you catch any Pokemon and make any team and you can do different teams in every single game so that’s basically why

It doesn't entirely follow the games bc In red, blue, fire red leaf green, becuase 1. There's no mega evolution, 2. In origins Red loses to Giovanni in sulph co but in the games red beats them with blue I think. But yeah origins is amazing and I whish it continued to Alolah since red and blue appear there

I felt Origin's Red was very very very shouneny and bland. The whole spiel he made to Giovanni and it actually working was where I just dropped it. If I had to like an actual Red rendition I'd go with the Manga (the one that got a sequel with a protag called Yellow, I think). It felt relatively better overall.

Its litteraly best series, even tough i like and love sun and moon and journeys, i watched those series i can say its awesome, but fight with mewtwo is litteraly the best fight, it was just simply underrated since ash's charizard did defeated articuno, mega charizard x vs mewtwo is kinda forgetable cus of that

Origins was so good

It isn’t the whole story of the games. They skip over most of the game. You only get to see Red defeat two Gym leaders. The other 6 happened in between episodes and they just tell you about them. The series would’ve been a lot better if they made it longer and actually showed the entire story from the games.

it's crazy how people are gassing up Pokémon Origins when it's literally the WORST adaptation of the Red and Blue games. first of all, we only see TWO of Red's gym battles, and he literally completes the Pokedex offscreen, which are...y'know, literally the 2 biggest aspects of the games. Catching Pokémon, and growing stronger alongside them. But nah, let's just show Charmander battling in a still frame and then suddenly evolving. That's definitely way more impactful than him evolving alongside Red's growth as a character. Or hell, let's just focus on JUST Charizard and not any of Red's other Pokémon LMAO. Not to mention they just completely rushed through the Team Rocket story, not even bothering to adapt the Rocket Game Corner plot despite how integral it was to Team Rocket if you guys GENUINELY preferred this rushed mess over the Pokémon anime with Ash, then y'all literally have no taste. You could watch a speed run or a RU-vid recapping their playthrough and get the same experience
