@@pbilkthat’s debatable.. the chain guard doesn’t protect that much dirt and water because it’s not sealed. water kicks up and easily gets in from the bottom seems like it was only designed to protect clothing
This kind of lock works when there are no cars, like Amsterdam, but in north america, one industrious chad in a pickup truck with a set of bolt cutters can clean the entire street of bikes locked like this in minutes.
Thats true but luckily there is barely any trucks in the Netherlands! Also the streets are narrow in most old cities so good luck to a bigger truck trying to pass 😅
Haha I have a chain lock too but I find that it is too long to use if I am just going quickly in a store or like a post office. For these quick errands, I like the back wheel lock. But if I am leaving my bike somewhere for more than 30 mins or if I am in a big city, the chain lock is a MUST for sure!
