After BA, my father wanted me to try for UPSC but after the first attempt, I decided I could not waste time cramming my head with useless knowledge. So I refused to listen to my father and decided to study MA in English Literature, followed by M.Phil and Phd at JNU. Today I am teaching in a top central university and have a great life. So parents should not put pressure on their children. Let them decide what they want to do with their lives.
@@artivaishnav193 you have to complete MA in the subject you like, then pass UGC-NET Exam (held twice a year). You can also do PhD after that but that will take some time. NET qualifies you to apply for lecturer's job and then you can do PhD while working. If you manage to pass UGC-JRF, you are paid a good amount as fellowship while doing PhD research. You are not allowed to work if you have JRF.
What dream? If you're stupid enough to think just buying a course will make you pass the exam then you dont even deserve the college in the first place!

My son scored 90% marks in class 10 without any tuition or coaching. N now he opted for arts with economics n geography n sociology. N we parents r very much ok with his decision.
Just in case, don't think Arts is bad in anyway. Sociology and economics are really relevant subjects. In fact, the maths in econometrics is way advanced than what science students study.

Being a dropper is no joke. Society, friends, expectations, decisions, etc leave us alone in depression. But we must never forget the fact that there will always be a bright sunny day after every dark stormy nights. It's such believes that keep the world going.
The main culprit in these cases are parents, who don't know or don't even want to know what their children want, they only want to put their own failure in life on their children in the name of "creating a better future for our children"

I had scored 80% in my 10th Board or Matriculation. And my father took a very rational decision for my career that he supported my decision of taking Arts or Humanities stream after 10th. I am really proud of having such a great father who has always supported me in my every decision and helped me in making corrections in my life. Now I am doing graduation and I trying really hard to make my parents proud of me❤ My father knew that science and commerce streams aren't my choice and they aren't capable of making me achieve what I really want. My parents are really supportive and I heartily want to make them proud ❤
The main problem is lack of options in India , there are many fields which many children don't know even though their parents too. So if government increase equal opportunity in every field and our society gives respect to every field then this whole problem will get resolve . So it's really important to increase opportunity for every field and do advertisement so that parents and children who were not aware they will get aware of it.
Exactly.. I asked elders and I am still not 100% clear about these things because we didn't get proper guidance. I even searched in the internet and youtube and still am not clear. Can't even blame parents for only knowing about engineers and doctors.
I opted for humanities this year and scored 94% and stood 3rd in the school and most of students have opted for science this year Many of my teachers suggested me to take science instead of arts but my parents never did . They told me to choose whatever I like I am literally glad 💖

After completing my 10th , I was sent to Kota for medical coaching. In the first one year, I knew that this is not the life I wanted. I got to know about students suicide and depression leads students to do bad activities. Next year I left coaching, focused on the 12th. After 12th, I went to a Design school. Today, I am actually working for a top E commerce company in India.
I don't think learning history is useless, afterall it gives u knowledge about the country's past which is important to know to know how far your country has come. Just sharing my own opinion 😊

Nobody talks about what happens to 99.9% of aspirants who don’t make it. If you spend 4 to 5 years preparing for UPSC, you will completely lose sight of your core competency, which then leaves you with no choice but to start over. This process requires a lot of guts and courage, which you had already lost after 5 years of preparation. I was a dropper student. I did my 11th, 12th and drop year too from Allen. But still, I wasn't able to clear NEET. Even after working so hard day and night, I don't know why I was not able to score good marks even in tests held in coaching. My teachers lost all hope in not just me but my whole batch. Because, we were in the batch of average students. I still remember teachers coming to our class after every test and telling us that we were good for nothing, we will never be able to do something good with our lives. And it proved to be so. Only 1 or 2 students from my batch of 100 students were able to score more than cut-off marks.I knew I will not be able to do it, I knew I was not good enough. So, I just kept blaming myself. But, eventually I realised that it's just not me, it is the coaching institute, their strategies, their teachers who were at the fault too. At my centre in Indore, students would bribe one of the staff members to get the question paper of tests on every Sunday. So, my friends, you all have the capabilities to do something great with your lives, you all can be happy and be proud of yourselves even if you are not the topper. I am proud of each one of you for trying and giving your best. What am I doing now you may ask ? I am neither an IITian nor I study in AIIMS, I am pursuing my bachelor's degree in Pharmacy. And next year, after completing this course, I will be going to USA for M.S and PhD. And, I am very happy from where I am now.

I took Science stream in 11th grade and my parents asked me around 100 times if I'm sure about it and if I really wanted to choose Science. Now that the session is over I get why they did that. Though I opted for PCB of my own will, my marks were the worst. For the first time in my life, I scored 4/20(I failed) for the first time in my life! I felt like a failure and my mental health just worsened. However, during this session break, I worked on my mental health but honestly 11th grade was like a nightmare to me, just because of my marks. Teachers(coaching) would say marks don't matter but after every test, they would give a lecture as to why marks are the only thing that matters to living a life. But thankfully, my parents have my back. My mom said that I can attempt NEET one more time after the 12th if I want to. Dear fellow mates, please remember no mark sheet, no teacher, and no society is worth more than your life!
When i took pcm i had gone through same. Obviously i didn't took science in graduation but i realized that it was fear which made me score low marks than the subject itself. Anyway keep in mind, please solve the ncert questions, even if you have to copy them. Try to understand how they are solved. Atleast you won't fail.
I am a student myself who is preparing for NEET in one of the institutes in Kota. Yes, the pressure and competition faced by the students is immense. Long hour classes, extra classes, Doubt classes, Daily question practice is required and extra questions homework are often given by teachers which makes us heptic. Regular mock tests are also conducted and performance report is sent to their parents to make them feel insecure and depressed. Quality of life is also worst here. Unhygienic food, contaminated water and improperly ventilated small PG rooms..make students life nothing less than a hell

@@raj..1433 Bro, believe me. Enjoy your life right now. Read books except your study books, watch entertaining series, watch educational yt channels, gain more and more knowledge, and explore, for your life won't be the same in 11th. And frankly there's no reason to study for 8hrs a day in 10th (though I appreciate that, but still). You might regret it later for not enjoying the time you spend on rattafication in 10th. I my opinion, 4-5hrs a day in 10th is fine to go beyond 90. Anyway, it's just an advise.
I have been a dropper. I studied at Aakash for Neet. Half way in the journey I knew that I'm not interested and don't wanna do this. I did appear for the exm. But still I knew that above all this they love me. I did not ever thought of giving up on life. Our parents wants the best for us. If we just give them some time and make them understand what exactly you like and what your real happiness lies in they will understand and support you as my parents did.

Gone through the comments and gained so much of confidence that I am not only the one facing this! So here I am more confident writing my story! I was a bright student till 10th my percentage was between 80-90 percent ....after coming to 11th there was no proper classes or teachers who can really guide and let us help achieve more (as I belong to arunachal Pradesh) but somehow I scored 70%(which is very saddening) but then too i got 2nd rank between those 45 students in my class ....leave that all so now I went to 12th and scored 72% but i decided to take a drop and right now when NEET is just 1 month away i am just fed of all these and felt that I was never interested in medical and just got influenced by some of the people out there (basically i wanted to something else) And the point is my parents never forced me to anything or choose Medical .....they always said yes to everything what I wanted to do.... When i was frustrated in mid drop year I told my parents I can't do this i want to change my career plans....i was hell scared that they'll scold me but they believed in me and said don't worry you come home and decide .....1 saal hi gya hai baaki or kuch nahi....sab theek hojayega. ....and i am truly blessed to have such parents I am going home after this neet! Don't get scared of parents they are the real friends of ours

It happens more with PCB students, as the general narrative built around them is that once they have taken PCB, the options are less, handful of streams that too related with biology only like medicine, pharma, veterinary or Bsc(bio). One of my relative failed in NEET, but got decent score in 12th boards(90%), hence took admission in Delhi University in BA(Economics+Management) , after completing took an avg job, also prepared for CAT exam, scored 99%ile, got admission into IIM Kozhikode(MBA), after MBA placed in company with 1.5 lakh/month salary. *When he opted for BA(economics), everyone was like in shock that how can a Biology student can take commerce subjects, as if this is some kind of law written in Scriptures that a Bio student can't change his stream. The guy also realised later that he always wanted to do Marketing & Management.
I had a word with Principal of Narayan e techno school, she did not understand this concept, they put unnecessary pressure on even primary students, and talks about IIT, I was shocked that my child in 4th standard has to be prepared for IIT from this age!!!! I said I am happy with 50% marks but they were putting pressure on me and said no we will give your child extra class and take the child upto 70% marks level !!!!

When I was preparing for NEET in Allen Kota, one day me & my mom went to a mall and as we were walking by, a guy from an online coaching named Toppr caught us and said just listen to us once. At first we denied but he insisted and said just 5 min. So we agreed. Then we went inside the room and a man was trying to brainwash my mom with his dirty strategies. She got really confused at that point. He then asked me solve a few questions. Then asked me how "good" I scored in previous NEET exam & class 12th. When I replied in negative for both of em one by one... He suddenly got furious and screamed at me like I committed a crime. We were really staring at him in shock. So then he controlled himself and started brainwashing my mom yet again. I was really frustrated till then cuz he wasted almost 45 min of ours just doing his sh*t. Still he wasn't convinced. I was a very introverted kid back then, so I didn't say anything wrong.. But on the inside I was actually mad at him. I told my mom let's leave. Unfortunate. We call ourselves at the peak of humankind. Scary where we’re heading. What good is all this education anyway if we cannot get basics in place. None of what we learn in school helps us in adulting in this society. Having studied in schools across the globe even being fortunate enough to have that exposure easily our talent and skill get buried when we chose india as home. My heart weeps for all the students and parents being fooled into all this charade. Truly heartbreaking. I believe we can change everything from the root but how many people have to come together for this. Truly eye opening!!

Tbh I’m not able to describe it properly because it’s all filled with mixed emotions…there was a time in my 12 th grade where I started to have suicidal thoughts just because all these…it really felt like the competitive exams are the end of the world…well you people out there like me will relate…kabhi Sri Chaitanya, Narayana inn se baat karke dekhna ek alag hi narak ke baare mein pata chal jayega aaplogon ko.

You have questions of how if so but and you learn on your own when you just love what you want to do ... ur just that curious about it that you dont need any coach ... its good to have a coach only if you love what you do and know what you want to be . Dont follow the crowd everyone is unique so find ur special power and do what you love .
Lucky you Not every family can afford sending their kids to a design or fashion sort of schools ! Even with vast courses option , pocket allows only a few . That is the bigger truth than coaching competition .
Mein ek third tire college se belong krti hu. But I will say onething it doesn't matter from which college we go at the end of the day it's us and our daily quota of learning which matters.
