What projects do you make with superwash merino?

I am actually concerned about using superwash yarn for babies and children in particular because of how it is processed.....should I be?

In my unlabeled stash can I tell whether a ball of yarn is superwash wool or non?

So is the polymer coating plastic?

Yes. It's not great for the environment.

Yes it is. It i s kind of a conditioner for the wool. Non superwash does NOT mean that you can't wash the wool. It just means you have to wash it very very gently, otherwise it will shrink and get felted. I have knitted since I was 10 years old and I love Non super wash. It is better for the environment.
