The "Ole Man" is a sucker for a good deal! Is this a worthy ride for a couple grand? Did he find a good deal with this Oldsmobile? Will it even run after sitting for long enough for the wheels to rust? Will an internal pump work externally? What will we find in the fuel tank? Is it worthy to make it first ride? We will burn it down to the ground? All these questions answered on this episode of RevStoration.

Great job Padre' & and say hello to your whole crew for me from Boise Idaho. I would love to have a newer nicer fancier car myself but my favorite rigs are the 98' 04' GMC / Chevy' when they were built like tanks with Rock Solid Dependable Vortec and LT engines before GM went Gonzo on plastic garbage & LS engines w/ faulty displacement on demand systems that inevitably grenade engines but they still have yet to fix. Myself, I recently had a 2007 Hyundai Tucson GLS sport SUV stolen from my apt that was never recovered. About six months later I had a 2001 Chevy Suburban XLT Tahoe stolen by a crooked tow yard 3 days after I bought it. My current rig is a 98' Chevy S10 Blazer LS 4 Dr 4wd w/ 315k on the 4.3L V6 vortech and she runs great and she'll still burn the tires off her 🤠 ..

I work for a Major Car and Truck Rental I remember we had the Cutlass Ciera in the Fleet renters would trash them and the still went. My mom is now 83 she up to last year drove a 1995 Century Limited her eyesight is failing so she gave her her license this year and gave the car to a needy family so the Dad could get to work it had over 170000 miles on it and still ran great.

Definitely like seeing content on this car. I know a lot of people probably don't because it's nothing special but to me it's just something I always liked they are really good cars so many parts are interchangeable they are called A-body cars and from 82-96 . I Own a 87 Chevy Celebrity Eurosport my self they share same parts as others from that era . There's a whole group of guys like me on Facebook forum I'll have to share this video around

My in-laws bought a dark blue one just like that brand new in 96. They had it about 10 years and we inherited it, drove it a while and sold it to our niece. That was a sweet little car!!

I have almost the same story on a dark blue one. Lol. In-laws bought it new, we inherited it about 10 years later. We drove it 2 years. I gave it to my little sister. She drove it through high school and college. She bought her first car on her own. She gave it back to us. I gave it to my cousin she drove it 3 years. She ended up trading it in on a Nissan. The car had 400 thousand miles, the body was worn slap out but the motor and trans was still perfect. It had never been touched. Just batteries and 1 alternator was all that was ever changed.

Remember, ethanol draws moisture from the air. The more humid the air the more moisture it draws. The water is heavier than gas and settles at the bottom of the thr tank. Then, rusts the metal tank. Great video Rev. Chop on 🪓

Use some mild saddle soap for the interior plastic and vinyl materials and the then treatment with some aromorall and it should clear up most of the way and shine but also have a layer of protection on the surface and you may be able to clean the cloth interior like the seats the same way..

I have a friend who works on RVs...and he welcomes idiots to ciphon his "gas tank"... He swapped the gas and septic tanks...including a locking side panel that moves over his gas tank... Last night...someone tried ciphoning gas out of the tank and wound up gagging on his septic tank until the police showed up... He told the police that he catches at least 8 a year with this system...

When it comes to finding growling bearings: you can get a stethoscope with a long probe on it dirt cheap from Harbor Freight. Be mindful of moving parts and just touch it to whatever the suspect bearing is attached to. It'll be obvious where the noise is coming from.

The dipstick for the oil is attached to the filler cap welcome to the gm 4cyl lol, and I have had several gm vehicles and siphon the gas through the filler neck not happening either the Oldsmobile cutlass ciera and the fwd Oldsmobile cutlass supreme sl 4dr have both the metal flap in the filler neck and the baffles in the bottom of the tank to prevent people from stealing gas out of them...was a big problem starting in the late 80's mid 90's when theses cars came out..my s10 trucks a 88 regular cab short bed 2wd loaded 2.8 v6 Tahoe th700r4,a 89 regular cab short bed 2wd 4cyl 2.5 tbi 5spd el,and a 91 chevy s10 2.8 v6 5spd 2wd extended cab long bed Sport were all the same way and a 93 Pontiac sunbird 2.0 h.o. 4cyl same motor as a Beretta gtu, and the 3 spd automatic transmission and none of them you can siphon gas through the filler neck,, buy you a cheap mr gasket booster electrical fuel pump red and the black one and use them under the vehicle down by the gas tank where the filter is by the frame and that is how you siphon gas for those vehicles

I forgot to mention acquire you the cheapest short set of new gm style fuel lines you can get and cut the barb fittings off the end, then you can use them for the siphon gas ti attach to the fuel lines at the filter location.., and I had mentioned my 89 Chevy S10 regular cab short bed 2wd 2.5 4cyl 5spd it was a pieced back together truck and when my younger brother blew up his hot rod v8 swapped 82 Buick Regal Limited edition somerset t top car and couldn't afford to buy the parts for about 5 months except the rear axle from a 78 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme brougham i happened to have his ride back and forth to work 40miles both ways was wait for it.... The 89 Chevy S10 regular cab short bed el trim truck i pieced back together from a truck that was wrecked 14 years ago at the time and parked because she couldn't afford to buy new parts to fix it i didn't either and i gave $150 for the truck because it needed fenders a hood and doors that operate and shut, and the seat was shot, truck was manual anything and I got the most decent shape used tires and aluminum s10 wheels I got for it and I gave more for them then I did the truck 94 Chevy round body star s10 wheels 235/75)15 tires and with the Factory el trim small steering wheel manual shift steering and brakes and it was a job turning those tires my younger brother was complaining about it after driving all-over in the s10 for 2weeks and the fix was i installed a 79 k10 Chevy Scottsdale custom steering wheel option steering wheel in it and it was much easier to drive and plenty of people commented about the steering wheel

However, just watched it and I have to agree. Four letter words beginning with F all over the place. Ford this, Ford that, Fordy Fordy Ford Ford... Seriously, though, absolutely nothing objectionable to be found, and I was paying close attention. RU-vid owes you an apology, gentlemen, your back pay and a sizeable chunk of punitive damages. A million extra subscribers at the very least... I am, btw, a lifelong committed atheist and it doesn't bother me in the slightest that that you are a pastor.
