I don’t know if you know that in 1054 the Catholic Church split East and West. The Greek Orthodox Catholic Church to the east and the Latin Orthodox Catholic Church to the west. This is similar to the split with the nation of Israel, with the kingdom of Israel to the north and the kingdom of Judah to the south. Now the Western Latin Church would take after the southern kingdom of Judah. This is because just as the kingdom of Judah centralized it’s religion around the city of Jerusalem, giving us the term Jewish, the Western Latin Church would centralize its church around Rome. Now how you get Miriam a typology of the reformation I have no idea, it’s really just bad biblical literacy. If you want a Miriam typology it would probably be Peter since he spoke out against Jesus causing Him to call Peter Satan (Mathew 4:10 & Mark 8:33). But like Miriam Peter also came back to the Faith (John 21:15-19). Now just as Jesus came from the Southern Kingdom to call both Jew and Gentile to fellowship with God so to did Martin Luther came from the Western Church to call back all believers to fellowship with Jesus.

they didn't, but they honored the ark, they respected the ark, and they followed God's command to not touch it. likewise for mary, we honor her, we respect her.
