Yeah, it's the physical and special attacks being the same for every move type that was generation 1-3. So in simple terms, every grass move is special, every fighting move is physical, every psychic move is special, etc. Until gen 4
They’re such crazy jungles of coding and unintended quirks. It’s amazing we were even able to play through these games and get the hang of them as kids.
Yeah was gonna say karmajolt did a short on the BBG and other poketubers like Scott with all his Thoughts and the Man that likes Vans and the dude that Challenges Pokémon but only in RBY also call it out every now and again
@@adventureoflinkmk2 minimize and double team are tied for second I guess because they do the same thing but minimize reduces the sprite to like one pixel so that’s cool lol
Special attack and special defence are not the same in gen 1-3 only gen 1. The physical special split refers to entire types being categorized as physical or special damage which occurred in gen 4.
Obvious question: since it's most only single Pokémon Challenges that use and call out the badge boost glitch.. in addition to the boosts ending with haze or level up, I'm sure if you switch out in battle and when you faint the boosts end there right
I don't know if badge boost glitch is REALLY a glitch, seeing how certain Pokémon learn seemingly awful moves like Harden or Agility close to levels 40 or 50 in gen 1.
some of those are just the devs putting the wrong moves. For example, moltres was supposed to learn fire blast at level 51, but leer was right next to it in the code
@@karurasensei Oooh I wasn't even aware of this! It's true it's just next to it. I just thought Gym Leaders moves weren't learnt by level up by anyone. But yes when you see that Kingler learns Harden at level 49 and that it's its "ultimate" move... but it's been changed from gen II.
