Hay Toby was just there got rid of my sportster and upgraded to a 2022 low rider s. Love the people at bluegrass Harley nothing but good vibes there Thumper has sold me both my Harleys. That guy is awesome
Enjoyed your video Toby! I love my 1200 Custom Sportster with the 4.5 gallon tank but wanted to upgrade slightly. For me the sportster is plenty comfortable and capable. I ride it everywhere and enjoy seeing you and others in person during my travels. I have a weak knee and bad hip and I recently wrenched my lower back after dropping my sportster. It was fully loaded with a full compliment of tools, camping gear, food, clothing, rain gear, bike cover, water, batteries, etc. I should have unloaded everything and might have avoided my back injury but instead I thought like a young guy (which I am not) - I saw it as a challenge! I am better but today I tried to lift a gas can with 5-1/2 gallons in it and the pain made me put it down right away. I am losing confidence in myself but maybe I just need to heal. For now I will keep my Sportster as my main ride rather than going up to a bike 200+ pounds heavier. I still like to look at the various models and stay hopeful! Hope you and the family are doing well. Catch you later man!
Glen! Thank you for watching and sharing your story! I hope you feel better soon! I definitely recommend taking it easy, listening to your body, and allowing it to heal. We only get one body...lol. Heal up and (then) ride safe! 👍😊
I like the way you kept the introductions in. Evening adding Rap Music, that was unexpected. LoL I know only a little about Cruisers, so this is an excellent video for me to watch.! I had a 2013 Sportster 883 with 7,313 kms, but I SOLD it. 😞
I feel Thumper just said the things you already covered. I didn't think about if someone has a bad back and that's really thinking ahead Toby 👓 What about the "Drug" effect.? I like to compare Riding to taking a new Drug. Do you want half a pill or 3 pills to start with.? Lower Power = Better for lifelong experence. I think one of the best things about Riding is getting a bigger, better, nicer, newer & FASTER Bike, bit-by-bit over the course of your lifetime. 😎
The cool thing about what Thumper said is he was not with me on any bike I sat on. I did not tell him what to say - so it really lines up hearing similar advice from a salesperson.
The st models seem to feel cramped compared to a streetglide special. Not sure what is different about them, but it seems to sit way closer to the fairing.
I've been looking for a good gym. You got any recommendations? Unless you're just that guy who trolls YT channels just to start s**t. 🙄 I guess you're "that guy."
