For those of you who may be wondering, Frugal spent approximately $5,415 on hoodies.

That's not a hoodie dawg, that's a hooded cashmere sweater 😂

The biggest letdown is when you're buying band merch after a concert and you see their hoodies are printed on Gildan

Christian slowly starting to be the Mr. Beast of fashion going up in prices lol

My favorite hoodie I have is a vintage 90's fruit of the loom xl that a guy sewed a band shirt onto the front and back of it (disincarnate - dreams of the carrion kind), they were built DIFFERENT back then. The material has held up so well and it is super soft and comfortable and has a distinct fade on it which with the slight distressing from wear over the years altogether gives it a lived in appeal, paid 50$ for it.

CarHartt being excluded is interesting. I feel like the oversized rain defender is the best hoodie out there.

Carhart has a really good hoodie especially for the price and if anyone in your family is a nurse, cop, firefighter anything like that u can get a discount and it’s not even expensive to begin with. It’s my go to

$100 is the absolute max I’ll spend on a hoodie. Also, there’s a Loro Piana near me. I went in having no idea how insane the brand was… I tried on a shearling jacket, and legit had an existential crisis when the sales associate told me it was $14k.

Interestingly, I recently wanted to buy a Gildan sweatshirt online, it is little known in Poland, but I usually associate Canadian-made items as of quite good quality, and i really like the color. Workwear brands are probably best bang for the buck. I got a carhartt hoodie and a ridgecut hoodie from tractor supply the other day, both for around $80 on sale. The ridgecut wasn’t a brand I was familiar with but seemed to be at least equal to the carhartt in material quality and comfort for slightly less cost, plus less obvious branding/logos

Honestly my 1.2k ERD hoodie has an amazing fit, custom fading but quality wise doesn’t hold a candle against some streetwear brands with blanks from portugal. For me, hoodies are form over function. Leather goods like boots or jackets are the things where high ticket items are worth it imo.

When you’re buying something, don’t stoop down to pure hype and popularity, do your research and find out how happy or usefulness you’re gonna get out of it. I’m not a rich guy but just a regular Joe so I buy something with use and not just to have. I’m not a superficial and materialistic person who craves the next biggest thing because that’s greed and it’s not a way to live. Usefulness comes first because if it ain’t broke then don’t spend more money. If you have extra money that is absolutely burning a hole in your pocket, still don’t buy the most bougie thing. Be smart and invest, save, donate, share to people other than yourself. 💸💸💸

Honestly, for me Hanes, Gildan, Walmart, and Target and the like already make clothes that are good enough especially for basics. To get to the next level of sticking out is just a matter of adding spice and you don’t have to spend much. Unless it’s shoes. Spend on shoes.

Avoid Rue Porter yall, they are extremely unreliable. I ordered from their Christmas sale last year and they just sat on the order for a month despite claiming they ship in 5 business days max. I looked online after and apparently they did this to like, everyone who bought at that time. Got a refund on that BS and bought a hoodie from LA Apparel instead, they are my new favorite at $75. Dries Van Noten is the only brand I'd pay more for at around $400 but that's because I love how they're designed.
