What is the BEST World Plant in PvZ2? (ranked by the community) 

Take in mind that leveling was NOT part of the poll and wasn't taken into consideration. EDIT: Please stop with the "this plant is now available in all worlds", I know, I've gotten a ton of comments already.

Really like how Peashooter was rated the most middle-tier plant it could've been. Really goes to show why he's the first plant you use.

The problem with these kind of polls is that the lower ones are just the forgotten ones, there is no way Tangle Kelp or Tall Nut can be worse than Spring Bean for example, these kind of polls work best for top 10s, but a full ranking usually doesn't end up too well.

I appreciated the music change after every plants to suit the plant's world theme! No one mentioned it so I did

Now that Hot Potato, Gold Leaf, Thyme Warp and Perfume Shroom can be used in all worlds now, I think Thyme Warp would make it to the top 5, while Gold Leaf would be higher than it used to be.

very surprised on the low placement of Stallia. Same goes for Shadow Shroom considering how OP Shadow Shroom's Plant Food is

I still remember the days where Laser Bean dealt half damage but shot twice as fast. Even his Plant food was half damage in the Piñata preview.

Forgot to mention, Primal Potato Mine is also unnecessarily quick to deploy. I think it takes like 1-2 lanes away from the zombie for it to finish deploying which is very good

Citron being above great plants like stallia, twin sunflower, peapod, and melon pult is absolutely insane to me...

That being said, phat beet is one of the only plants not affected by the boombox zombie. That, and it does 3x3 area damage. It should rate a bit higher, especially if you divert zombies around it with garlic. It’s a lot like gloom shroom from the original PvZ.

Anybody who doesn't like Kernel Pult has clearly never had the pleasure of watching butter rain down and hearing that satisfying thump over and over. The only way to beat the rng is by planting loads and loads of Kernel Pults.

What makes Primal Sunflower used more often than other sun producing plants is that she only costs 75 sun, produces 75 sun, has a fast recharge, and doesn't need time to grow. Twin Sunflower produces twice as much sun but her main drawback is her 125 sun cost and mediocre recharge. Sunflower is your first sun producing plant that gets outclassed later on because you need to build more son to deploy your forces faster. Sun-shroom is cheap and can produce larger suns as it grows, but its weakness is that it takes a long time for them to grow to full size and once it gets destroyed, you have to start all over. Moonflower may be able to produce twice as much like the Twin Sunflower, it has a weak Plant Food effect and it also has a mediocre recharge. In addition, its gimmick requires to be near shadow plants to produce the max value.

This really really intrested me and idk about most people but I personally would love to see one of these type of videos based on the garden warfare games.

For perfume shroom being ranked literally the lowest it was actually an integral part of my round 50 in Jurassic swamps. Since so many dinosaurs in the later rounds can be almost impossible to deal with using perfume shroom and power lily to recharge it and get a second one to just give myself a little bit of breathing room and focus resources on other lanes was actually huge

it's baffling to me why they chose to introduce garlic in the one world where literally every special counters it

Honestly the only surprise to me was that Primal Wall-Nut wasn't in the top ten. It's almost unfair how much durability he has for how fast and cheap he is.

7:05 I am surprised that it has been so low, corn is one of the plants that I chose the most together with my friends, and more in PvZ2 because by giving it a nutrient its special paralyzes to all the zombies with butter, his weakness is the jester and other zombies that reflect objects, but it's easy to fix if you combine some kind of nut with the lazer bean or the Fume-Shroom

I just returned to PvZ2 yesterday after not playing it for maybe 5 years and I must say it feels good to be back!

Primal potato mine is quite literally the "aight i dont know what else for arena mode, guess i'll just use it as a backup." or you literally grab it and tile turnip (with power lily probably) and just obliterate arena mode. and trust me, the pvz2 devs are aware of this crap. On one of the days of the festivus calendar, it was primal potato mine with a literal offer in the shop that gave: primal potato mine seeds, tile turnip seeds, bombard-mint and enchant-mint seed packets. and its also just powerful by itself too, you LITERALLY cant go wrong with choosing this plant

I think so many people voted Spring Bean since they probably don’t know the Blover combo was removed

Peashooter is unironically one of the most spammable plants in the game and can be particularly useful for levels where it’s harder to get sun or you have to spend less sun.

Thyme warp can now be used in any world and let me just say it saves you incredibly amount of time or just sticky situations

Tall nut is a great counter towards flying zombies! He's a great extra option sometimes! Too bad Blover makes him obsolete most of the time... sigh...

*Suggestion for ranking premium plants:* Rank premium plants released from game launch to neon mixtape tour and premium plants after that separately. If I recall correctly, Popcap started adding plants which are direct upgrades (or very overpowered versions) of the existing plants, starting from Jurassic Marsh. The list would be skewed if you rank them all together; that's why.

Even playing it since 2013, I never got the Lightning Reed hype. Used it every once in a while, but it seemed just "ok" to me, I guess it never clicked with me, I was more of a Spikeweed person myself, back then and even now. Rotobaga is another one I never understood the hype for, but here it's prolly because I just simply don't really use it, no reason given.

Snappy being in A tier brings me pure joy

Surprised to see magnet shroom so low, I personally really like it as a semi defensive support plant that prevents strong zombies from ever being a threat

dude bonk choy is so underrated, that guy helped me literally complete modern day. just use a primal wallnut with him and its all fine, along with some explosives.

I reccomend you do another poll, with the new update, gold leaf and thyme warp will be able to be used everywere and some other changes

Red stinger is so underrated, his low cost for a ton of dps is incredible on levels with a tough start.

Happy to see bowling bulb getting some love, when you get it to level 3 it easily become one of the best plants in the game, also it's super good in the arena. Should be atleast A tier tbh

Man I do really never forget when primal potato mine came out first time, I spammed a whole army of them due to the "peashooter cooldown" on it

Ever since I started playing PVZ 2, Snapdragon has been my all time favorite. If you put down a lane of them you can basically deal with any zombie, except fire resistant zombies. Which is why I would pick Ice Snapdragon for best plant, since he’s Snapdragon but can also deal fire resistant zombies.

I'm so upset about stunions placement, he's genuinely one of the best stallers imo it's just people get blinded by the free iceberg lettuce

At mastery level where sun costs are different, at stages where the mobs clearly overpower any plants without aoe or cc effects, when overall damage is impacted by premium plants, when considering if there are mobs that can resist or nullify certain plants damages, the ranking would change drastically

For me, I prefer Sun Shrooms more than Primal Sunflower, due to the fact that it's cost is 50 more suns and in the early game, that actually hurt a lot. However, I do see why most people prefer Primal Sunflower more and I do agree why it should be the best sun producer. Also you should do this with PvZ2C too!

I'm still a great fan of Lightning Reed. The way (s)he strikes every zombie and spreads the electricity out is relaxing and will be extremely useful in the stages containing a great number of zombies.

As someone who has been playing this game since 2015, here are my thoughts (spoilers for the video btw): Perfume Shroom: If you could use it in the Modern Day levels that have dinosaurs, it would be a lot higher. Tangle Kelp: Literally useless outside of BWB and is kinda outclassed in it. Grave Buster: Almost the same as Tangle Kelp. Split Pea: Honestly Split Pea is a little underrated. It saved me from losing a few times, and it can be handy against shovel zombies. Tall Nut: My first reaction was "WHAT" but after reading the explanation, I understood why it was that low. EM Peach: Yet another plant that is only useful for one thing in one world!!! Wall Nut: I never use it over Primal Wall Nut, But it's ok I guess Hot Potato: The Grave Buster of FBC. Magnet Shroom: Carried me through NMT but not much else. Bloomerang: Ok...why is this 175 sun!? I get that it's the first non tutorial plant but STILL! Lily Pad: Do I even have to say it??? Pepper Pult: Probably one of my least used plants. It's basically an overpriced, slow Fire Peashooter, WHICH YOU CAN GET 100% FREE!!! Basically no reason to use it over Fire Pea. Phat Beet: The new Gloom Shroom, and honestly it is a lot worse. Endurian: The attack is pretty weak, and I can't even remember the last time I used it in my last playthrough. Spikerock: Completely agree with you. It's really good with crowd control when you pair it with a defender. Garlic: Why is this plant even in this game? Intensive Carrot: I have NEVER used it outside of the levels that force me to. While reviving sounds good on paper, a lot of plants that are worth reviving can just be planted again for a similar cost. I CAN see the potential with plants like Winter Melon and Banana Launcher...but maybe make it, like, 75 or 50 sun? Stunion: Did people just forget that he exists? Yeah, I did too. Spring Bean: Bro probably got more trolls than Peashooter... Gold Leaf: Why is it locked to Lost City when Tile Turnip isn't?? Also, EIGHTY SUN!!!! That bothers me so much... Nightshade: Easily the worst shadow plant. Cabbage Pult: Have you seen the 660nj video showing that Cabbage Pult is statistically worse than Peashooter? That is honestly disappointing... Spore Shroom: I love the concept of this plant, and it's actually useful too! Chili Bean: Most zombies that I would want to insta kill don't eat them! Sun Bean: Same with Chili Bean, but I guess it helps with sun production. I never use it though. Coconut Cannon: Yeah, the 400 sun is the main downside. Grimrose: As the last world plant, it's actually pretty good! Even without Moonflower to some extent. Threepeater: If you have crowded setups, I can see the use. Spikeweed: It's honestly very underused, at least by me. AKEE: I also have nothing to say. It's kinda forgettable. Fume Shroom: Despite the slow fire rate, the splash can come in handy. Melon Pult: There is no reason to use it if you have Winter Melon. Potato Mine: Good for earlier in the game, but just wait until the end of Jurassic Marsh. Guacodile: Took me a while to get him (BWB day 16 intensifies) but it clears out entire lanes of weaker zombies. Twin Sunflower: Useful for "Produce X amount of sun" levels, but that's it. Peashooter: He's basically a ranged, more permanent Puff Shroom in some setups. Not as bad as most people say. Still very far from the best though. Repeater: Really surprised it was only one spot above Peashooter. Good with Torchwood, but he's not a factor here... Pea Pod: For slower levels that give you a lot of time to build a setup, it has potential. Kernel Pult: Sometimes good against Gargs if you have a lot of them. Stallia: The wide ranged effect makes it a top tier plant for me. Good at stalling, hence the name. Citron: Honestly, the plant food is the main reason to bring him. Red Stinger: It's a little underrated; it's basically a budget Repeater that also works as a Wall Nut. Bowling Bulb: I used it to breeze through the Mega Gatling Pea arena, but outside of that it's not really good until Level 3. Sunflower: One of the most average plants. It's not bad, but far from the best. Shadow Shroom: The only plant that deals damage through armor, which is VITAL in this type of game. Laser Bean: I forgot he existed, but he's pretty good at covering entire lanes. Chard Guard: I love this plant: A staller that also works as a wall! Puff Shroom: God tier in PvZ1, not as good here but it's very good at stalling for the early game and saving your sun. Bonk Choy: The definition of "Melee Plant", and it's very fun to use sometimes! Thyme Warp: 100% agree with you. The only world locked plant where I can tell why they locked it. Tile Turnip: I only used it in arena, but I can see the setup potential. What drags me away from it is the insane cost when you have about 3 or 4 of them. Celery Stalker: Good against certain zombies (Including Gargs). It's also pretty unique. Blover: STOP CHEESEING LEVELS WITH HOLLY BARRIER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Primal Peashooter: Peashooter with knockback? Broken. (Really, it's good for holding back strong zombies, but gets slightly overwhelmed by crowds.) Moonflower: Since she's such a good sun producer, she can handle your sun efficiency while also powering your other shadow plants! Snapdragon: Not underrated or overrated, but he is outclassed by his colder cousin. Banana Launcher: If you can get a few of them down, you can handle clutters with ease. Rotobaga: We found the solution to BWB!!! The design is so random and obscure, but it works! Primal Wall Nut: One of the 2 plants that carried me through Modern Day. You could probably guess what the other one is... Sun Shroom: My main sun producer. Cheap, fast recharge, and eventually gets you tons of sun! Iceberg Lettuce: I just love that you get this plant so early. A free plant that freezes almost any zombie in place and has a plant food that's basically an Ice Shroom!? Yes please!! Cherry Bomb: Your basic 3x3 Insta kill. It's a really strong plant overall. Infi Nut: Excellent gimmick and even more excellent plant food that counters a lot of zombies. What else is there to say? Lightning Reed: One time I beat a whole last stand level with just Lightning Reed. It's not the best on its own; you need a lot of them for it to work well. Winter Melon: The cooler Melon Pult. (ignore the bad joke) It's probably the best at crowd control. Dusk Lobber: Horrible without Moonflower, but instantly becomes a game changer with her. Magnifying Grass: Pretty much a better Coconut Cannon in every way except maybe the plant food. It's great with power tiles. Primal Sunflower: Directly better Sunflower: That's the case with every primal plant, though. Primal Potato Mine: Do I even have to explain this? If you've ever used it or watched someone else use it, you know how OP this thing is. The arming time is so quick that it's basically nonexistent, it has ridiculous range, and it'll carry you through basically every level in Modern Day. It's even possible to beat entire levels with it! It's definitely the best world plant, without a doubt! Thank you for reading all of this :)

I personally loved Cabbage Pult, probably something I would main due to it being a fairly better peashooter, shooting over obstacles, though Parasols are the only real counter to them.

Perfume-Shroom isn't bad at all! Many worlds have that one plant so counter a gimmick, such as Spring Bean in Pirate Seas, EM Peach in Far Future, and Tangled Kelp in Big Wave Beach. All of which are pretty effective in taking out zombies in that world!

Pea pod is awesome for long levels with not much planting room. I remember he was specifically the reason of how I got past a hard level near to the end of frostbite caves. If you have enough time then this guy can shred. I agree with magnifying grass honestly, any level that requires you to produce X amount of sun, he is an instant pick. Reg melon pult should be higher, he is the exact same as winter only without the slowing effect and is more affordable, and combined with tile turnip he is an absolute wave shredder.

I love how Perfume-Shroom got dead last and then the other 4 Jurassic Marsh plants all managed to get top 16 Also happy that my 3 picks all got top 11

plants i always use in a run: -Primal flower -Primal potato -A random mint (the most used are peppermint and enforcemint -sometimes i use blover + reinforcemint

primal sunflower, primal peashooter and primal potato mines were my most used plants. especially primal sunflower. i didn‘t get the chance to vote tho

Personally, I think celery stalker was the best. Insane damage with very fast attacks, 50 sun with over 1K health at level 1 can’t think of a single downside when used with infinity nuts.

FINALLY People realize how stupid Dusk Lobber is. I’ve seen tier lists with her in like D tier. Made me face palm so hard Edit: also as for the whole Primal Sunflower vs Sunshroom debate, first, Moonflower is better than both cuz Dusk Lobber exists, second, I’d say Sunshroom since it’s easier to get more down in the beginning and by the time you really need sun, they’re all grown up.

I'm glad lightning reed ended up high in this list, but i never expected it to be number 6. Some people say it's outclassed by laser bean, but thankfully someone pointed out its slow firing rate. I'm just happy lightning reed didn't end up with other "good, but no one uses them" plants.

If you power up Spring Bean and immediately use Blover while all the Zombies are up in the air you can clear the entire board. That may be why people were adding Spring Bean to the higher part of the list. It's a devastating combination attack to the Zombies no matter what Zombies/Gargantuars are on the board.

I'm really surprised to see Snapdragon so high and Fume Shroom so low. I always believed Fummy to be A tier with great range, great damage, great cost, great recharge, and having synergy with chilling plants unlike Snappy.

Number 68 is pretty good as it can instantly kill an normal zombie and its plant food actually hits the zombies I want unlike potato mine.If it is no garg in sight I recommend using 68

Theres alot of stuff in the game that has to be metal in real life to be effective tbh, example is the roman shield. Basically they kind of nerfed magnet shroom alot in the new game by not adding much to counter with it, it was very viable in the first pvz.

Pea pod is awesome in combination with powered-up torchwood! 5 super-flaming peas in a lane? What’s not to like? 🤩 Even Gargantuars will quickly fall to this sort of damage!

Since I have the enlighten mint, I use sun shrooms way more just because placing down one lane basically turns them into 25 sun primal sunflowers instantly.

I disagree with primal sunflower being 2rd place. Despite the big Sun producing power, she costs 75 suns. It looks cheap, but it is a expensive cost for a Sun producer. I think Sun Shroom is better than her. Also, in my opinion, Moonflower is actually the Best Sun producer in the game. It's cheap(50 Suns), Higher Sun producing power than Twin Sunflower(10 suns of difference) and also boost other shadow plants. But i also think that Primal Sunflower is not a bad sun-producer, either. She's actually a great Sun producer. The only downside is the cost, making you suffer at the beggining of a level(unless you are using Gold Bloom). So, to those who think that Primal Sunflower is the best sun producer in the game, it's fine. You can continue to use her.

Coconut cannon is so much fun to use in Pvz 2 and I absolutely live it

5:50, fume shroom is better than laser bean is every way, it has: a SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper cost faster fire rate, meaning more consistent dps and limited range. if ur skeptical about that last one due to the way zombies spawn, damaging them makes them come faster, with laser bean doing damage to EVERY SINGLE ZOMBIE IN THAT LANE, well, the speed of the horde increases exponentially, not to mention laser beans ABYSMAL single target dps, it is on par with a peashooter, and can barely handle basics, let alone coneheads or specialized zombies, so if you want to bring laser bean, not only do you need 2 other seed slots dedicated to attacking plants (one for early game like kernel pult, and a single target monster like gatling or citron). but with fume shroom, it's limited range allows it to either be placed closer to the right, for an aggressive playstyle with torchwood or something, or you can place it further back and set up slatters like sap fling so you can focus on more expensive plants like banana launcher or cob cannon.

I'm so happy Primal Potato Mine took the first place because this plant carried me throughout the whole campaign mode but it's sad that I don't see Moonflower, this plant for me is the best or one of the best sun producer in this game

The red stinger is underrated Yes, its defence forms are not so good, but it is literally the best shooting plant. It can kill a bucket zombie in like 7 hits, and considering he shoots 2 bullets at the same time, he is very strong. And don't even get me started on its appease-mint buff. It kills a f***ing gargantuar in FIVE HITS Also, it's really cheap (150 sun), and its plant food effect is quite good (however i think its better to use plant food to recharge long-recharging plants, like cherry or mints) Anyway, if you pick the right plants to support him, he is the greatest offensive plant But overall i agree with the whole ranking

Fume-Shroom, Melon Pult, Repeater, Wall-Nut, Stalia and Stunion are way too low, but decent rankings otherwise (mostly). Peashooter was... an interesting choice to get into the top 35, but I find it funny so it passes. I have such great humor, I know.

With the recent update, golden leaf, thyme warp, and a few other world locked plants can now be used in all worlds. Given that fact, they would probably have ranked a lot higher.

i just remember my signiture stratagey was using primal peashooter+ blover since the knockback with the pea actually made blover instakill zombies. And at least for me, the timing wasnt too hard

Wall nut is underated. He is a lot more useful since "finish world then next world update" as the next defensive plant after him is tall nut and tall nut is garbage. Primal wall nut is good but he is unlocked very late in the game. Wall nut

I have no idea how iceberg lettuce is ranked higher than stallia tbh, their effect is basically the same but stallia affects a great area AND works the same in FBC, i guess because iceberg is unlocked a lot earlier?
