Hello, I'm from Brazil and I wanted to promote a championship in my city. Could you give us gifts or something like that? I'll promote your maeca here in Brazil. Can we talk better?
@yotricksI just got the sage and I switched it too unresponsive mode its kind of loud, I already lubed it I watched ur video on it I know I did it well but its still loud is it supposed to be loud??
What would you think about getting the yo-yo plus over the fizz? (Is it a good replacement for the fizz? Or no?) I just happened to like the plus and so I would just like some clarification, thank you!
@@yellowflash5123 The Plus is not very good for learning any tricks where the yoyo lands on the string, or for looping tricks. The Fizz is good for both. The Plus also requires you to occasionally lube the axle, while the Fizz does not. The Plus is better than most yoyos that are $5-6, but it is not nearly as good as the Fizz.
I love the design of the iPPON, but it looks like it's been out of production for a few years now ? If you were to do another run of them I'd certainly buy a couple
Many out there are just cheap garbage Thanks for the link to some good ones. My grand kids were trying to play with some junk ones and were having a hard time. I blew their minds when I brought out a 40 year old butterfly I still had, and showed them what could be done with a good one.
You guys are so great, I really want to thank you! I started yoyoing when I was 13 but I didn't have a guide and I ended playing soon enough. Now I'm 22 and I'm again yoyoing because I found my old yoyo and got into your tutorials. After just 6 months I have now 4 yoyos, 2 in metal, and I want now all of them. Thank you for helping me re-discover this passion!
The fact that you are trying to reduce screen time for kids is great! My parents only let me play video games once a week, so they give me time for school and my hobbies, over the time, my results are, i can solve a Rubik's cube in under 20 sec, I can draw really well, and i can now kinda yoyo pretty well thanks to you.
Andrew Nguyen I find it noteworthy and a little comical- but if you don’t I can understand that. It’s not particularly funny- but I still find it unique!
ERPS GAMING its a great buy for its price and for those just starting out yoyoing. If you’ve been yoyoing for awhile tho, or want a yoyo that’s more reliable/professional than this isn’t the yoyo for you. So it’s a really great starter yoyo, but eventually upgrading to a metal bimetal, or Hybrid yoyo coupes really help out your game once you’ve mastered the basics :)
I’ve had a skyva as my first for a few days. I love it! It’s unresponsive and a pretty nice shape. It is pretty light, and I would recommend getting a nicer bearing, but definitely another good option.
After flipping balisongs for a decade, I feel like I want to get into yoyos again like I did with a cheap yoyo I played with around the same time I started with the knives. It was a chrome purple thrift store yoyo that I modded just enough to work.
Over the past two years I have been yo-yoing and I told 4 friends about the yo-yo and your website/app and now yesterday all of them have bought the fizz yo-yo (because I recommended it to them) and I’m buying a few yo-yos today. :)
0:32 that’s the most honest I’ve ever heard someone talk about the sales. -I’m just a speed cuber visiting the yo-yo side of RU-vid In case any other cubers are reading this I am still a novice 1min 13sec is my fastest
@@PassTheSnails yeah but once you know how to solve it you can get into more advanced and faster ways such as cfop or roux and will get your time down. He is a novice. He is not bad at speed cubing by any means but he can learn many things to further improve
This video encouraged me to buy an unresponsive yoyo but as u said I couldn't choose between wedge and replay but after seeing the videos u guys made on each of them i have decided to go with the wedge yoyo so thank you!! Very much!!! Your videos helped me a lot
I'm 45 years old, when I was 20s I was taking a yo yo class at the science store in northampton Massachusetts, I was never able to nail the man on the trapeze, I haven't done this in years, I feel reinvigorated by this video though.
@@xueqiong2000 yeah but the atlas is really good for horizontal 1a and 5a. If this dude likes to play horizontal its normal that he will get the atlas.
Mostly by looking at it and handling it. Once you have seen a couple of yoyo cross sections you can estimate where most of the weight is located in most yoyos.
I remember back in my day the Cold Fusion felt like the holy grail of yoyos. I was expecting the prices for your premium products to be around the same. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they are much cheaper than from back then.
As someone who can use a responsive yoyo without a problem and wants the responsive features, but also has the drive too learn advanced tricks and wants unresponsive features with a metal design, which one would you recommend!? Update: went with the Sage upgraded starter pack, super excited!
@@fattdamon1980 yeah how is it cause my mom is to cheap to get me pc and manga art miterials so I wondered could she get a me a freaking yoyo she won't even get that so I have to figure out a way to get it;-;
@@brandonteschner9170 you may be expecting too much from him judging by the attitude he showed. Some people never learn but hopefully he will. A pc is imo a pretty insane expectation and to call her cheap because she can't get it is plenty of explanation for why he wouldn't deserve it.
Exactly. When I started yoyoing I had to trade up for what I wanted. I went from a butterfly classic to a throw monkey to a hotshot. My parents were poor af but if I wanted something bad enough I would find a way to get it myself. Fatt you seem like a smart guy. I wish you best in your yoyo journey. I'm ordering my edge beyond this weekend lolololol
I’m a total beginner but I made it to the end of your video and I just want to congratulate you on your work! The presentation is seemless, informative, professional and very witty! Love your work, now I’m off to visit your website. Thank you!
Love your videos! It's been many years since I picked up my yo-yos and back in the day I guess the most complex trick I learned was the brain twister using a Yomega Raider yo-yo (not even sure if unresponsive yo-yos were a thing when I quit yo-yoing). I realize this video is about five years old now, but which yo-yo would you recommend now (2024) for someone relearning yo-yoing but would like to progress beyond the limitations of the Raider and learn more advanced tricks? Thank you!!!
Question: is there a way to make the sage look cooler without having to remold the whole thing or something crazy (what i mean by cooler is can I remove the label and make neon blue or something)
total unrelated to this vid but if you do a slack man on the flying trapeze and you stick your finger in the loop as your throwing the slack you end up in like a side split bottom mount, and i was wondering if their any good tricks that i could do from this position/mount.
YoTricks please help. I just got fast 201 and I can’t bind at all, I watched all your binds about it. Every time I drop it , it spins around horizontally but if i succeed when I try connect strings it starts doing the same thing
Hey Adam! Nice to see a new guide. I hope this gets a lot of people on the road to throwing. I really enjoyed talking with you at IL states. Best of luck!
I was scrolling Amazon and saw the xbrain on it a week ago. I was flooded with memories from 20 years ago lol. I ordered the Yomega Fireball and been having a blast lol
I subscribed and also I got the dv888 yo yo it works really well and I’m gonna get the sage starter kit. This RU-vid channel and store is something I trust thanks
DV 888 is sick. I picked up a Horizon in a store, and it just didn't quite work for me. I picked up a DV888 from yoyotricks and love it. so much better.
Paused at 4:06 to point out I am a dad, yoyo's were popular in middle/high school, and i would love to get some decent yoyo for myself and my sons to learn together! Just get to some yoyos already!!!
Hello whoever responds to me I just started yoyoing for 4 days and in only 2 I learned tricks like walk the dog, rock the cradle, boingy boing and atomic bomb I’ve felt like I really want to take on pro yoyoing but I need some answers To some of my questions #1 I started out with a unresponsive yo-yo I already can bind the string but I feel like I’m doing it to slow and is it a good idea to start with a unresponsive?#2 my dominant throwing makes the string squeeze my finger when I throw it hard and hurts a lot #3 I get scared throwing to hard fearing this might brake my yo-yo I’ve already chipped a tiny spot #4 how long did it take for you to be pros at doing these amazing tricks?!
Starting out unresponsive is fine. It is normal for your finger to hurt. It is not a problem, and it will go away on its own if you keep practicing for a couple more weeks. Try not to get a blister, and you will be just fine. Yoyos will break. It is better to just accept this and keep practicing. It takes every one a different amount of time. I have seen people become quite good in as little as 6 months.
I acedently deleted my last comment: I LOVE THE SAGE i got it about 3 hours ago and i havent put it down it is amazing. I love what you guys do, keep up the amazing vids. your Like/Dislike ratio is so good 390 likes and only 12 dislikes, WAY TO GO. (please heart and/or pin if you read this ) if you heart this i will go insane because a famous youtuber read my comment
I have an older yoyo called the Duncan bumblebee. They don't make it anymore and it has a crack in it... 1. Do you think I can put some super glue in the crack? Will it affect the play? 2. Do you know of any current yoyos with cork response pads like the bumblebee? I find it so cool
1. Wouldn't hurt to try. 2. That is the only yoyo like that ever made, I believe. The person who invented that moved onto the response system that is now in the Fizz yoyo we described in this video. He didn't like how quickly the cork ran out of responsiveness, which is why he invented the Fizz response, which does not wear out.
The ippon looks like it has a bit of a lotus flower shape around the edge which makes me think the name might be Japanese. It could be 一本 (ippon) which means "one" when counting round or cylindrical objects. Maybe as in "the ONE yoyo"? It would be pronounced similar to Nippon (Japan in Japanese).
I called my dad and told him about time away from the screen like you said, but he just asked me to get him out of the nursing home, what should I do next?
I'm just getting into yoyos and I'm debating on the beginner and the starter. I have this wooden one i got when I was younger but it just doesn't sleep.
(Sorry for late comment but thought I would put my opinion out there) IMO, if you haven't Yoyoed before, I would recomend the Sage (Starter Yoyo) because it can let you get the fundamentals down while being a GREAT yoyo that could carry you for probably years. The Fizz (Begginner) is ok, but it would be hard to continue on to tricks like double or nothing, 1.5, or heck, evan the Trapese and his brother. Really, I just have the Fizz to say that I have it. So yeah, I would recomend you get the Sage.
Hey Yotricks! Me and my friend have learned lots of tricks on your website. Recently we have run out of tricks to learn. Can you give us some tips on what we should do? Are the new tricks that you guys made in the past few months recommended?
This is not a comment on the video(It's great! keep it coming!) but on the store. I find myself constantly disappointed by the fact that when I go on it to pick up the yoyo's you're mentioning, it's either out of stock, or the colors/variation you are using in the video are not available at all. You often mention that aesthetics are important for many players and I feel your store could improve to uphold this. Note: I understand that sometime you have stocks and you try as much as possible to liquidate, then maybe you could consider preorderings/made-to-order.
Hey i wanna buy a yoyo that can be both responsive and unresponsive and makes it easy to do tricks like DNA. So do you have any recommendation and i would be glad if it is a metal and normal sized yoyo
I’m a total beginner and I just started by buying a cheap yo-yo from my local dollar store and doing the default (?) yo-yoing where you let it drop and yank it back up So should I get the fizz or the sage?
Are there any yoyos good for people with big hands? Cause i just got my first yoyo the yo3 herts and feels crazy small to me. I have really large hands lol im 6'5 300lbs
I have a metal yoyo which is local... so is the fizz better for 1 - 3a tricks? Or the sage or oracle? It's so confusing on the other hand I won't get more than 1 yoyo either. Pls help to tricks 😦😦😢
Can the canon be responsive too or is just unresponsive. I want to learn tricks but at the same time, i just want to play with the yo yo in a chill way. Up and down. I know the sage kit is perfect for that. But i love the green canon.
