What is the Danger of Shingles Near the Face & Head Area? 

I did have a mild case of shingles on the right upper part of my face, which I originally went to the doctor thinking I had "pink eye" be he said no , that's Shingles and got me an eye appt that day! I had one small blister on my nose, one in the corner by my eye, and a large, nickel size one on my forehead that gave me a headache! Not really any rash, is why I say a mild case. Got eye drops and pills for a few weeks, and was left with a slight scarring on my cornea that makes my vision in that eye slightly blurry! If I close my other eye, it is like I am looking through wet glass. Not too bad, it could have been worse! God Bless!

I had the shingles on the left side of my head down my neck to the tip of my nose. I was in the hospital for over a month and had to go to the infusion clinic every day for weeks. I had the shingles in 2018 on the face and now it under the skin infection... It really does hurt were i can't eat or drink well

I get outbreaks on the back of my head about 2 or 3 times a year the past 4 years and have only treated it medically once. I wonder what danger rear head shingles causes. I'm almost 39 so I can't get a vax.
