i thought i have a IUL but i have a VUl should i get new IUL? or change to IUL? my rate of returns were good 21 years...I i buy a new IUL now 46 years old what is the cost $?

I personally prefer the IUL over the VUL. Only because you can still LOSE money in a market downturn in a VUL. You can 1035 exchange your VUL to an IUL, but you need to be careful of surrender charges. If you are able and ready to set up a second policy, diversifying into an IUL would be a great thing to consider.

Right, but because of the cap on IUL you won’t see as much growth on great years. Also, IULs are NOT regulated, VULs are regulated and more strict on suitability. It also depends on your time horizon. If you’re younger, VUL will get you more growth than IUL because of the cap on the IULs. The cap is a big deal. Sure there is a floor… but the cap is VERY limiting.

@@DavidAnthonyFlores just like the cap is important so is the floor. It doesn’t take many down years to bring the average rate of return down and some IUL still have uncapped strategies.
