There have been a lot of talk of lights flickering, with high-frequency inverters. Old style washing machines also can cause lights to pulse, more so on high frequency inverters. This is probably being improved, but is a clear consideration.

Will these New HF inverters last years like LF inverters? Wight, size, additional storage, and generation are not an issue for folks like me. Reliability is my NUMBER ONE concern.

lost me with hot water service as a surge. Surge is caused by some sort of rotary motion/ compressor like a fridge, an air compressor, a large power tool startup like a lathe etc.

Heat pump water heaters use a compressor motor.

Wow, that caught my attention, you guys gave me something new to think about. I purchased two brand new inverters on eBay just to operate my kitchen appliances such as; refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Everything was operating great in my kitchen for a period of four days when suddenly one of my inverters set off an alarm and now it is trash. The other inverter lights up when turned on but won't send power to my kitchen. After listening to what was said, I now have some hope. If I can't come up with the answer as to what i did wrong, it will happen again. I'm going to try a different inverter type. Is grounding very important?

Grounding - yes - very much so. Call one of our sales engineers to talk with them about how to get things going right.

@@MissouriWindandSolar Thanks for the information, and I'm going to go with what you said in spite of what I've been told by two electricians. Looking forward to have a chat with an engineer in your neck of the woods. For starters, I purchased an Aims 12-volt 4000 watt split phase inverter charger.
