These guys are confusing 'solar elevation' or 'altitude' as an angle measurement with declination. Declination has to do with the where earth is in its orbit around the sun and the earths axis tilt as an angle. Example: in Fairbanks, AK on 20 December (winter solstice) the shortest day of the year the sun is only 2.02° above the horizon at the culmination (brightest part of the day), but the declination at that time is -23.44°. Still in Fairbanks, during the Spring Equinox 19 March at culmination(13:58) the sun is 25.11° above the horizon and the declination is -0.084°. During the Summer solstice 20 June the sun angle is 48.62° above the horizon at culmination and the declination is 23.441°. In Daytona Beach, FL on 20 June at culmination the sun is nearly directly overhead at 84.27° above the horizon and the declination is 23.441°. If you are interested, the tilt of the earths axis is approximately 23.5°........ hey that is interesting!
Wes, great to see such a good and well-reasoned bunch of setups. Can you help me as a beginner with a hookup please? I've taken the plunge and bought two Chinese turbines, one vertical and one horizontal. I have three-wire wind generators, and common inexpensive potted wind rectifiers/controllers that came with. All three wires from the generator are the same color: Red. And the three controller wires are all the same color, also. Does it matter which generator wire goes to which controller terminal/wire?, or can the hookup be made in any fashion, and still have the same (identical, is it?), best result? The face of the controller package has a diagram of a three-bladed wind turbine blade, with the center wire of the three controller wires coming from the second (middle one) of the three generator wires. If the order of the hookup matters at all, how can I determine which generator wire is that center wire? Or, as I speculate, since all the wires and terminals have the same color, does the order of the hookup to the controller (rectifier) simply not matter at all? In any case, how did YOU proceed, and manage to get a good result in the hookup? Please help! Others here may have this question, too. Thanks!, --Joe / Tucson ARIZONA
Wow... after all these years... i still won't buy anything from you... i wanted a 1000w solar system, and when i said i was from southeast ohio you laughed in my face and hung up on me... i had to buy it at a higher cost from another company that was almost $3000 more than yours.. i will bad review your monarch and company until the day i die
I have have had to go out and spray my air conditioner with the house on days when its 115 because its not cooling the house i notice an immediate difference, and it cools off the house so i am gonna have to buy one these
If you had had this system available at last year's (2023) Ozark Homesteading Expo, I would have bought 2. Set it up and put a price on the kit so the girls can just point. Teach the girls how to sell and not say, "He knows the details. He will be back in a little while."
he is a con man bought on of his wind generator's never could get any production out of it claimed 2000 watt checked it in 30 mph wind on at 80 feet in the air and nothing waist of money
What about grounding? My 3 phase wind turbine isn't charging my batteries. It is an AC generator. I don't have it grounded, do I need to ground it's body? I am not using a rectifier, I have a charge controller with a built in rectifier. 3 in from turbine and 2 out to batteries, yet no charging is happening. The light from the turbine on the controller is just barely lighting faint and the battery light is bright green.
Evaporative cooling from spraying your condenser is pretty much equivalent to dumping nitrous oxide into an automobile engine. With my 40 year old GE unit on a 100 degree day, partially misting the coil dropped power usage by 580 watts, liquid line temp from 111 to 76 degrees, outlet air from 56 to 51 degrees, and increasing the temperature drop from about 17 degrees to 21 degrees. Definitely not something I'd do long term due to mineral deposits and corrosion, but well worth it on 100+ degree days when the A/C just can't keep up and runs continuously all afternoon,
Still gonna get a shit ton of lint covering everything in the room and in your HVAC. You must add a screen to the holes in the lid. You will need to clean those and you'll still get some lint in your house but not nearly as much.
do not buy here uit is ascum products dont work and false advertisement on oits web pages this crininal. where is the note here that it does not work for lithium batteries. fucking shit head
Carle, are you or have you felt sick ?????? Becareful brother, another fellow that I call Bromate. He was looking for Kenny Veach, who is missing, I've heard. Cave Bromate looks very crook at the middle sector of film, throwing up badly. Further away from the cave, the better he felt . ❤ belive in you, Carle, and what you doing is trying to discover the truth about our ancestors, etc. There's nothing wrong with that . Im interested in this stuff too , as in our schooling you know what I mean dock something tion word . I'd love to come over to meet people's from all over the world . That's why I'd probley want to stay up at Jeff's property to freight expensive drum kit across from Australia to out Narvarda Desert and possibly alone as so ranch may feel my intentions and so my vibrations are mutual. Spiritual world will see that . If i can find a partner and / or another musician, I'll work on that. Try to make it happen for a couple of year plan ❤I love your work, Carle. hope your family is well wow broth you've been right amongst it great footage 👍 ❤ over out .
Cool video. Some thoughts, and i know this film is 10 years old so...) I would not use schedule 80 pipe. My understanding is that the strength is related directly to wall thickness and to the cube of diameter. So same amount of steel half the thickness and twice the diameter (same weight) will be 4x stronger. So I usually use 10 or 12 gauge tubing. Also (I didn't used to do it this way but now I do).... it's nice to let the gin pole have it's own pivot. And... threading pipe together as a coupling system scares me. It's by far the weak link in the tower. But... it works!
Think I'll start by shading my unit. I painted it white to reflex the sun a bit. Will also try the mister but with the filter, keep seeing comments about corrosion so it makes sence.
I want to know the facts on exactly how the system works I don't care about the salesmanship b******* I know you gotta sell the product however I wanna know exactly how it hooks up and works thank you
