Most people today don't remember when the A's were a dynasty, the most dominant team in major league baseball. They won three consecutive World Series from 1972-74 when I was in high school. The Raiders were also an elite team in those years, winning the Lombardi in 1976. How many people remember the Day on Green concerts? Promoted by Bill Graham, these concerts featured the best musicians and bands of the day. Rock 'n' roll history was made in this stadium, in addition to baseball and football. I'll link a video of a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert in 1977 that I just happened to be it. The Coliseum was at one time most hallowed ground. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QxIWDmmqZzY.html
I am almost always sad at the demise of any sports field or stadium. The Coliseum will be the only exception. Wipe it out from existence, yesterday if possible!
