Since they mentioned Leviathan in 2.4 story, I think they are setting up some future lore about VORACITY. I hope in 2.6 or 2.7 we'll get Dusk War as the next SU DLC.
I am extremely pumped about more Voracity lore. Perhaps the vampire species that Obsidian is could be indicative of the Voracity’s descendants similar to how the vidyradians are Permanence’s descendants.
I don't disagree that there could be those in the IPC who do not believe in/follow the Preservation, but I don't think it's fair to say that nothing the IPC does is related to Preservation. It is true that Qlipoth builds barriers and isolates world, but I think it's important to remember that THEY are separating "the living worlds... from the endless void" (from the profile). Whatever the motives are, Qlipoth protects/preserves the "living world" from the leviathans as well as other perceived enemies. In their own way (their own potentially immoral way, though morality is subjective and rejectable in the face of outcomes) I think one could argue the IPC attempts to protect/preserve the "living worlds" by creating a system (an unequal, corrupt, and likely comparable to real life systems) which centralizes and controls the economy (presumably of the entirety of the "living worlds"), maintain stability and order within their sphere of influence, and expand said sphere of influence. Ultimately, whatever deals, negotiations, trades, etc. the IPC makes they will try and have it be in the favor/best interest (they will in some way benefit). That being said, it doesn't seem as though the IPC takes and takes at such a voracious rate/quantity. If, for example, a planet is incorporated into the IPC it will have to provide some benefit, but it does not seem as the though the IPC consumes and consumes until there is nothing left. Similarly, the exchanges Jade has been shown to make seemingly benefit her/the IPC but she does not take without what has been agree upon as a fair exchange. It may be manipulative, but again not voracious to the point I would think of Oroboros. I guess if we compare Oroboros to a parasite (taking from/consuming of the host without giving anything in return) I feel the IPC could maybe be compared to a more symbiotic relationship (where they still take more than they give, but they do provide some benefit to those they interact with).
@@TheGamerChronicles999 I'm definitely not discounting the idea that mutliple Aeons could hold power/influence over those in the IPC, but I do think the systems (bureaucracy, hierarchies, etc.) set up by the IPC are less likely to be influenced by outside Aeons (at least without it being intentional). Also, this is completely speculative, but I just have this feeling that the messaging behind the IPC from Hoyo isn't gonna be that it could work/be a good thing if not for those bad faith actors inside of it and instead maybe something more along the lines that while the people inside may not be 'bad' perse, the system in which the operate is. Which feels almost like the opposite of Penacony where the system itself wasn't necessarily bad but there were those within it will ulterior motives.
Not saying this is how Qliphoth rolls but you can be an emanator without being a pathstrider. Though the option is usually Nihility. Aeons can just grant anybody emanator powers so long it doesn't go against their role. Aha did it.
True. But for Acheron she ended up being Forced to being an Eminator. IX never thought to gave them powers. She just had a chance encounter with them than ended up giving her power.
Thing is. IX literally doesn't care about anything. So Acheron is basically the only Eminator of Nihility. An Eminator that shouldn't exist. One who gained their power to the Apathy of the Aeon.
I like how in mentions of diamonds, it's either relayed through a message or depicted with an empty chair. Meaning that it's a ruse from ouroboros, or he is actively trying to persevere planets as a low ranking worker
My thoughts about Voracity is that it has a certain attribute that parallels with Propagation. Both of these Paths are purely instinctual, we’re told that Aeons are manifestation of a philosophical belief, and at the same time, they are something more than this as well. Propagation tells us that the Path itself is purely the acts of Propagation, nothing more, nothing less. The Philosophy of Propagation is entirely irrelevant to the Path of Propagation, it’s merely the sole instinct to populate. In Penacony, the Path of Voracity is mentioned when we eat the floating ice creams, and it’s us wondering if we’re experiencing the Path of Voracity. It wasn’t an act of worship, or an act of actively pursuing Voracity, it was just simply our nonchalant action of consuming. Propagation is a rather complex instinct, while Voracity is a more simple instinct. Now, as for IPC following the Path of Voracity, I wonder if it’s a bit more than that. Like you said, the IPC are establishing control over every world they encounter, well what if that control isn’t just being established over worlds, but Paths as well? What if the IPC wants to control all of the Paths, and the Path of Preservation is simply the first Path they took control over, thus calling themselves Followers of Preservation. The IPC (Preservation) are working together with the Garden of Recollection (Remembrance), Intelligencia Guild (Erudition), Xianzhou Alliance (Hunt, and consequently, Permanence), I wouldn’t be surprised if the Omen Vanguard (Finality) have some deal with them, and also a potential deal with Doctors of Chaos (Nihility), there’s also a desire to be on friendly terms with the Astral Express (Trailblaze). The recent deal made with Penacony (Harmony), and with their continuing control over every world, finding fragments of Idrila would be relatively easy, so having some partnership with Mirror Holders (Beauty) is very possible. This would leave the Paths of Destruction, Elation (Masked Fools?), Voracity (surviving Leviathans??), Propagation (Swarm???) , Abundance (Denizens of Abundance, but not every race), and finally Equilibrium (Arbiters, I suppose?). This leads me to speculate two possible theories. The IPC are actually Followers of Equilibrium and are simply expressing control over everything to enforce Equilibrium. Or, the IPC are Followers of Paths, individuals who believe that Paths control the universe, so those who control the Paths, control the Universe. (Sounds a bit familiar right? Those who control the Abyss, controls the world?) Oh, and the Enigmata is definitely within the IPC, considering how the IPC is constantly hiding the truth. History Fictionologist can always be so fun to find.

@@ianreder2718 I thought so as well, until I remembered that Mourning Actors are firm believers against Elation, this would make Mourning Actors a very likely candidate of joining the IPC. And since we have a Faction of Elation against the Elation, why not a Faction of Destruction against the Destruction? After all, wouldn’t destroying the Destruction still be considered an act of Destruction? As for a faction of Destruction working with the IPC, I’ve currently worked out two possibilities, the IPC might control the Destruction through restraining it, or alternatively, there could exist a faction of Destruction who is perfectly fine with the idea of the IPC controlling the Destruction. After all, it wouldn’t be too far fetched to consider betrayal as an act of Destruction … could the IPC work with a Lord Ravager? Honestly, there’s still a bit more we can understand about the Destruction, some group in the Annihilation Gang might even work with the IPC to control the Path in hopes that it would gain them the approval of Nanook.

Right now we can't see Diamond's action directly so his intentions are reflected in the ways of doing of the stonehearts. In the Stonehearts Celestial Myriad, probably half of them don't seem preservation-like especially the highest ranking ones (Opal, Jade, and Obsidian), only Aventurine and Topaz has the heart and will to follow Preservation intently Yes i do still believe that Taravan is the most likely the imposter here but there's also a possibility that even Diamond is corrupted in someway or another

Well so far diamond is the only one that's doing any real preservation around in the ipc Aventurine and topaz are proof of this as he was the one that decided to preserve them from their dying planets and jade acts as his recruiter for recruiting people into the strategic investment dept Among oswaldo and taravan, diamond is the only one that at least did some action of preservation in the ipc while the other seemed to caused more destruction than anything

Obstacle to Finality? Voracity is simply ONE of the Finality's many manifestations. Any sort of inevitable end to a cycle heralds Finality. Destruction, Nihility, and Voracity will simply be feeding into Finality.

@@TheGamerChronicles999i think the IPC can gonna be a civil war with the Stonehearts and the others apartments. It's just a little push and they're going to jump on each other's necks... Well at least most of them. And what's gonna happen after that? Well, the IPC gonna fragment and the apartments gonna separated for differents ways. The worlds that they submit, gonna take the resurces that left them (and there is much for a world or a solar sistem) and going back their idependence and make they own progress without the IPC. But they still use credits because everyone use it... At least, for a time.
Both Taravan Keane and Diamond are confirmed Emanators of Preservation. The Path of Preservation is not limited to Barriers, but also related to Transmutation & Conservation; opposite of Destruction which is related to War, Antimatter & Entropy. Hence, why the extraction of planets to produce a Cornerstone equates to Preservation not Voracity, and why Qlipoth has powers to smash, extract & seal Tayzzyronth. Qlipoth is like a Guardian Alchemist Metalsmith, whilst Nanook is like a Warmongering Sorceror Blacksmith.
In my opinion of I had to guess which of the Ten Stone hearts might follow the Voracity it'd be: Sugilite, Jade(Debatable), Agate, and Obsidian. While those who'd actually follow Preservation would be Aventurine, Topaz, Sapphire, and Pearl. Opal and Amber are too hard to tell. And I agree that Diamond is trying to reclaim the IPC for the actual path of Preservation and he's not afraid to teach out to parties who might help him that the IPC doesn't like i.e. the Stellaron Hunters. It'll be interesting to see once we finally meet him. Plus to give Diamond some credit he didn't want to remove Aventurine and actually wanted him to stay in the Stone hearts. Can't wait till we get to Pier Point.
Interesting theory I'd like to go back to the 10 stonehearts videos with that idea I don't rmb all but The purple stone dude - voracity of wealth (is seen with huge wealth) Aventurine - voracity of always gambling (is always gambling without stopping ever) Topaz - voracity of taxes (her whole life got dedicated to apply ipc taxes) Jade - voracity of deals (wherever she goes, she's always making deals) Obsidian might be about killing? Opal seems to be about power itself, with the army he had I didn't searched very deep into that, but that's the first thing that came into my mind
The Oroboros theory is very good. If Oroboros is still alive in a prison of preservation mabye its still able to corrupt others even preservation itself.
I just think the stone hearts kind of follow different paths… but not specifically the voracity… Aventurine is mentioned to have nothing in common with the preservation and is mentioned to be much closer to the Elation which was said in the 2.1 quest… Jade is likely the stand in for the Voracity with all her biblical references with the term leviathan coming from the bible and her whole serpent motif… and her trailer having countless Ouroboros symbols… this was even mentioned by Old Oti that said Qlipoth and Ena teamed up in the past to defeat the Voracity and Propagation however Ena was assimilated so he questioned why the preservation would work the the Harmony over the Order… where Jade responded something along the lines of it being in the past All the stone hearts could be closer to other paths but still choose the IPC to work with and the head of the department, Diamond likely knows this because he chose them… they may be closer to other paths, but are still valuable assets to preservation Also I specifically said “are closer to other paths” not that they’re directly following them… Aventurine is closer to Elation but follows the IPC and by proxy the preservation even if he doesn’t care for it… I think assuming it’s strictly the Voracity is inaccurate since claiming all of them are voracity is a stretch and there’s no basis for that… the IPC is a corporate entity designed to help build walls against leviathans, the workers don’t really matter too much… the IPC obviously works for the preservation, they don’t all have to be pathstriders
I do wonder... If once one becomes an eminator it is irreversible. If so, Aeons may be unable to take that power back at all, perhaps because of some rule we don't know about. We know so little about the selection process... And I believe we've only met two confirmed eminators in person? Acheron and Phantiliya. Herta is... Not in-person. Everyone has theories about others but I believe those three are the confirmed ones we meet in some capacity. They gain powers, sure, but their goals don't necessarily align with their Aeon. Case in point, the search for an indestructible body. Also Aha is mentioned to have deliberately chosen one of the Actors, a faction that opposes the Elation. So being an Eminator gives a person power, but it doesn't mean you can't change to become a person who opposes the very Aeon who gave you power. Acheron has a difficult time proving this because IX literally doesn't care enough to stop anyone, but still. It should be possible.
In 11:20, I think it’s not actually that crazy to be an emanator and stop believing in your path. I remember Acheron was told before going to Penacony that her path (nihility) wasn’t welcome there, and she literally answered “even if that’s not what I want?”, as if the fact of her being an emanator was a past coincidence, but it’s not her true wish to fulfill the nihiilitys will: she actually resists against it. She even wanted to reach the “nihilitys end (device x)”, and reaching the end of the end to put an end to her eon I think
Nihility is not caring, if IX doesn't care Acheron won't lose her powers, it doesn't matter what she does, that's the point of the path. Self- annihilators is just another word for Su*cide. It doesn't matter
Yeah no, people need to keep in mind that just because IPC acts how it does, does not mean they are following another aeon in secret or accidentally similar to Sunday. Look at how the Galaxy rangers hunt all evil, not just abominations, or how the Pepeshi Merchant Family Head's greed comes in the form of Harmony where Xipe comes off as more benevelont.

The IPC following the preservation never made a ton of sense to me. THIS fits so much better. I love your theory and lore videos!! They actually help me engage with the game so much more.
it was weird since Qlipoth was all about protection while the IPC is more about greed and are rlly money hungry but nothing about preservation in them. Also the leviathans where here before the aeons themselves, and Oroboros being their species would likely mean that THEY are the first Aeon since the IPC claims it's Qlipoth while Herta cant get any information on THEM due to the IPC stopping her so she lost "interest"
as you hinted at with the thumbnail and usage of jade's trailer footage, i'm pretty sure she's deeply connected to ouroboros. on all levels she's the personification of voracity, from her serpentine appearance and heavy snake imagery to her signature that looks like "eve" in some of her combat animations, everything about her gameplay builds the image of a hungry and brutal serpent. not to mention how she literally withholds what her clients offer in exchange for granting their wishes, even though they pay with a price often greater than what they'd be able to afford. she consumes proudly and voraciously and doesn't care about the consequences of exchanges. some other interesting things that hint to that same idea are the names of some of her movements, specifically her technique "visionary predation" and her ultimate "vow of the deep", which interestingly aligns with the hidden, distant state of oroboros in the current moment and summons a literal gigantic snake to swallow opponents. she's also shown to be able to manipulate time and fate themselves as implied in her third character story and when she forever altered the luck of that gambling addict, an interesting power that might be related to oroboros' extreme age and power. she's definitely one of the stonehearts i'm most interested in and will, without a doubt, be a part of whatever involves the IPC and oroboros going forward. she might be our first introduction to a pathstrider of voracity, even if indirectly and based on pure theorycrafting so far
This actually makes sense there all follow greed, and power by any cost plus we can’t forget boothill says that a emanator can use there power as they please and they can follow a different path even though there a emanator of a certain path

This could be a very good story arc once we set foot on IPC territory on future patches. I picture it as we got like an invite for some reason cuz we are the nameless, and we get to meet diamond cuz he knows the IPC is getting sussy, and then we do the superhero save the day thingy as usual and find out some deep lore shit and we get to pull for diamond :D
Hmmmmm... Sounds like a very promising scenario for MiHoYo devs. As in 2.4 story I noticed they mentioned Ruan Mei way often, Ruan Mei probably means genius society is doing something BIG (not sure about it as we don't know much about their structure and what their relationships to each other, but I think mostly they are acting individually) + we have IPC, as we know from trailer IPC is preparing for a universe scale WAR and creating new weapons, mb they are even cooping with Ruan Mei for that right now.
Counterpoint: There are multiple examples of emanators that don't follow their Aeon. Both Nihlity and Elation have emanators who oppose the Aeon. Elation because THEY think it's fun to troll THEIR enemies, and Nihlity because THEY might not know it happened.
I feel like in the future there will be a confict inside ipc and that will be the first part of the ipc story. I think the reason they didn't show stonehearts as straight up evil so far is because I feel like we are gonna side with them against Oswaldo.
Okay i have a question(might be a dumb question) There are characters like topaz, who follows the path of the hunt but works for the IPC, like isnt it kinda weird that she doesnt follow the path of preservation. Same goes for the trailblazers(path of the trailblaze). Is this just a thing for the game so we dont have 10 preservation characters or can characters follow 2 paths or is there a other lore reason? Love all the lore vids btw
Between her sadistic and greedy personnality and all of her snake imagery, Jade looks really like a candidate for a follower of voracity. With Obsidian looking for a bloodbath, some of the stonehearts don't seem very in tune with preservation. I think we either do not really undertsand the meaning of preservation in hsr of the corruption of the voracity runs really deep

Interesting theory but.. A) Voracity is probably not the oldest aeon B) you cannot communicate with Voracity (SU) and there's no known followers of Voracity. While it's true that the IPC is corrupted I think we need more informations to assume who they follow and how they started following voracity
I feel like preservation is not an honest description, i feel like its more akin to conservation. if something can be conserved and have less energy use, then expansion has different uses for it.
Don’t forget that the first planet followed preservation and they represent it better as they preserved their morals and self identity something the ipc goes against m And yet they are the ones that receive special treatment it’s odd

Topaz number 1 Jades a close 2nd. Stoked to get a full IPC team simply bc it reminds me of ICP lol. Get the clowns. Also such a great game. Especially for a phone game.
i think something worth mentioning is that Sugilite has purple flames in the stonehearts trailer, and purple flames are often synonymous with the voracity :D
"Verocity" is not the same word as "Voracity" - sorry this one point is driving me crazy, but I think you're dead on about the actual principles the IPC is following
