The way Muslim men act like fanboys of Andrew Tate bothers me. I’m not against him converting, but to use him as a way to confirm their own views disgusts me. Tate will hopefully grow up and knock his rhetoric down a few notches, but when we have the prophet saw to look up to, why are Muslim boys idolizing Tate? I will never get that.

The backlash against these unchecked ideologies is likely going to create a shockwave more dangerous than ever seen. And Tate is a minuscule tip of the iceberg. And his conversion is likely to calm him down and wisen him. It is the Tate that is coming up that won’t convert that is likely going to blow off the Richter scale.

What worries me is that many young men both muslim and non-muslim seem to idolize Tate. Now with his arrest - even most muslim men are insisting Tate is honourable etc. I am not a follower of Tate and obviously it is not my place to judge. But having been a non-muslim before I get the impression Tate has this attitude of women being objects, possesions, and its ok for a man to have multiple partners but the "woman" must be faithful no matter what. Seems like many young ignorant muslim men agree with this attitude which is scary. And also it is these type of men that Tate is pulling towards Islam. Having a bunch of men who convert to Islam but still holding on to jahiliyah attitudes towards women can only be harmful to the ummah in the long run.😔

Assalamualaikum. My take on this: 1. The syeikh mentioned the qualities of real men according to the Quran which are answering the azan to pray at the masjids, not afraid to speak and stand up for the truth, sacrificing themselves when push comes to shove, loving and caring towards women and etc - these are the qualities that have been explicitly expressed by Hamas, other Palestinian factions and the Taliban. They are the last bastion of truth in these end times. 2. He indirectly referred to Andrew Tate (A.T) talking bad to women. There are multiple clips where A.T explicitly said women need to cared and provided for. A.T also said some of the same quality of masculine traits in a man - you must be prepared to bleed and die when push comes to shove. He also said some of his wordings could've been worded better in retrospect. 3. The syeikh didn't mention anything on feminism in this clip. Some people say this is balanced. I digress becoz I initially kept quiet when a whole bunch of Muslim women spoke against polygyny which Allah approves, but when these same women said that our faraidh (inheritance) laws are unjust since the women only get half, I can no longer side with them. These so called Muslim feminists are literally opposing the laws which Allah said and trying to change the notion of the Quran. 4. Syeikh also correctly mentioned that men are protectors and responsible for women. Any responsibility comes with a degree of authority. For the women as mothers, they have a degree of authority over their children according to our syariah. Unfortunately these Muslim feminists want us to be responsible for them as husbands without having the authority i.e they refuse to obey and listen. Multiple podcasts and tea talks have confirmed this. For context, I'm a Muslim professional male from Malaysia who is desperately trying to hold my house together against these feminist views and finding the struggle to be exasperating.

My theory is that we have boys/young men in our communities who have been essentially raised by one parent (mother) while father was physically there but not the male figure that they needed to be for their sons. A present-absent father. So boys growing up have no clue as what it means to be a man, b/c they were never taught and it was never modeled by the most important male figure in their lives, their father. So mother raises the boy until adulthood, coddling him and in a way, poisoning him. He believes that the fake machismo present in men like Tate are what a man is or should be, b/c what else is he supposed to think? He's lost and he has to come up with his own conception as an adult.

Context is key in this. Another aspect of rijal is standing up to oppression wherever it may come from and not fearing to be canceled. And a nasty word is allowed to the one who is oppressed. I don’t think that celebrity shoyookh are gaging the issue enough or otherwise are more “careful” of what they say, which is even worse than the first thing mentioned. I haven’t followed Tate and don’t plan to, but the things he raise are à just and measured stance against feminism, and from the videos of him I have seen, he didn’t put all women in the same bag as he claim to willingly be a provider and protector to his family. Now the problem is if you find yourself too offended as a Muslimah, either you are concerning yourself of what does not address you, or you are harboring feminist streaks which are more destructive to the family unit than a single Tate. The practicing muslim youth pays attention and are feeling the same neutering pressures brought about by these feminists equality nonsense. If you understand the breath and depth of feminism and all you find to say when Tate converts is disgust, then check your allegiance to these anti islamic ideologies proliferating that no sheikh is willing or able to take a “rijalic” stance against.
@ahmedhajwani8980
@ahmedhajwani8980 Год назад
It's true that a lot of things which Tate said were correct but still he did speak things which weren't supposed to be said and were demeaning towards female and if I remember correctly that was after he had converted. Like an example where he said that the reason Allah allowed men to have multiple wives is because a woman can have only one baby and it takes about 9 months for her. That means if I want 20 children then and you can't give me 20 children in a short duration of time , then it is a "you"( female) probelm. Now tell me isn't this him putting down women and Allah's creation? The process of a being a mother and carrying a child is very blessed in Islam yet he directly calls it a "problem". And also there are other examples too. So that's the reason why a lot of our women are against him since he isn't changing his views even after being a muslim and we muslim brothers don't address these issues. I personally am not a fan nor am I a hater of him. But as I said before being a muslim what he did doesn't matter to but now he needs to say those correct things according to Islam which he used to say while being a non muslim along with correcting the wrongs. And yeah I understand it's not possible to change all of his views so fast,but a simple solution to that is for him is to first confirm his controversial point from a muslim scholar before speaking it instead of continuing what he used to do before and just spewing stuff without knowing whether it's Islamic or not.
@lilyrosesoul0077
@lilyrosesoul0077 Год назад
I have a problem with the fact that part of his income is derived from webcam girls. No matter what - a man whose income comes from pornography at some level he views women literally as a sub species to be exploited. My worry is that he will carry this attitude with him even after conversion to Islam and he will continue to propogate this attitude and indirectly or directly influence muslim men to have this attitude towards women. He already has a slew of non-muslim youtubers converting to Islam. In one interview i watched he kept telling a non-muslim man to convert because he could marry a virgin bride and he kept emphasing how muslim women were expected to be virgins until marriage etc. No mention of how muslim men must also practice celibacy until marriage - i got the impression he implied men dont need to be refrain from pre marital sex. So its scary how he is pulling people towards islam but in the wrong way. And this pushes non-muslim women away from Islam because Tate seems to selling the concept that women are mere sex objects and baby producers in Islam.😔

He advocated for sleeping around yes (pre islam), but islam caters for wealthy men who want multiple partners via polygamy. Most of his other statements however I don't see how they are controversial or against islamic principles of gender roles. And the reason muslim men are putting him on a pedestal is because he is one of the most famous men in the world and so has a huge reach and opportunity to convert many more people, not because they hate the other gender. The only people fighting amongst each other are muslims and feminists who are not happy someone has come to islam. It isn't men vs women, rather muslims vs feminists.

You can talk about polygyny all you want, but according to YQ's explanation, can you handle the responsibility, which is beyond financial? Do you have the emotional intelligence to handle being married to up to 4 women? Do you have to ability to maintain fairness both financially and in treatment? That takes an emotional maturity a lot of men don't have, quite frankly. Is it about satisfying your ego or satisfying Allah SWT? There is a reason women are skeptical of men that talk about polygyny all the time. Because everyone involved is going to know very quickly and it may end being a blessing or a nightmare for all involved. All I see are men trying to cut corners and say that equality in treatment is not really required, etc. etc. etc.

Allow me to educate you about him. Not all of his contents are bad but the majority is. Here's what he does. He says some crazy things, drops sprinkles of truths in there and adds sexist remarks. The crazy things catch people's attention and the sprinkles of truth make them think that everything he says is correct. You're a prime example. Yes, he speaks against feminism and lgbt. But he does offer a rather hedonistic ideal fueled by desires of the worldly life. Nobody is putting extra conditions on him. His influence was mostly bad. Yes, he does portray some of the traditional masculinity our generation is lacking. But to accept most of his ideals as "correct"? That only shows how we have failed to educate our young ones about masculinity. His idea of masculinity, marriage, women is wrong. I'm not talking about the times he speaks against woke culture or the western views, I'm saying that his views in general are bad. Saying that men own women, cheating is okay, a father need not be around his children are just some of it. Since nobody is being able to say what he says and the fact that he praises Islam is making Muslims ignore most of what negative he said. Many of his views are wrong while some are correct. That doesn’t mean we put him on a pedestal and pretend he was completely in line with Islam even before his conversion. He's obviously welcome and nobody is saying he has more conditions to follow. Many are simply concerned about thr fact that many of his views aren’t exactly islamic. You’d expect the red pillers who are high on the reddest of red pills to have some of the negative views he has. Hence, the concern.

@@humamaltamash4345 Name one misrepresentation by me. You can't. He promoted (I would not be surprised if he still does) hedonistic goals, he puts down women by promoting cheating and sleeping around and says crazy things about pretty much everything, including women. You don't need to be a leftist to understand that many his views are as wrong as they could be. And you did not read my comment, did you? I never denied the fact that his conversion is sincere. Nor did I deny that all his previous sins are forgiven. His views are still out there and those videos are promoting haram things. Nobody is putting extra conditions on him. This is going over your head it seems. His views are far from good but just because he speaks against the left and what "culture" this leftism created, many Muslims see him in a good light. And just because he speaks good of Islam, the Muslims lose their minds over him. Yes, some of his views are good and in line with Islam but the majority of his views are far from it. But many Muslims such as yourself take the sprinkle of truth he says and then applies it to the majority of his content calling it "good". Let me clear things up for you one last time. Nobody is denying his conversion of the fact that his sins are forgiven. People are simply concerned about his views because there are still many videos where his views are still being promoted. What makes you think the majority of his content is good? Have you taken your time actually doing your research or have you just decided to be like the ones that are supporting him regardless and putting his negative impact on the side just because he's being criticized by the extremist lefts? Take your time, do your research and you will find that his content that people are concerned about are basically him saying crazy things, promoting hedonism, telling people that they need to cheat and sleep around, putting down women, saying crazy things in an unironic way all the while sprinkling some truths here and there. Those sprinkles of truths are what he says against the left and says things that are in line with Islam. Just because he says a positive impact does not change that he has a bigger negative impact on the Muslim youth because they have nobody that's speaking against the left in such a strong manner. They will draw many of their ideals from him and will draw the negative things as well. The fact that his past videos are still out there and influencing people is what the concern is about but some people completely deny the fact that he used to have a negative impact and still his videos are having a negative impact on the Muslim youths. Whenever confronted, these people get defensive saying that we're either denying his conversion or we are simply ignoring that his past sins are forgiven. We are not doing that. We're simply concerned about his past videos still going around influencing others. I hope that he changes his views that are misogynistic and are against Islam. Regardless of what you say, his past videos and opinions were heaven for misogynists. That is all the concern we have. If you think that we're being influenced by the left then my friend, you are as blind as people can get. Have a good day.
