@@Mihdick step 1 Get a 60 lvl character and farm some credits. step 2 Put some of them in the legancy bank. step 3 get the credits out on a low lvl character. On lvl 60 you get 9-1k in gear that you can sell to any npc vendor alone (+ credits from heroic mission and whatever creds/items you loot from higher lvl enemies.) getting 200k for new character is not so much work. Only thing wrong is..... i learned about this bank just now yet my account is like 10+ years so im starting pretty much from scratch 😐 So yea that could be like one of the main mission kind of a thing not pushed into fleet section that can be easily missed (if you don;t care about player housing you pretty much don;t have a reason to go there.).
I remember when this was added all the way back in 1.2. Such a long time ago and a huge thing ahead of it's time. I would love to see it expanded on but as it is now, other MMOs should adopt it.
I've consistently played this game since day one, have 20+ maxed out characters and level 50 legacy on two servers, yet you still teach me new info that's been available to me for over a decade now. This is why you are the swtor goat.
I'm a month in after being gone for 10 years. So MUCH has changed, but I'm so glad I came back. SWTORISTA has been so helpful in getting me caught up to speed, she's got every aspedt covered and I couldnt be more grateful.
I spent about 8 hours today doing the Corellia story arc and man did it feel good being called “The Conqueror Of Corellia” by the Dark Council member after finishing the story arc on that planet.
Howdy lady! Thank you for keeping swtor content going. I've written two fanfic books as a sort of love letter about swtor. I totally used a lot of the stuff on your website to confirm or check things. So thank you as always. And may the force be with you!
Playing other MMOs you realize quick how good this legacy system is. Hard to fathom why noone else implements a decent system like this aswell. Really annoying tbh.
I really want Broadsword to advance the Legacy system in the game. Ideally it should be infinite levels and more rewards. This would add more progression for each character after reaching max level
Hey swtorista! I want to start playing again with a friend, is your 2020 playing with friends still relevant or have some things been changed (in terms of spawning together ect.) Thanks for still being here after all this time.
Great stuff. I have an entire page of armour set boxes in my Legacy bank. Do I have to open the box and wear them to get them into the Collections screen. I bet if I look, you have a Collections Academy video. ... Yep. Found it. Thanks! One of only two Patreeon's I support.
The fact that you need to cough up some more money to get the "Collections" to legacy wide/account wide is just plain gross... That's some EA/Activision sht right there Edit : And funny how she didn't tell it in the video
Building my legacy over at Shae Vizla, which I'm making as my home server. One thing that I would like to suggest, but most likely will never happen because of the massive rework it will need for the game, is for companions to be legacy as well. So for instance once you reach level 50 and finished Jedi Knight, all the companions there would be available to your characters in different classes. But of course that wouldn't happen unless Broadsword would be up to the task of making a huge overhaul of the game...
I’m would pay good money to have an unlock that would make the game more challenging. I went and made a fresh toon on a new server and have nothing and am still kicking everything’s butt.
hey, i just played some more and it just started working. i think you have to level your legacy some more. my legacy is now lvl 4 and it works. no idea if it started working at lvl 3 or something. i hope i was able to help you and yours will work too.
I just started playing this game and no joke been farming mats for 4 days to get sexy outfit for my twi'lek lighting lord. 10/10. Also farmed unstable peacemaker lightsaber for the sound.
It’s worth noting, it’s to YOUR advantage to have the same legacy name on other servers. Because when transfers happen from that server your legacies update to the most unlocked state, meaning say you are on server A with a legacy at level 10, and server B at maxed out at legacy 50 with all characters chapters unlocked. Great. So it’s time to sacrifice a character to transfer to server A. That creates a snapshot of what’s unlocked on B, and applies that snapshot to the legacy it’s been transferred to on A. For that moment both legacies are now copies of each other and become unique till another transfer happens. It’s an unwritten feature of transfers, and support insisted this is not true, but anyone that’s done it knows it’s how it works. That a legacy is not by default cross server is a bit ridiculous, but this is how to get around that for a cost 1000 Cartel coins per transfer. Be Sure you have a legacy on Both servers with the same name FIRST! No emails transfer so be sure you have collected everything before hand and don’t have pending things coming from market. NOTE: Legacy storage does NOT transfer, so only what you are holding on person transfers.
I imagine one reason for Legacy being per server and not by account is because of the credits and economy. Yeah, I know the swtor economy is not great, but imagine the chaos of people pooling credits from all their account to essentially crash the economy of a single server. I know the Warbands that WoW is introducing is basically a copy of the Legacy system, but they state it will be by account, so I'm going to watch that to see if they actually do that and the economic downfall that could potentially occur with it in that game.
@@ragingcyclone369 I don’t really make much use of it for the credits, though it does come in handy if your group moves servers as mine did. For me it was more to preserve my achievements and unlocks. I have 11 characters on 1 server and now 10 on another. I had left the game for several years and our group lost our fleet ship and resources, but we rebuilt on the new one using what we could scrape together and transferred from the other that we had. The advantage of having many unlocks already made the move and restart of the game for us much easier this time around and within a month we were running ops again after a 6 year or more hiatus from the game. It helps that we had a lot more friends playing on our current server then we had left on our old one…. Only trusted people are in our fleet this time so we don’t plan on losing our ship or name again if we slow down again. I still have one on the original server that I made as a place holder for supplies if we ever move back some day.
Yeah....this game is legit in maintenance/make-as-much-$$$-as-we-can-on-the-cash-shop-before-we-completely-shut-it-down...mode. Bioware handing it over to broadsword...despite what the purists will say...was them basically giving up on the game. It is NEVER a good sign when the main dev hands something off to a lesser dev. What does it mean? It means that bioware is off to work on bigger, better & more profitable things. While broadsword...who has little to show for itself...is basically just keeping the game a live for a while longer. All you will see is minor updates like this & focus on the cash shop. Sad but true.
