I'd argue that the Sandvich is Heavy's most iconic item, but maybe not THE most iconic item. It's an icon of the game itself, even with its own 'Meet The...' video. The Hoovy, Sandvich being "meta", the voice lines, fan animations, and so much more! I'd say the Sandman is modern day TF2's mascot because it's a perfect showcase of how opinionated the community is and how nobody can agree on anything! Obvious joke, Sandvich deserves the top spot lol

Overall, really good list, there were only 2 things I didn't fully agree with, which is one hell of an achievement for a video that lists a whopping 37 items. as a pyro main whos recently fallen in love with heavy here's the heavy debate simplified; Sasha if you suck/aren't confident in your aim/have your primary out 80% of the time, Svetlana if you dont suck/are confident in your aim/are keen on combo heavy/have your melee out more often than your minigun. case in point: I rock with the warriors' spirit and whenever someone isn't honoring the melee duel or is running away I pull out Svetlana and gun them down like the dog they are. I also rock the dolokahs bar because I like not being killed by snipers.

i think its probably the medigun, the concept of the ubercharge is pretty well known and stands out for being a unique tf2 thing

I understand how you could argue in favor of the stock rocket launcher's staying power, but i think your original plan to spotlight the market gardener was better. Theres a reason soundsmith has so many videos on other games where he tries to replicate it and theres a reason mojang basically added it to Minecraft. 8) all these choices make sense, but id also argue the gas passer is also pretty iconic due to having a certain... Reputation amongst MVM players... 6) I'd argue your focus is a bit too narrowed on demoknight (even if i think eyelander makes sense on this list). To me, the bottle is the way more obvious choice as its basically the equivalent if what jarate did to sniper. If sniper is the piss guy Demo is absolutely the drunk guy 5) yeah, every other comment has my back on this one. Sanvich has its own meet the team video 3) Yeah, no. The sandman literally embodies the the traits you mention about the FAN and stock bat closer to scout's heart than Archimedes after Meet the Medic I have also seen The Holy Mackerel brought up quite often as TF2's supposedly funniest weapon in the game. 1) ah you checky son of a- okay, but if we went ahead and counted this as a heavy weapon, we all agree the gold frying pan shows up as the all-class option, right? If I were to say one thing slightly critical, it’s that this feels like weapons most iconic within the TF2 community, instead of in general, but that’s still a really interesting question, so I don’t think that’s an issue. I'd argue that heavy's base minigun, Саша, comes close to being one of the most iconic tf2 weapons, being the primary weapon of what is essentially TF2's most iconic character and mascot. If someone out there has heard about tf2 but hasn't played it, they've almost certainly seen either the minigun or the sandvich

It is like nothing gets close to how unique it is (I mean some stuff does but it is pretty unique), you know how you said that rocketjumping was like kinda crazy stuff and because of that the rocket launcher is the most unique soldier weapon? Tho if you added it to the honorable mentions it would cause kinda problem with the other honorable mentions since if you want to do the mid-air jumps you would need the gunboats, and if you are adding it because rocket jumping you would have to add the market gardener because it is meant for that and if you add the market gardener you would need to add the rocket jumper, but you wouldn't be able to... i kiinda understand why you didn't add the beggar's now, it would make stuff kinda scuffed, but the beggar's is already scuffed so it could maybe fit as a joke

I think Engineer might be The first guy in a FPS game to have a sentry gun in that style. 1996 quake (team fortress mod) was one of the first popular fully 3d online shooting games. While I would disagree that the Sandvich is TF2's most iconic weapon, I certainly think it's an acceptable choice. However the honourable mentions I think are way off. The Spy's Knife would probably be on there because it's insta kill is notorious but i think the Dead Ringer takes the cake. I believe your list is mainly from the perspective of TF2 players which is fine but I think most non-TF2 players would think that the weapon where you pretend to die is the most iconic thing TF2 added. It's in Gmod TTT, it's in most TF2 SFM twists, Idk I think the honourables are way off but Sandvich is a good choice.

someone didnt watch solarlights recent video lol, if you think the eyelander is the best demoknight sword, put some time into the Half-Zatoichi, it honestly makes the eyelander seem weak, the reason is fairly simple, death, you wont ever (unless your stomping the other team) stay alive forever, the eyelander starts off as the worst demoknight sword, objectively the worst, and only then becomes the best with kills the Half-Zatoichi is ALWAYS amazing, the eyelander has higher highs for sure, but pitfall lows, the Half-Zatoichi is 100% of the time pretty high highs and never any lows as when using the Half-Zatoichi as demoknight it has 0 downsides

The Minigun is the most iconic weapon. 1) It's been in the game since the very beginning 2) It's the reason why Heavy is called Heavy 3) It was a main aspect of Meet the Heavy (the first Meet the Team video) 4) Heavy is usually the center of attention in the official artwork of the game, and he's pretty much always holding the Minigun But to be fair, the Sandvich has its own Meet the Team. It's a very strong contender for the second most iconic weapon.
