What is the Quant Network? My honest Review of the Quant Network and QNT Token

The reason the supply was burned was because the ico was not sold out. The ico price was 1$ per $QNT and in 2017 a project like QNT would have easily generated 45m $ which was the hard cap. But QNT launched in 2018 bear market so was only able to raise 14m $ hence remaining coins were burned

I actually like QNT, but it's absolutely maddening seeing so many QNT bulls obsessing over the low supply thinking that a lower supply will make them more money... but it won't. Supply doesn't affect ROI at all. Only market cap matters. ​Imagine you have two pizzas of equal size worth $10 each (market cap) but one is cut into 10 pieces (low supply) and the other cut into 100 pieces (high supply). If you pay 1 dollar for some of the low supply pizza, you will have one slice worth $1. If you pay 1 dollar for the pizza with the higher supply, you'll have ten slices worth 10 cents each... but either way you still have 10% of the pizza and it's still only worth $1 and any future price increases affect the value equally... most people understand this, but where people get confused is their assumption that theyi'll have the same amount of coins that they would if the supply had been different...but you wouldn't. Let's say QNT had only 7 million instead of 14 million. Would that mean you'd have twice as much money? No... Because the lower supply means the initial price during the time the bought would have been twice as high... So you'd only have half as many coins as you do now. It balances out. Let's go the other direction now. If the supply were double at 28 million, then the coins would be worth half as much, but you'd have been able to buy twice as many. Again it cancels out. As you can see, $1000 worth of QNT will increase in value at the exact same % whether it's 10 coins worth $100 each, 5 coins worth $200 each or 20 coins worth $50 each. The different ratios are all that supply decides. Not the value increase itself. This extremely prevalent misconception drives bananas.

Lockups are beginning March 15, 2022. And I think you're missing the mark with your pipe metaphor around the 44 min mark... QNT will always be available but customers are going to be buying fractional units of QNT rather than whole units. Also, why no mention of the amazing QNT partnerships like Oracle, SIA, MIT and more? Another important point that wasn't included is that Overledger connects DLNs to legacy systems. Thanks for the video, I enjoyed it!

Appreciate you putting out videos like these and helping to educate the community. With that being said, the license is paid in qnt, not priced. A licensed fee is always going to be 100$, there will be volatility in holding the token no doubt but the charge of the service never changes. You spent about 10% of this video taking about incorrect content and its effect on companies, which is its target market. A simple google search pulled up the exact specifications of this service. Well this is just one instance of an incorrect statement, it brings in to the question the reliability of the rest of the video. If you are trying to do research just go a little more in-depth next time and don’t pump Hbar ever ten second well saying your not basis. Overall good stuff though and it brings up some points I haven’t thought about myself.

I’m a sizeable Qnt holder. Good honest video but the comment on the 1 QNT token per licence is incorrect. Licences are paid in FIAT and locked in. Basic dev licence are £99 per year. Large corps licences vary. Lock in on QNT for devs only starts this year.

A few pieces of information missed. The fact a single quant has 18 decimal places and fiat is involved more then stated in this video.

27:50 QNT network is firstly and only an operating system not a decentralized ecosystem like ETH or HBAR or DAG or IOTA More like what MacOS / windows is but only providing interoperability to multinational banks. decentralized apps like Rippple’s interledger, Stellar protocol, public mint, swift etc… will be an option that banks can use on the operating system to transact. QNT is very propitiatory as they building interoperability using an actual operating system for financial institutions. I own a lot $HBAR, $XRP, $XLM, $DAG, $MINT etc….but for some reason, I am most bullish on $QNT.

Your question of what's more likely, one or two blockchains/DLTs being used for everything or hundreds of blockchains/DLTs all used for their specific use case does not take into account private permissioned, public permissionless and public permissioned, let alone legacy systems. Please give this some thought before your next video. IMO, their is no way even all government's, banks and financial institutions (Quant's primary targeted sector), let alone all other use cases, are going to use the same blockchain/DLT solution, and abstracted interoperability without adding in another consensus layer is going to be key. Quant doesn't want to dominate the world, they want to help standardized and support the next generation of financial infrastructure (i.e. ODAP and TC 307) and believe in coopetition. Also, licensing fees are priced in a fixed amount of fiat and paid with the equivalent amount of fiat or QNT, so the last 10 minutes of your video completely misses the mark.

An update to this is much needed. Your input is ridiculously underrated and intensely needed. You have all these other idiot youtubers putting becoming a “millionaire” with investing in quant all for views and not giving no organic legitimate reason why it will make you become a certain status. Its making think the other way and switching my QNT to something else. i ask myself what if these hopium fake researched youtubers are wrong. How can they be reprimanded. But they wont and they’ll continue to pocket the views from the oblivious.

I note two problems with this talk: 1) QNT is not about just interoperating with other cryptos but also legacy systems like banking. 2) Fees are in fiat value.

Thanks for bringing the concerns about QNT. I invested in both qnt and hbar, and i think it's good that you brought up the concerns. We want to know everything about the companies and leaderships for what we invested in. I appreciate your honest criticism.

You guys are giving him hell for having legitimate concerns. Its like being a die hard sports fan of a team and someone pointing out the weaknesses of your team leading to those fans going bonkers. Im a huge QNT fan and i always welcome honest criticism. Ive seen nothing but positive reviews in every channel its refreshing to listen to an analysis from the other side for once. Thank you.

The licenses can be paid in fiat, the corresponding amount is translated into Quant and locked for 12 months. The locked Quant are used to validate the transactions and not those that are in circulation. Quant is a partner with Hbar and Xrp,... Quant has no competition about its interoperability ultimately benefits everyone and allows ecosystems to grow. The overledger network is a patented operating system for blockchains. Currently the overledger network is still in the demo version, so it is understandable that the price is following the hole market.

Hbar is my main holding but Quant is slowly catching it up. Both super excite me! Top stuff as usual, Max! 👌🚀

I take your points. I can’t refute them. I think I’m going to hold no more than 50 QNT because at mass adoption it is worth around $10K per token. Having said that, I’m hedging my bets on XRP, Hbar, DAG and XDC. But it would be silly if me not to hold a small bag of QNT. But the jungle drums are beating after these concerns you raised. The price of licenses is in fiat (approx. £100). The QNT token is then used to licence the token. Your £100 buys £100 worth of QNT. Each QNT token can be broken down to 18 decimal points. Each of those decimal points is transactionary, so if you only had one QNT in circulation it can be broken down to 18 decimals.

Good start to the Quant Rabbit Hole! But Man you’ve got quite a few things wrong.. burn was due to unsold supply during ICO not because they “changed” their mind. And Enterprise licenses are paid in FIAT so clients never deal with the token directly.. and Gil is THAT good hence CSO of the year award and many seats on boards and advisory panels like INATBA etc. Hate to say it, but this vid almost seemed more like a FUD attempt than real research even though I don’t believe that was your intention. Your vids are usually well researched, this one needs another go before it’s a fair and balanced assessment.

At the 15 minute mark you’re all confused and it’s understandable. But the truth is, they never actually Monte sure entire 45 million. Launched during the crypto bear market they couldn’t sell all of them. They ended up with only like 23 million, then I. September they burned 9 million ish, all of this shows on etherscan, ending up with a total supply of 14,612,493, of which @12,000,000 are in full circulation, and the rest are with the team (@700,000 now I think) and the treasury. Those of us long term holders since the ico do appreciate you covering the qnt token and project, and we thank you very much for that, however it’s frustrating that you’ve made the token count a big mystery when in reality it’s not. Please, I implore you, do more research and you’ll see what I’ve said is completely accurate. The only mystery here is that almost all people covering it, get this sort wrong. Like you did. Which again, is somewhat understandable but not that hard to verify accurately. Thanks again for covering qnt.

Great video. Would love an update on your views in time. I am a Polkadot, Hbar man and they both offer interoperability and layer 1 solutions and more… so I don’t understand the unique value of Quant. I would’ve understood it if was a part of Polkadots ecosystem to enable interoperability or replaced Hashport for Hedera. Can’t quite realise it’s value. Apologies for messy structuring of sentences

The FUD of Quant Network is majorly resolved with dozens to hundreds of hours of research. Which is, in itself, the major issue that I see QNT has. That being said, major companies and governments have done similar research and shared so by declaring public partnerships. What does the research show? Complex, esoteric answers to questions on mass distributed ledger adoption, with proper economic incentives to increase qnt network value built by a team of ex bankers. What do these major clients mean for OverLedger? More traffic. More interoperability protocol adoption. More Overledger (or similar to overledger) network traffic. I recommend instead of fighting the flow of capital, raise your sails and throw a net. Ha, get it? "A net."

Max after what you have seen in Quant will you be investing in it?

remember one time someone commented quant is on eth and therefore can never take over eth but a dev responded saying they are on their own network and they are only on eth as an extra layer of security

Very good points you bring up about the concerns! $QNT is closed source software private company. Team isn't transparent to show roadmap & dashboard on OVN transaction. Token is barely used. You're trusting your life & money to a private company. At least a public tech comp on NASDAQ shares info by law on profit/revenue etc. But holding the token doesn't make you shareholder to see details for making wise investment decisions. In the blockchain space it's important to see transaction & transparency. $QNT currently heading to $40! Falling knife on the charts!

You're overhyping Qnt. Thanks for explaining it, but you seem to miss how existing cryptos ALREADY do what Qnt has yet to be able to do. Xrp, Cosmos, and even Algorand already connect main blockchains, have existing big name partners, and facilitate messaging. In this, it is clear fhat Qnt is already too late to an increasingly saturated market.

Love your vids and breakdowns man. with all this being said in video and the questions about the project, do you not feel it is a worthy investment?

This is good and all. But doesn't exchanges bridge this gap? As you can exchange about coin for any other coin on any exchange. What i think they want to do is actually use the different networks for multi-layered crypto. Say you want to the security of bitcoin and the speed of cosmos with the versatility of eth. I think that's their actual goal. 🤔

Oh my God!!!! I was praying you would do QUANT!!!!! Yesssssssssssssss!!!!!!

You should also know that Gilbert's real name is Gilbert Alaverdian, he has changed his surname to "Verdian" in recent times. You can see his online post he made while working at Neo Corporation in Sydney that he uses that name, look it up (I can't post link here). It also appears he was moonlighting as a hacker. Two things emerge from this, why would banks, governments, etc entrust their systems to someone with such background? It would be akin to the US Military entrusting the rollout of new security & IT systems to Julian Assange! The other obviously being why did he change his name? Well one reason might be less chance of finding this sort of stuff. Another could be that the name Alavaerdian is of Armenian origin, a country broadly aligned with Russia. Not by default "bad" but the fact he has changed his name, suggests he at least thinks so or at least bad PR, which no matter which way you look, is bad. Basically this guy is dodgy AF. He has also got is uncle Gagick Alaverdian as COO and other family members working in the organisation, suggesting could not get good devs, and just perceive it as their retrirement plan. QNT has also previously aligned itself with Constellation token, which has been identifed as a likely ponzi scheme.

The Digital Pound Foundation have chosen Quant and a few others to run the CBDC for Great Britain. Another positive there.

the thing about quant and other projects promising interoperability is that qnt is the chosing one. look up ISO 20022 Blueprint you would see Qnt and only QNT shows up.. Quite alot actually. & its working with CBDCs. And its in partnership with everyone's beloved XRP. Edit: Also it has its own QRC-20 standard. 😬

18 decimal places for one quant. This stops the whole there won't be enough quant. As the price goes up people will sell also keeps quant in circulation. They are a layer above all other crypto and the api gateway has been shown to be best way forward (MIT, Oracle) I think the fiat part has been missed out. However you can ask verdian he will answer all of this

Will you be taking certain percentage of profit once the coin makes it to a predetermined price during a bull run. Or are you a hodler for years not touching your investments what so ever and waiting until say 2030 before you take all profits out ? Half arsed attempt lacking some major details. You missed GV links with MasterCard, PayUk, Digital pound foundation and just as importantly the board and senior team he has assembled. Very little understanding of the utility of the token and how it works/interacts. First video I’ve watched of yours and probably the last, if you’re going to do some research, do it properly before ‘asking questions’

Is a company evolving, eco system, partners, projects, use cases, updates etc. Not seeing this with QNT and that's my red flag - not on this business, rather all others. Maybe add an evolution scale as part of your metrics. PS when a website does not even update the copyright page from 2021 to 2022 - hmm.

And still you keep carrying on, with inaccurate information. Geez. That isn’t how it happened. It’s just your speculation and oh by the way, you mentioned something that sounds like you’re scolding GV as if he’s running the project like a little tiny thing, yet again completely inaccurate.
