An advantage of the wolfman is that you can add wipes to make it even quieter

Thanks for the review. I have a Wolfman with a Sandman-S in jail and have been pondering which will go on my 9" 300BLK. I'll probably reserve the Wolfman for my 300BLK and CZ Scorpion and use the Sandman on my AR-15's and AR-10.

The nomad is best for .300 subs. Most factory blackout subs rounds are probably using rifle powder as well since the SilencerCo harvester stuff isn’t available. The wolfman is just incredible with 9mm, especially the federal 9mm syntech

Awesome man, again thanks for making your vids! Using Sony MDR 7506 phones I could definitely tell the Nomad L was the quietest, even though they all sounded very close except for the Sandman K. Couldn't really tell a difference with/without the E Brake. The quietest 300 BLK setup I have is a CMMG Banshee "pistol" with the full-size CGS Hyperion and adjustable gas block. It's freakin quiet. I set it up to be as quiet as possible, that was the main goal. When you're talking about the "best can", for me personally it's all about sound reduction. At this point I make setups with the goal to be as quiet as possible. That's why I'll probably never use any k stuff. Anyway, you might already know this but right now the best deal I've found for subsonic 220 grain 300 BLK is the Minuteman Munitions. It's about $1 a round. I've only shot around 200 rounds of it but it cycles and I haven't had any problems with it. I only use the new, but they also make remanufactured. I think they do for 300 BLK, I know they do for some other calibers. But I just always buy the new stuff. I'm not affiliated with them, I just thought I'd let you know because they do have stock regularly.
@CalebDowning
@CalebDowning 2 года назад
Glad you could tell the difference 👍 Ya the K can isn’t the best for sound suppression but if your just wanting to take the edge off then it’s be the one. The more I build, the more I too tend to make them for specific purposes and not just general use. I think I used some Minuteman Munitions when we were in Alabama but now that we are in Alaska that’s out of the question… we can’t easily get ammo shipped up here, unfortunately.

The longer the can.....the lower the tone. I run the sandman L.....no ebrake. And the larger the volume.....the better flash control you will have under NV. It works the same for .556 when your hunting vermin at night. Put some spray Teflon grease in that buffer tube and on the spring, but not in the action. Might just surprise you. Glad you’re enjoying the channel man. So if you’re happy with swapping your Wolfman between hosts, then I’d say hold off on getting the Nomad L. If you want a dedicated can and are ready to put down the investment, then I’d say go for the Nomad L. I do believe the Nomad L sounds better than the Wolfman on 300 BLK, but that doesn’t mean the Wolfman is a bad candidate for that cartridge. @@CalebDowning I think the Full Nelson and the SIG7.62TI are very similar. At first, I was disappointed in needing to have my barrels taper cut for those 2 cans but now I'm happy I did because the POI doesn't ever shift the slightest bit when I take the can off/on to clean the barrel. Anything that is built to also take a disposable wipe at the end is gonna work the best for .300BLK. It’s all about eliminating that first round pop and limiting the amount of gas that comes out of the fan after the round is fired. Yes, it’ll mean more gas into the chamber and your face, but if you want quiet, you’re gonna pay for it unless you’re shooting a bolt action.

Shooting a suppressor “wet” significantly reduces the sound signature. I don’t know all the science but it allows the suppressor to work better. Try it sometime if you get the chance.
