Home Alone was my favorite of the series for the longest time. Home Alone 2 has become my new favorite recently. The New York setting, Tim Curry, and pigeon lady really adds some something extra.

When you think about it, the reason they were going to a motel is because Frank, the cheap skate, went there on his honeymoon 😂 Thanks to Kevin, they ended up in a 5 star hotel for Christmas day, with a bunch of free gifts by Mr. Duncan.

Fun fact: Daniel Stern was approached to appear in HA4 as Marv. Apparently he turned it down saying “it’s a complete insult to the original.” He wasn’t wrong.

I’m also convinced that, after #3, when actors audition for the later sequels, the movies either have a working title to fake them out or at the audition stage of production, it’s not actually a Home Alone movie and it eventually gets shoehorned into one for release.

Watching the video later, but I'll drop this here for now. To me the chart is very clear: *1-Home Alone* (a certified classic) *2-Home Alone 2* (more of the same, just as good as the original but much cheaper in hindsight) *3-Home Alone 3* (a fun kids movie; it has no reason to exist, but if you HAD to do a Home Alone sequel this is the way to do it) *4-Home Alone 5* (completely useless and unfunny, I always erase it from memory 10 minutes after watching it and I keep forgetting it even exists... but at least I'm not scarred by it) *5-Home Sweet Home Alone* (a bit funnier than the previous two at parts and has nice throwbacks making it truly feel part of the same universe as the first two, but it has the most unlikable kid in the whole franchise and weirdly likable robbers, making the overall story feel completely wrong) *6-Home Alone 4* (The most painful to sit through to me, it not only is completely void of humor or any other substance, but it just craps on the whole series by recasting the main characters... and even getting the family members wrong! So maybe it's meant as a reboot... but no, because Kevin knows Marv already... it just makes no sense)

The gamer dude in Home Alone 5 is played by Bill Turnbull, Curtis from Todd and the Book of Pure Evil. If you haven't watch that tv show, you're missing something!

I always assumed they ended up in the really shitty motel was because they didn't have their credit cards on them because Kevin had them in his fanny pack, so they had to get a shitty cheap place to stay.

Remeber, when Kevins mom says she'll sell her soul to get to Kevin, The Polka King appears and just so happens to be going her way. hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Hey, I like Home Alone 3. I think it's the best one outside of the original two and just stop after that one. Don't need to watch 4 thru 6. I remember Movie Dumpster Review of Home Alone 4 and yeah, I'm good. Plus, I often think the kid, the not Kevin in HA3 will grow up to be Heath Ledger's Joker from the Dark Knight based on his traps in the film. You know his "do you know how I got these scars" origin stories.

I just want a Home Alone movie where Macaulay Culkin comes back as an adult. He plans to go on vacation with his wife, kids, and mom, but then he sees that the Sticky Bandits played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern have escaped prison on the news. So instead of going on the holidays with his family he decides himself to stay behind because he knows Harry and Marv will come looking for him - he says he will be busy with work and will sadly have to miss the vacation. Kevin has been preparing this for years- his house is a death trap basically. And he ends up killing Marv and Harry through the hilarity. His family comes back from the vacation asking how work was and he says it was pretty great!

The newest one was the worst. It was hyped like crazy and it had zero redeeming qualities. At least you know 4 and 5 were just shitty b movies so the expectation is almost nothing. But that new one was just miserably bad

To me, Home Sweet Home Alone is the worst even though it has a few good things here and there not just because it's made with a higher budget, but is trying so hard to both recapture the original and BE original while doing so and fails badly at both. Home Alone 2 because it does sequel escalation really well gets a pass, Home Alone 3 because it was also in theaters and really wasn't that bad kind of gets a pass, Home Alone 4 and Home Alone 5 each being TV movies-even with the fourth one being a weird continuation-meet the standard of dumb without going too too far (I was never angry) and the first Home Alone bar none is widely considered the best for a reason. Home Sweet Home Alone fails at its unrealistic ambition of trying to restore the series and ends up insulting as a result.

Real quick: The thing about Daniel Stern and the scream in Home Alone is a misconception. He said the scream was real and authentic. He was able to do it on the spot because tarantulas don't have ears.

Yeah the average lifespan of domestic rats is about 2 years but if you get one that doesn't have any health issues then can live to like 4 but because they were poorly breed to be domestic because they are originally meant to be snake food they are prone to many life threatening genetic problems but they are usually nicer then hamsters

I was 6 or 7 when I saw HA1 in theaters, but I can't remember any specifics about that experience. One specific memory I do remember from seeing HA2, and that's my dad & I laughing till it hurt when Marv gets hit w/the bricks, followed by the electrocution ⚡💀 Wow, I never knew there was a 5th & 6th home alone. I'd also never seen any of 3-6 by choice until this review. So thanks for that😑 Jess, I think you're the only one who can and has pulled off a home alone remake 😲

Home Alone: Alone for the Holidays A now adult Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) lives a modest life alone working from home making security systems. Estranged from his mother, a lack of a social life and PTSD from childhood trauma and even having a Stockholm syndrome relationship with Harry and Marv the holidays are never easy. With all of his neighbors in the cal de sa gone for the holidays and nowhere to go himself he overhears a plot to rob the houses on his surveillance set up. Kevin with nothing better to do decides to booby trap the neighborhood and be the town hero.

The first two Home Alone's are the only good ones...third is a mixed bag. The rest afterwards suck. Also I remember asking for a Talk Boy for Christmas a year after Home Alone 2 came out and I unfortunately didn't get one, though instead I got a neon red and blue Yak Back toy and a couple of action figures instead.

Glad to say that I’ve never seen any of the Home Alone movies after the first two. I remember when the 3rd one was coming out and the kid was interviewed on Entertainment Tonight or Access Hollywood and he was waxing philosophically about how his portrayal of the character was different than Mac’s….it’s like “Kid, you’re a kid…stop talking like you’ve been in the business for 30yrs and go play outside and eat dirt or something.” Anyway, yeah, from the clips I’ve seen from all the sequels after 2, they all look like awful direct to video slob of the lowest caliber.

I will say till I was 20+ I didn't realize the movie was a fake movie Lol I legitimately looked it up in my mid 20s to see what it was about 🤣🤣🤣

The 2nd film is the best of the series and easily the better Christmas film than the 1st.

Technically, the second one is a good movie. Everything is done well, and it tells a good story. The problem is that it is a beat-for-beat - often, note for note - shameless rehash cash-in on the first one, even repeating the "Angels with Filthy Souls" gag and "old scary stranger turns out to be hero and friend" subplot without a modicum of a twist. It's essentially a remake. And in this case, familiarity definitely breeds contempt, thus I have to rate it very low. NO way is it better than the first. It's only better than all the following sequels, which isn't saying much at all.

Home Alone Black Kids is basically every weekend in the hood 😂
