iPhone 3G for sure. iPhone OS 2 was almost unusable on launch and the back plastic often suffered from cracking. As someone that worked at Apple for a few years starting in 2008, the iPhone 3G was frustrating to give tech support for because even fresh OS installs were slow. In rare instances where the customer’s phone had enough problems that we were given the pass to provide them with a 3GS replacement, I was always so happy for the customer.

When it comes to the 5C, you have to keep in mind that this was when smartphones were becoming extremely desirable and mainstream for younger people, and at the time, iPhones were pretty expensive. The 5C was an entrypoint into the Apple ecosystem, for a substantially lower price than their other phones at the time. It was a good move, and being made of plastic, while not feeling as good in the hand, you must admit is more durable in the hands of a 10-15 year old who had just gotten their first phone. I have always been an Android guy, but a majority of the people I knew at the time that got an iPhone, got a 5C because of it's price, and of course, being on their parents cellular plan.

I'm using a 5SE (2016) right now and it's still a great phone to me. Yes, since this video there have been new iPhones come out, but I have no logical reason to move up. I like the size (compared to larger phones I've owned) and it is still updating. I figure I'll get at least another year or two out of it before I "need" something better.

As of October 2020, I'm still using my iPhone 5C for Internet-only home Wifi, when my iPhone 7 Plus is charging. Amazingly I retained the original packaging too

The iPhone 6s and the iPhone 8 both had absolutely horrendous battery life. Everyone that I’ve spoke to have all said the 2 phones constantly suffered with crashing and poor battery life. I even had to take my brand new iPhone 8 back to the store as 3 days after purchasing it crashed and wouldn’t turn off or do anything. Even the next day it was still stuck on the same screen.

I’m on an XR as of now, upgraded from a 6s+. My first iPhone was the iPhone 5. The iPhone 5 for me was the best one I had. At least back then. It was so sleek and usable. I stopped using it when I was permanently locked out. My passcode stopped working. And it got to the point it was FOREVER locked. Still is. If I can EVER get it working again? I’ll probably use it as a backup.

It's weird you mentioned the iPhone 4S got updated into obsolescence, but not the iPhone 4. I remember my buddy having one of those running iOS7 and it was HORRIBLE to use

You can't judge a phone based off its OS like the old IOS devices. The 4s is a great device, apple slowing it down has nothing to do with the actual phone.

Here’s my iPhone journey! First one: i 4S in mid 2014 (the basic 8GB one), and until current, i 6S+ in Oct 2015 and still serving me well. Who knows, one day an i 12PrMx might be on the cards, but that might take time (or another waiting game as we’ve gotten used to), or by the luck of the saving strategy during the lockdown.

You forgot the camera problems on the 6 I had 5 iPhone 6plus because they kept getting replaced I got touch disease 4 times and one time my camera lenses fell off when the camera was tweaking out

What about 6s force touch?? Improved camera for 7? Wireless charging for 8?

I have an IPhone 5C somewhere. Rn it has a bad battery. I should dig it out and put a battery in it.

I’ve always sold every iPhone I’ve ever had as I like to sell before they depreciate and put that money towards an upgrade ACCEPT for the 5S, I loved it so much I kept it even when I continued to upgrade because it’s the only model that’s never given me any issues! So I keep it as a backup.

I've had my iPhone 6 since 2014 and haven't had a single issue with it. Feels unecessary to upgrade when Im not having any issues with it.

When I was using my iPhone 6 I had a lot of wifi problems with it on my iPhone 6 the wifi would only work when I was sitting right next to my router whereas my older iPhones and my iPhone 8 the wifi works from any room in my apartment whereas if I went even a couple of feet away from my router the wifi on my iPhone 6 would cut out but none of my other iPhones had that problem the wifi works pretty well on my iPhone 4 and 4s and my 8 but not so on my 6

The iPhone 4S is slow on iOS 9 but that does not make it one of the worst iPhones! The 4s is Apple's first dual core processor phone, it introduced Siri, it fixed the problems of the iPhone 4, it is not one of the worst iPhones!

The 5c was my first iPhone, and it was good for a year but I was later given the 5s and I had that iPhone till the 7 came out and upgraded to the 7 plus! And then I upgraded to the XS Max Pro and recently upgraded to the 12 Pro Max!

Can I ask what was wrong with the 5c? It was almost identical to the 5 which was your supposed favourite iPhone, but aimed at a more budget market. Not sure what your hate for it is.

I like the 4s on iOS 9. So what if the 4s had laggy software? All phones slow down or lag at some point.

The 7 was a really bad incremental "upgrade" that ended up removing features that didn't compensate the slightly better features. To me, it was the worst bc it proved how greedy Apple is.
