A girl in school started saying she had cancer and kept changing the type. It wasn’t until she said she had prostrate cancer that I started laughing and asking if she was transgender. She took offense to the transgender thing and I told her that in order to have prostrate cancer, she had to have a prostrate, which only boys have. She was caught in her lie and she knew it. A part of why she did it was because I was fighting round 2 of stomach cancer and was getting more attention for it from my teachers. Thing is, she didn’t realize I was working twice as hard to be able to graduate on time because I was missing so much school do to chemo treatments. Chemo sucks, majorly. It ain’t the glorified crap shown on TV. You get a port installed surgically, have to report to the hospital every three days, eat just so you have something to throw up because it’s easier on your stomach, accidentally inhale your vomit and give yourself vomit induced pneumonia, earning yourself nearly two months in the hospital where you somehow manage to recover, continue chemo, cancer gets worse so your oncologist decides to basically carpet bomb your body with both radiation and chemo, accidentally inhale your vomit a second time, this time earning yourself eight months with three of those months spent in a medically induced coma, wake up and learn cancer treatment has been stopped, get it restarted, and finally shock the socks clean off your oncologist by defeating the cancer. I was told I had six months left when first diagnosed. I looked at the doctor and told him I intend to fight like hell, and that I refuse to let a ball of cells stuck in rapid mitosis take me out, and I want the big guns thrown at me. Next there’s recovering from the treatments. You still go through bouts of vomiting, lethargy, and all you want to do is sleep. It’s not fun. I’ve faced three rounds with stomach cancer, and a round with skin cancer.

Lesson from the first one, get a dash cam! They’re relatively cheap now, can save you ass and could even lower your insurance.

That first one is a common scam. Someone stops, then throws it in reverse and hits the car behind them, then claims they were rear-ended. Then they ask for a lot of money because when it comes to rear-ending accidents, it's always the driver following who is at fault, and it will look like they got rear-ended.

I have one! Back when I was in college I had a friend well now ex friend. We were planning on going to the local anime convention after classes. It was super small and we were talking about it for ages. However she had hep C and she had a flare up. It was so bad that her skin was yellowing from jaundice. She decided that she wasn't going to tell me until I pressed why was she not looking so well. I told her that she should stay home because she is highly contagious during this period and she could make everyone around her potentially sick. I even offered to take notes in her other classes so she can stay home. She refused. So I told her my parents were coming down that weekend and I would not be able to go to the convention. She was the only one of us who could drive and I have enough medical problem without adding hepatitis C to the mix. I ended up going with someone else thankfully. I explained the situation to them and they completely understood. Facebook postings about how it hurts that people are so mean and manipulative and things like that. And I'm like bitch you have and hepatitis C flare up and you can get every single person around you sick. We remained friends for a little while after that before I ghosted her because I figured if she is sick and willing to pass off her germs without letting anyone know then she's not worried about anyone but herself

My grandmother on Facebook once acted like she gave her children amazing upbringings 😑 Uncle calls her out. (She had lost custody of all her children, and my mom, uncle and aunt were all adopted into other families.) Grandmother goes to my mom for support. Mom sides with Uncle. Grandmother hasn't spoken to my mom or uncle in years, telling people that they've turned their backs on the family.

My uncle stormed into my room looking for a Cord he needed without my consent. I got scared, so I called the cops. My other uncle came over later & chewed me out for what I "did wrong." It was later that day when I admitted to a friend that I was suicidal, and had myself committed when I went to my doctor's office for an appointment. Nothing ever happened, but had a girl i worked with who refused to follow safe food handeling procedure with nuts, because 'if someone is allergic and dies, it's their own fault, they should know better than to eat out'. She applied the same logic to things like covid (if they get sick, it's because they didn't wash their hands enough, not because she ignored quarintene when a friend she hung out with tested positive), drunk driving (if she hit someone while drunk driving, it was their fault for not moving fast enough) and a slew of other safety regulations at work. She was 17. I hope she either grew up, or died before she racked up a body count

I’ve met a few professional victims and was emotionally abused by one for years. A lot of bad things can happen to a person that are someone else’s fault, but I’ve no time for those who make a living out of being a victim.

My mom is super manipulative and narcissistic. My entire life she has played the victim and blamed other people for her problems. Like for example if our car broke down she would say the universe was out to get her but in reality she was neglecting to take care of the car. That was just everyday stuff for me. Like, girl please, why didn't you ask your other daughter who has a bigger home, with a garage before dumping all your crap here onto us when we're trying to sort our own lives out before welcoming your grandchild? The reason I pretend I'm the victim is because I have a degradation kink and I absolutely hate it. Oh, good god, I actually am diagnosed and treated for Depression and Anxiety and I have a great job and always take another when it's offered (I'm a writer, you go from job to job). "I'm too depressed" means having it confirmed and working to overcome it, which is damn hard, actually very hard, it's not an excuse to escape from life. Yes, you have to push yourself to accomplish things you don't want to do, some days you truly can't, but put your support system in place and find the person you once were. It can be done.

My brother homeboy didn't came to school that day, but the next day when he did, they told him what happened, and when they told him it all made sense to him and that is when his homie told them what happened. His cousins and family members that lives all the way in st paul, that wasn't involve in that street life got jumped and attacked by a group of random black people that was yelling racial slurs at them. Moms, dads, grandma, grandpa, little kids, babies, teenagers all got attacked just for being asian. Yes these dudes drove all the way from north minneapolis to st paul just do some racist sh*t. So his homeboy went to confront them and they started pulling the race card saying "Its cause we black? You wanna fight us cause we black"? They got into a fight, after that happened bloods, crips, gd's, vice lords, black stones, most of the black gangs started shooting at any asian people they see.

I had a player in a DND campaign who was just not being a team player, and was unabashedly straight up trying to hijack the game in a very self serving way while everyone else was practically screaming at him to stop. We gave him Warning after warning that what he was doing was not ok. He gave him suggestion after suggestion of how he could try to become more into the game without Hi-Jacking it. We gave him second chance upon third chance upon Fourth Chance to change. And then finally we kicked him out. He then sent a 9 page rant in which he blamed everyone but himself for the fact that he was kicked and made it clear that he legitimately felt entitled to the ENTIRE GAME revolving around HIM. This description makes him sound like more of a douche than he actually is because if you have actually met the guy, you would know that you have to understand that everything that he does he does within a disability that for him causes him to see the world through extremely self-centered Blinders. It is not that he does not care about the feelings of others, or that he does not want to do things that others would like, it is that he is straight up just unable to see beyond his own interests, and this makes him feel entitled to his own interests being realized because to him they are totally reasonable and the best thing on the planet.
