The way he dribble (wonderful body balance) and make a lot of goals. P.S. I still waiting for "Every Thierry Henry Premier League Goal " video clip ,please .
He made me fall in love with football. Both watching and playing. Aside from all the amazing goals, assists and memorable moments, he was just fucking cool to watch. Smooth, fast as hell, intelligent, strong and super technical. Best ever PL player without a single shred of doubt.
Whether you're an Arsenal fan or not, there's simply no denying how out of this world Thierry was during his time in the Premier League; truly one of the all time greats.
Greatest ever Premier League player, undoubtedly and indisputable fact. Coming from a Chelsea fan since 1995. That goal against Man Utd is also the greatest ever Premier League goal, and it was no fluke because he tried the same against Juventus and left Buffon standing, the ball was probably 1 yard from dropping down into the top corner. The fact that he chose the Liverpool one and the REASON behind it, shows what a team player he was as well!
Most of us fell in love with football because of a player, not a team-and for many, that player was Thierry Henry. You never hear anyone debating his skills or qualities. Henry will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the greatest to ever play the game.
Defo mate best moment tho was when he handed over a French award to cristiano Ronaldo who won more prem league and out scored his entire career after turning 30 Truely special!
@@ACReji I had a friend who was exactly like u, Torres was his hero and he was Liverpool through and through. And I was like that with Thierry - he was and still is my hero and my favorite player ever, made me fall in love with The Arsenal and football as a whole. And we used to play football every day. Great times.
I have a canvas of that celebration against spurs. When I need a pickup I look at the spurs fans in different stages of grief and anger, every time I look I see something new that makes me smile. Legend!
Man, I made all my teammates angry for years by trying to copy that goal whenever I got the chance. For me that goal is the essence of Henry's style - at least the image I had of him as a German teenager with very limited access to Premier League videos.
Nowadays you get caught up in the modern hype strikers but when you watch this man back he is the definition of WORLD CLASS. Put a massive smile on my face and reminded me that Henry will always be KING ❤
The Tottenham goal is probably the best, most elegant goal I’ve ever seen. The adjustment of the feet and the curl to take the shot away. I was stood in front of my TV shocked. What a player.
7:53 - whilst this goal is iconic, imo his best PL goal against Man City came in Arsenal's 5-1 away win at Maine Road in 2003. Henry controlled a long diagonal ball played to him on the edge of the penalty area with his right foot and instantly shot with his left foot across goal into the bottom corner past Weaver. Criminally underrated imo.
Just checked it out, brilliant goal and worth a mention. Still think there are others that are better but you can see from his reaction to the goal it was incredible
Nice one for shouting this one out man, nobody ever talks about it. He's got a lob from a pre-season game against a German team, Bremen maybe? Where he chips the keeper on the volley, never seen him do anything like it elsewhere.
The best premier league striker I have seen ..... No one comes close today in comparison to his moves, change of pace and that finishing where he places the ball perfectly at the furthest end of the post. Class of a player.
Backheel goal against Charlton? My favourite one I saw in person though was a CL match. Against Real Mallorca. We needed to win by 2 clear goals to go through. 93rd minute, van bronckhorst takes a quick free kick from our penalty area and Henry receives it, takes on the defence and slots it home. 3-1 with time up. Magic!!
The comparisons don’t matter. There are certain players of all eras that were a joy to watch, unique. As long as you love the game their footage and impact will ring bells forever. Titi was one of them.
"Something what's very important for me, is being able make people understand that a striker should do more than score goals...was very important for me..." Henry said this in relation to his assists, but he was more than goals and assists...the guy destroyed teams. He moved like Hazard but faster... He was more efficient in front of goal than Kane... He could occupy defenders like Drogba... He made the #14 shirt cool (I feel sick that Walcott and Nketiah ever got to wear it and I'm not an Arsenal fan).
@@oa149 yes. What i meant is he said himself in the interview and he regret have done that. He would want Arsenal to challenge city for the title. Class lad
My first ever game at Highbury was that game against Liverpool and I’ll never forget it. Can’t believe I was able to witness the greatest Henry PL goal of all time.
I'm 28 years old, my first season remembering Arsenal games was the Invincible's season. I feel like I've only just realised THAT iconic solo goal vs Spurs WASN'T that season. I had to check!
For me his hatrick against Leeds and Liverpool in 2004 in 2 weeks apart will always be iconic especially the one against Liverpool coz we were behind and under pressure after losing to Chelsea Wayne Bridge last minute goal, and Liverpool scored 1st and went half time leading 2-1 had he not scored that solo goal we wouldn't have won that gane and the Premier league that goal was a turning point for us
@@GennySavastone What makes it so special is the pass from Gilberto and the blade runner takes the ball and ru through whole Leeds defense who gave him space
Man U fan here. So much respect for this guy. HATED watching him at the time, but mesmerised (to use a Neville quote)... favourite phrase "sit down" when he pushed that Tottenham player back hahaha so good
For me it’s the Tottenham goal. Pace, power, skill & precision. The goal had everything. Plus the celebration and the fact it was against them made it that much better.
Legend ❤, i still can't understand how on earth he scored that goal against Fabian bartez, as a man utd fan I was devastated but the impact of that goal i still carrying that even after more than 20 years.. ⚽❤️
We can never get another Thierry Henry. Dedicated, Committed, Hardworking, Skillfull etc. We don’t have players who dribbles like him nowadays and we can’t see anyone who has plays not just with his foot, but with also his brains. Very seldom getting injured because he makes opponents do the tackle to win the ball from them. Fantastic man!!! Arsenal!!! Get a man like that for your team!!!
I feel bad for the younger generation who are restricted to watching this man’s talents on just highlights and short clips. He had absolutely everything. If he enjoyed heading he would’ve added another 50 or more goals to his tally. Best ever to play in the premier league 🎉
For someone that looked so smug and casual on the pitch, he is probably the most humble footballer of his ability. Never gloats and always keeps it real.
