The wooden sheath on the corkscrew should fit through the loop as a T handle ;)

The "clogs" are sabots. Clogs have wooden soles and leather uppers. People living in the North of England wore them regularly. Enjoying the content, thanks.

@@barneysdad6800 why, when I am being wrong am I always doing it at the top of my voice. Of course sabots are French. Dutch or French they still look hard to wear! Are they made for particular people or are they just made in a range of sizes like retail shoes?

Does "lagger" refer to the profession/trade of insulating pipes, especially in an industrial manufacturing setting? Not a term I'm familiar with but that's where my internet search looked like it was saying.

I have a cast aluminium (I think) citrus juicer that my mother had from her trousseau. She was married in 1947. It could use new feet but is otherwise the best, most efficient orange or lemon juicer ever. Still used, and I’ve seen modern copies that I bet won’t be lasting over 75 years. I also found a very smooth rock in her sewing basket, which seems shaped to fit very nicely into my hand. She’s never been known to darn anything, so maybe not for that. I asked my brother, dear lad, who looked at it from several angles and announced “it’s a rock”. I knew I shouldn’t have asked🤦‍♀️

How much force would you need to punch through a can top?
@jeffreyyoung4104
@jeffreyyoung4104 8 дней назад
@@dk9619It depends on the point of initial contact. If you have a nice point that looks like a knife point, it would be easier to start the hole, than if it were a flat blade with no point. While a narrow flat blade will pierce the lid, a broad blade would require more force. If you notice the different pictures of the openers, the one with the narrow gap which was designed to leave a narrow lip to retain the lid, it still has points on both sides, but the modified opener with the broad gap, does not have the points, and would possible not open a can at all.

Because it intrigues them enough that they want to find out more. Curiosity is a fairly strong motivator sometimes. It’s also maybe a bit like buying a piece of art - it may have no practical function, but you like how it looks.

Don't any RU-vidrs know how to use spell check, a dictionary, or you know, just PAY ATTENTION to what you are doing. It seems like 99% of RU-vidrs are all just in a stupid hurry to get their cruddy videos online as fast as possible, with the minimum amount of effort, and make that sweet, sweet advertising money.

True. in my case, I use an iPad which has some sort of self correcting in it. Sometimes the self correcting brings up the wrong word and then when you try to fix it, it keeps bringing up the same word or something that is not correct. also, I find it hard to put the line for the delete, right where it needs to go finally, I give up and just post it

"It's", not "Its". The contraction for "it is" is "It's", but you spelled it as the possessive form, which is incorrect. I know some British people use "spelt" instead of "spelled", but in American English that is not accepted as the past tense of "spell", because "spelt" is a type of wheat. Perhaps you should worry about your own grammar and spelling. Most of us enjoy this channel. If you don't, then move along because we don't need your snotty attitude here.
