I’ve been having issues with sudden urge and urinary incontinence, Would you suggest taking my concerns straight to my urologist, or seeing my physician first?
Generally, it's always best to see your GP first as they will be able to refer you to the right specialist and request any necessary diagnostic tests too.
What did your GP say? I have had urge incontinence for a number of months now without any issues in previous adult years, I am also pretty young. My GP said it's just weak pelvic muscles or just psychological, which I don't really buy into and just seems like a lazy dismissal to me. I have such sudden urges and on numerous occasions have wet my entire pants before making it to the toilet. I have to plan my day to ensure I can get to toilet quickly if I have anything to drink in hours before.

@@rajkumar-ms4ub Hey I understand feeling ashamed, but it's a medical issue and not your fault. My doctor screened me for diabetes via a blood test, I haven't got diabetes, but it's worth checking via a blood test. Obviously if this problem has literally just started and you also pee blood, then it could be a urine infection but if it's chronic and mainly urge incontinence, not constant leakage and blood, then it's probably not a urine infection. There are other neurological and spinal causes too. There are things in the urinary tract that can cause it too, so getting an ultrasound at some point might be worth it. However, I know a lot of doctors are dismissive and don't really want to do anything!
@@BrianMillsSkills I have visited multiple doctors and tried their medicine as I get these symptoms which you all are facing. It's good till the medicine is being taken post that it rebounds

I am a Male and my Dr just prescribed me some oxybutynin for overactive bladder. My concern is that my work and school requires me to be mentally sharp to solve technical problems. Will oxybutynin make me too drowsy to be able to mentally focus on work and school ?

You might have a urinary tract infection or bladder infection or even a kidney infection which the latter is nothing to mess with can be very damaging go to the doctor get an antibiotic and it'll clear it up
