Sight loss can affect people of any age but the likelihood increases as you get older: One in five people over 70 are living with sight loss.
Sight is the sense people fear losing the most. Some people will lose their sight slowly while for others it can be sudden. Whatever the situation, help, support and advice are at hand.

This video is the first part of a three part training package investigating the issues surrounding sight loss and vision impairment. In this first production the following issues are investigated;
Definitions of vision impairment, the effects of different types of vision impairment, how individuals respond to visual impairment, the difficulties in recognising those with sight loss, advice to medical staff when working with the visually impaired, adapting to and overcoming vision impairment.
