I’m 12 in 7th grade I’m taking notes on your video and I have so many and I always wanted to be a zoologist so I though learning more about a wildlife biologist it could help me understand more of what a zoologist and it did! So thank you!!!
Ive been watching hours of videos to know my destiny, this isi by far the most informative video ive seen. So much so, I think I will become one. Thank you for changing peoples lives with one video
Appreciate the video. What exactly are the different aspects of wildlife biology that you referenced? I am thinking of starting my schooling for this field in January and am not very familiar with it, but I know that I want to work with the environment and the conservation and study of endangered species.
I️t has been my dream to become a wildlife biologist for a few years now! I’m in the 11th grade and plan on going into I️t. Do you have any updates on your life in wildlife biology?
This is my dream as well. This is my first year of college and i am just trying to figure out exactly what it is in this feild i should go after because it's like, i feel like its not exactly what i'm thinking it is. I want to be the one who knows their animal behavior from the nose to the tail and could get themselves out of any situation with simple respect, love, patience, distance, and trust. I want to be like Steve Irwin (the Steve Irwin on, as well as behind the scenes). I want to get up close and personal with nature and animals. I want to eventually create a platform and reach out to the world raising awareness, bringing animals into peoples hearts and be the voice for the voiceless. These videos can sometimes be misleading as they leave out other considerations. I hope i'm not going to be going in, doing nothing but writing and sitting in an office or sitting beside someone in the feild where im limited by extreme policy and never getting to get those rewarding opportunities and especially for growth. Like will i be able to get up close with gorillas in the wild? Will i be able to specialize in rhinos or elephants? Will i eventually be able to join or start my own sanctuary?
I'm pretty intrested in wildlife biology, but I don't know how much education is needed. I've heard some people say just a bachelor's degree, but others say you need a PhD. If anyone knows, please tell me, thanks!
UZ-Kentuckygirl I'm a high school senior and I'm thinking of being a wildlife biologist because I really love animals so can you tell me is it worth it ?
I graduated in 2003 with a BS in Wildlife Biology. I also love animals. It is difficult to find a full-time job because the Government loves to hire apprentices. An apprenticeship is a temporary 6 month to a year job. I know some people have been apprentices for 10 years or longer making less than 20.00 a day. As a Wildlife Biologist, you need to be prepared to do apprenticeships and obtain a master's degree. I recommend doing some research looking at jobs listed on www.usajobs.gov. Look at Non Profit Organization that hire Wildlife Biologist. Look at Conservation Officer it requires a 22-week police training, Environmental Education Interpretation, so on. Good luck! If you have enough money and time you may look ar being a Vet. My son recommends going into the military and using the GI Bill for your education. The military allows you to get hands-on experience on the job while getting paid for it. They have l property on the Military basis that they set aside for hunting and may offer Wildlife. They need veterinarians. Good Luck and I hope this information helps you.
