"Hermitcraft _needs_ Skizzleman, he's so different from the Hermits, he could add so much to the server that others can't!" -Me, during HC Season 9 Finding out you were in season 10 was just such an amazing feeling!
I was cough/laughing so hard during the bit where Skizz had dumped all the stuff on the floor and blamed Gem for it! Impulse picking up on the bit and playing along was even funnier. The amount of tone you could hear in Gem's silence was butter!
I had to have an ACL reconstruction at 16 and had two subsequent surgeries on the same knee at 17 and 29. It’s something that alters your life in a way that you don’t realize until you look back on it. It’s a rough journey to recovery but with my parent’s support at every step I got through it. Wishing all the best for her surgery and recovery.
I had ACL & meniscus surgery at 19 because of a soccer injury. I am now 26 and still get random sharp pains (the pain and discomfort is likely meniscus), and I can’t fully bend my knee. That one is definitely because of my ACL. I’ll always have a weak hamstring because we chose to do a hamstring graft, which I am very glad that I did. My surgeon was great and my recovery was pretty good too, but to this day I am still terrified of getting on a trampoline. I’m so cautious of my movements because i know how easy a re-tear could happen
Checking in with pretty much the same thing. I still can't cross my leg over my other and have had knee issues since, and I had to hang up sports after that. Though, I also had to wait almost 2 years for my surgery, hoping getting it done fast makes all the difference for her.
At 1:51:40 was someone asking about losing their eyesight. Not sure if they're reading the comment's section, but wanted to add this: I'm married to someone who is losing their eyesight in adulthood. My advice is that there are resources out there to help people in that situation. Entire groups are out there to teach the young and old how to adjust. Find those resources and make use of them. Sign up for classes, such as on how to use a cane (even if you never really use it). You'll not only gain valuable skills, but potentially form relationships with teachers or other students that will help you along. Just be patient with the people working in these areas as they often have too much work for the staff, but they're usually doing their best. Not sure if that's helpful, but I hope it is.
Congratulations on becoming a full time content creator, you deserve the best there is to come!! Best wishes to your daughter for a smooth recovery. These things take time, and it won't be painless but with your backing I'm sure she's going to come back strong.
I made a personal playlist of Imp and Skizz playing both Among Us and Phasmophobia and can go back and pick a spot and let it run all day. I am 100% entertained for ages because they always keep me amused no matter how many times I've seen them. 😊😊 ❤😊❤😊
2:26:04 I’ve been out of state in Minnesota in towns where flooding in 2012 absolutely demolished any chance of using a lot of the buildings. The old Victorian public school was hit hard with the only place you could be is on the roof to avoid the flood. The school was closed because of so many problems that come with the building being submerged but not torn down. So we went up to the windows and were looking in at the spray painted walls and papers left on desks with bashed in windows covered over by plywood. One of the windows were completely missing and you could smell the mold as you walked up to it. Obviously not allowed in the building so we didn’t enter it but we did peek through the window to see a fresh water bottle slightly crumpled and a clean sweater on the ground leading towards the open trapdoor to the basement. We promptly booked it outta there! Also told by our uncle at dinner after that he sees folks jumping in and outta there each morning! So great to hear and not absolutely terrifying
And it’s funny because my brother has zero sense of self preservation and wanted to stay longer DESPITE THE OBVIOUS FACT of there being people living in it/
Didn't have ACL but i had an exploded meniscus in one knee and a ligament twist in the other + the same thing just in so many pieces that i still have shards. I was 14. From experience, be there for the kiddo. My family was and it was EXTREMELY important for the recovery path. I cannot stress just how important having my uncle and brother around. Especially my brother. Family in these kinds of moments is like +50 heal. Trust me on it. Sending positive vibes, hoping everything pulls ok for the kiddo.
I love the little Skizz-isms. 2:18:39 that brief, impulsive thought of ".. you can't squat down like that, man" 😂 2:26:19 "there's a bat cave?" "well, no.."
I just had my ACL reconstruction surgery and a second "clean up" surgery. I was way more worried about the clean up (spent a lot of brain cycles debating whether it was the right call), but in the end it made everything better and the recovery went much smoother afterwards. Hoping it's the same for your daughter. Wishing her the best of luck in recovery! ❤
I'm so excited for you to be officially full time! I'm so incredibly proud of all the work we know of that you put into this job; you are such a wonderful inspiration to many people, including this Wisconsinite!! ❤ P.S. sending prayers for your daughter's ACL recovery 🙏
Big congrats on going full time! I've been watching you and Impulse for a few years, going thru all your playlists. I've seen all the old phasmo and among us streams, about half of the naked and scared series, and most of the skyblock ones. Also love the podcast, been watching since the first episode. You both have been my favorite content creators and have bought me a lot of comfort while going thru chronic illness and depression. I was so happy when you joined hermitcraft. You're both such genuinely nice and funny people. I wish you the best going forward and good luck to your daughter during her surgery!
Bit late with this, so you probably won't see it, but the little bell? As someone who has worked at an understaffed retail place, if it's there, please use it! Don't hammer on it repeatedly or anything, but give it one good ding and THEN wait before doing it again. Having a bell (ours went automatically when the door opened, and another at the counter would have been nice) allows the worker to do things in the back room or a back corner of the store and not have to constantly stop and go check if they need to help someone.
Solution of the Autoload Issue: Skizz is Loading the Van and the Autoload only triggers when skizz is going out of the money reward screen. as long as he look at the money rain the game wont autoload. only after he get out off the screen.
I think the demon @2:30:00 just had line of sight on you for such a long time in that hallway that it really got cooking, and maintained that speed when the others were listening to it.
So excited! This will be the first GIGS phasmo vod I'll be watching since I bought phasmo a few days ago, I've been playing by myself, I'm a bit of a pro already because of all your guys's stream vods I've been watching.
I feel seen when I look at Skizz’s hair and it reflects the 110+ degrees it was today, in Phoenix. I’m in Tucson, fanning myself like, “Boy-Howdy! 100 degree high!” Meanwhile it’s 80 degrees at 10 PM in Tucson and 94 in Phoenix, at the same time. 😅
I'm glad you're getting the chance to go full-time content creator, to devote more time to something you enjoy. I hope your daughter's surgery goes well, and everything heals well after.
1:51:43 I'll be praying for you man, also you'll get through this, i don't know you but i know you're strong, P.S if you lose your eyesight you can still listen to the imp and skizz podcast just fine ;). I wish good things for your future, also Andrea bocelli was blind and still one of my favorite oprea singers ever.
Hey Skizz, when you're hiding in a closet or locker and the ghost opens the door, CLOSE IT! 😂 You often just leave the door open which allows the ghost to kill you. If you're fast enough with closing the door again, the ghost will just go away. Hope this helps keep you alive more! 😊
Isn't that what Gem did to fend off a deogen in the last stream? I didn't realize that would work on deos, even though I've seen members of this group do it when other ghosts try to open the closets. It's also pretty funny how a ghost can tell the difference between a person hiding with a flashlight on and a flashlight on the floor that just got left on...but if they open a closet and the door immediately shuts again, they're like "huh, the door must have closed on its own. Nothing strange there."
I just did this weekly challenge (by myself), it was my first time in that map, and I tried using the haunted mirror to locate the ghost, but since I don't know the map very well (only from videos) it didn't really help, but I did manage to find the ghost rooms with the thermy and then it was kinda easy to find all the evidence. It's a lot of walking back and forth though, but it was worth it, leveled up twice (37 to 39) from the 5k. Edit: I had a hantu and a shade and I don't remember the first one
The first time I saw skizz's name, my dislexia brain thought it was "the squeezed lemon" and I couldn't understand why everybody was calling him skizz 😂 Also, I don't know if anyone helped you yet, but you can remove the tutorial that appears when you open the shop by clicking the arrow foward on the tutorial page (instead of clicking on the x to close it). Keep going til the tutorial is over. And congrats on becoming a full time creator!
Did you know you can change the color and shape of your cursor in the settings? With the standard white cursor it is imposible to see where you're pointing when you look at a white surface (light switches for example) with your flashlight on.
I know the gag is that imp and Skizz are the dads but their energy together screams siblings especially when you add little sister Gem in? I love watching the streams just for the vibes alone ❤
Grian! Final Yokai....when the yokai is far away, it won't see your flashlight or hear you. Skizz couldn't turn it off quickly, and he was making farting noises. It tracked to him because he made noise. When skizz died, he was not hidden behind the sleepinging bags with the flap open and had a direct line of sight on the ghost.
Down the street..sippin on jinn & juice ghost hunting with .ind on the ghosts, niw i wa t priceed tirning snoops song into a phasmo song..in .y head at least. Walking round the he house looking fir jinns & juice
