Mine has in playstore search bar when im going to search, there will already like 2 apps in suggestions, and when im done searching, top results will be ads. And in game mode too, although it is in certain games (pubg in mine), i don't know how it works. And in music app. I have frickin ufs 3.1, lpdd5x ram and sd 870. But that thing takes ages to start when i re-open it after minimize because its trying to show me ads.

To show the vibration of the screen during playback of loud music, you can spray some salt grains on the screen while the phone is kept on top of a table. Now you play loud music and then the salt will vibrate and we will be able to see it.

I just bought 12c for my father yesterday and suddenly it got hyperOs update after the miui14 update. I thought xiaomi was shifting to hyperos but didn't khow this was the only budget phone to get hyperos update. But yes the hyperos seems much better to me. No extra gimmicks,perfect for my father.

Honestly it's going downhill for them since Note 11 series And yes, thanks for highlighting the useless 2MP 'macro' camera... Gone those beautiful 2019 days when companies used to give a decent Ultrawide & Telephoto lens. Since Apple gives Telefoto above 1L (at least before 15 series), all these companies treat Indian buyers as fools who see the number of cameras than their quality/specs (which is again truth) :(

I had the same display problem with my realme gt neo 2. I gave it a replacement and the problem was not there in a new phone. I think some units might have this issue not all.

There is no proximity sensor in it. They use a gyrometer to detect the phone's angle and determine whether the phone should switch the screen off or on.

Its weird for me as a Nepali citizen that the price of pro plus is cheaper compared to India. Almost every phones which costs about 32k to 35k INR costs around 60k to 65k in NPR and for this specific phone without any profit, it translates to around 55k NPR. But out of the blue, this phone costs 51k NPR (with offers) which is a very aggressive pricing (12gb/512gb variant ) and is a lot surprising.

Redmi note 12 pro is the only Xiaomi device with mtk with no oversharpening imo, using it but that banding problem is there in my unit too, although it can be reduced by changing colour profile but still....colour banding in such a small screen that too with 10bit colours???

Hi, I'm using the OnePlus Nord device with Dimensity 920 and there is no oversharpening issue. So, how it's hardware issue, Even my papa having hilio processor with Samsung amolet, there's no sharpening issue.

AOD is limited to 10 seconds because cost cutting in display controller..display controller needs to stay awake all the time to provide AOD so they limited it to 10 seconds so display controller only stays active for 10 seconds

As a long-time Redmi user, I couldn't agree more. Xiaomi used to offer fantastic value for money with their phones, but lately, the pricing seems to be going up while some features are being cut. I miss the days when we could get top-notch features like 4K video recording at a fraction of the cost. Hopefully, Xiaomi listens to its loyal users and brings back the affordability and features we loved about their phones.

Neo 9 is easily gonna be around 38k or even slightly less. If you have a budget around that, I would suggest you to wait for it. Better have a snapdragon processor than a mediatek if you can.

The over sharpening in the display has been a problem for many Xiaomi and Redmi devices. My father's Xiaomi 11i 5G (Dimensity 920) also had that over-sharpening problem.

2:58 you can turn 📴 miui optimisations in dev settings and you will get a AOD like all other phones i don't know why Xiaomi does this btw turning miui optimization off may cause some problems and app crashes

for your kind information the 10 sec always on is a default battery saver option, you can go to the aod section and change it to forever. edit: looks like that option doesn't exist, i use Xiaomi 11 t pro and it has "always" feature, seeing this new phone not having that option is meh.

Sharpness issue somehow only affects Poco and Redmi. I had same issue with Poco M4 Pro 4G. Now have Realme 11 Pro with Dimensity chip and it faces no such issues. Realme definitely feels a level above Redmi both in hardware and software department.

Xiaomi phones me proximity sensor mein sirf ek Sabse Badi dikkat hoti hai ki third party apps jaise ki WhatsApp or telegram me voice notes sunte time proximity sensor activate ho jata hai Taki Agar Ham earpiece Mein lagakar unhe sunna Chahe to screen off ho jaaye. But due to low quality proximity sensor or in some Mi Phones giving no proximity sensor and depending on gyroscope, Agar Ham phone Ko zara Sa Bhi tilt karte hain, ya aap agar so ke phone use kar rahe hain.. voice note sunte Waqt, To screen apne aap function karna Band Ho Jaati Hai Ya fir off hi ho jaati Hai. Which is literally so annoying!!!

U can measure BPM with rare camera too. Go to video and turn on flash, put a finger in such allignment that it covers the camera and flash with single fingre. U will notice pulses on ur screen. This phone ahave optical sensor, maybe it can detect those pulses even over the cloth

Always on display mtlb sirf aapko time dikhai dega. Koi jarurat nahi hai always on display ki. Time toh hum ghar ke clock mein hi dekhte haina. On mat karna battery drain hogi 2 3% ye bi battery save.

Not only the display but output from the camera of every mediatek devices always comes up with over sharpen issue. I've tasted so many devices but all of them have the same issue.

Curved screen may look good but flat slab screen is much safer and better. Easy to apply tempered screen protector for flat screen phones than curved ones. The liquid used for fixing tempered screen on curved screen gets leaked and affects the volume rocker buttons too.
