I recently had a woman ranting at me about your you tube channel. Saying you should expect to be abused and that it comes with the territory. She said because of people promoting the town her son a many others can't get places to live. I guess that because I video the town too, she probably felt it ok for me to be abused aswell. So Ive decided thats the sort of friend I can very much do without and Ive distanced myself from her. Sadly those people exist, but Id rather be creating fun videos than being as negative as her.

I live on a council estate and everybody nods to each other and look out for each other. You cannot go around saying the country is full of 'orrible people (see comments below). and, you can always just ignore people if they are being di@ks. Love your channel but I've seen some 'orrible comments here too :)
I think that a lot of people have become bat crazy over the past few years due to a few factors, a few years ago we were held prisoners in our homes from a bad cold season and then a certain forced and not needed medical intervention, this was when people just became feral. Then we have had the invented cost of living crisis where folk struggled to survive, then the actual state of the UK what with in surge of certain types of people arriving on boats and the violence on our street have latterly pushed people over the edge.
@@Nunos645cgh To appoint I agree that they were thugs who turned it into what it was, but there were a lot of peaceful demonstrations which as per usual not covered by the main stream media.
Ive had some very unpleasant abuse today about my You Tube Presence, via electronic communications. Always a bit silly people sending messages from a Traceable phone number. Anyway if he continues I'll have it dealt with. Over the years Ive had some quite horrendous abuse. Some of it enough to make me feel very upset and have significant negative impact on my mental health. Sorry to hear you're having to deal with more idiots. Im pretty certain they are a minority. Plus what they don't realise, when we make a video about idiots, those videos get a lot more views :) Which means a higher income :)
Whitby teems with Barbarians who feel good manners and obeying the law are not necessary. Never confront or interact with them unless you enjoy disciplining the intellectually limited.
One of the perks of going to a Wetherspoons; a special place for special people. I went to a 'Spoons in Truro for a meal with some friends, someone kicked off and in the scuffle, the bouncer grabbed me when I was making the trek back from the loos. I asked what was going on, the bouncer punched me. I reported it to the duty manager and now I have a gilded letter from 'Spoons HQ informing me that I am barred from every Spoons in the country, for life.
Unfortunately Simon there are a lot of this type about now, they were in a minority, but seem common now, I think they look for someone to bully, I've had the same myself

So sorry to hear you had to face nastiness on your night out in your own town. Happy you were looked after. 'Spoons' as you call it hard working and under appreciated staff aside is not for me, not that I do pubs at all unless there's choice live music. In my neck of the woods that chain of pubs tend to be rough sad to say. I steer well clear of that kind of atmosphere.
It’s why I avoid it like the plague. Call me a snob, but I’d rather pay slightly more (for decent quality of course) than pay cheap and get a face full of abuse from these sorts

There are a lot of weird, angry, hateful people around Simon.There are no doubt a lot of reasons, but the tendency of powerful and high profile people to behave and speak badly has, I think, normalised bad behaviour. That said, some ratbag calling you a Jeremy is well out of order.
We love Whitby ad go there every year and have done for the last 7 or 8 years. We have not seen any idiots there to be honest and I will keep my eye out for you in October when we go again. Enjoy the videos, thanks.
