Xanthan Gum was used on oil rigs to thicken the sludge used to transport oil and water. It binds to the intestines and reduces absorption of nutrients.
Its a poop of pathogenic bacteria, the same bacteria that causes black spots on your broccoli and cauliflower. So if you won't cook blackened broccoli or cauliflower for your family and friends why would you use a thickener made from it??? America has lost its soul to greed! Feeding to its people chemicals that are banned in 160 countries. 💔💔💔
>makes unsubstantiated claim >gets asked to back it up with evidence > "just Google it bro" Pathetic. BTW, oil rig fluid also includes water, is that bad too?
Thanks for the information. I was just watching a video about using xanthan gum to thicken kefir into a pudding and got curious what it actually was. You answered that very well. Keep up the good work!
all of the gum additives give a monotonous and overly uniform texture to foods apart from causing digestive problems in some people. What ever did humanity do before Xanthan Gum came along? I think we did just fine but here it is now and it's not going away. I avoid foods with added gums whenever possible, but it's really hard since it's in so many products.
I recently started to use X-gum in my homemade hot sauces without knowing much about it 😅 so thanks for the infos I feel like I can keep up peacefully ^^
Thank you for teaching us about Xanthan Gum. I plan to use it as a thickener. I was not aware of what it was used for. I've seen it in products but didn't know, but I know now.
I first heard about this from one of the chef on the food channel. I can't remember the chefs name But I can see his face in my head (where else) but I think he's still on the channel. I don't have any TV in my house anymore.
What an absolutely cool video! I didn't know Xanthan Gum was actually good for you, like Mashed says in this video! Now that I know it's good for me, I'm going to add extra Xanthan Gum than what is already in my food! I'm also going to buy some of this and just eat it after microwaving it and adding milk because maybe that's a healthy breakfast seen as though it's good for me! Thanks again Mashed, for releasing this video and really improving my health! You guys rule!
Xanthan makes me get sick in an unpleasant way so thanks for ruining everything McDonald's hot mustard, pickle relish, most ice cream, all cake, Thomas English muffins raisin, ritas custard they dont admit it but im pretty sure its in there, every salad dressing, most dips and or dip mixes, hidden valley spicepack yup, the breakfast eggs at burgerking, basically every fastfood joint menu has it hidden in some of the products, mcain baby cakes, the list goes on forever and is expanding, o gee my tumie hurts wonder what i ate that had xanthan in it almost every week now i get poisoned by this crap and have to throw out some rando food item because they started adding xanthan
Some food additives are sometimes listed under different names, I’d recommend checking for other xanthan gum names and seeing if it’s on the ingredients list of foods you can’t eat. Otherwise I’d suggest it might be something else that’s causing the problem. You should speak your doctor about this but potentially if you went on a diet that caused you no problem, and then introduced some of the gum into your own cake mix or something, you could be absolutely sure that that’s what’s causing the issue
@@realbron3255 Well... I would suggest he talks to a therapist since it seems parents did a pathetic job raising an individual who THRIVES OF BULL KAKA TO SEEK ATTENTION! Just sayin!
I totally agree with everything you say! I’m a coeliac who has a much worse reaction from eating food with Xanthan gum in it than if I accidentally eat gluten. It is a very painful reaction, most unpleasant. I wish Xanthan gum was banned from food products. It is not natural and should remain as a drilling rig lubricant. Anyone who doesn’t agree obviously has never had a reaction to it.
Do you have a source that says otherwise, because the sources I've found said her work on dextran lead to her discovering the process of making xanthan gum.
Stop putting it into everything. A "freshly cut" (how they call it) horseradish in a jar is so thick I can make a snowman from it. Ice creams with it feel so unnatural, I had to throw them away. Even yogurt-mayonaise-based herring salad has guar gum nowadays and tastes terribly. I don't get why nowadays everything must be "stabilised". :/
Is xanthan gum good for you? I’ve been told if you can’t pronounce something I have a recipe are there ingredients it’s not good for you is xanthan gum good for you
Stuff sends me straight to the John . Causes bags under my eyes , face and hands to turn red. All of the gums do..I don't buy anything with the stuff in it.
She said that so smooth no hesitation at all. If I said it’s not often that black people get recognized for they’re inventions or 400 years of unpaid labor that’s controversial.
Xantham gum isn't healthy lol. It's an industrial food additive that is used as a cheap alternative to real foods like egg yolks and animal fats. It's also used as mud-thickener at drilling sites.
Dont hurt my compensation and if someone gossips there are illegal genitilia shown on Facebook to me and men who kept sending me messages too for no reason I fight for me and my.child
🤣it's a bad choice! If it still contain xantan,! A sticky additive with laxative effect!🤣🤣But it has pros & cons, as it lowers cholesterol and reduces glucose spike!🤣🤔
