As a Christian who is pretty young like 18-20 age group, I like to watch these because it makes me realize how romantically lonely I truly am. I heavily desire to be married.

I got married as a 30 year old virgin. I have no regrets. My husband was not a virgin, but he had repented before our wedding. It wasn’t awkward at all for me. Not sure if that’s because of my more advanced age or if it was just my attitude and confidence towards it. But just wanted to give young ladies encouragement that it doesn’t HAVE to be weird, uncomfortable, awkward, or even painful. My wedding night was none of those things. It was the easiest thing I’ve ever done.

My husband and I were virgins when we both got married. I know I was encouraging him because he was anxious. I knew we have a lifetime with each other, so I wasn't too worried on how our first night would go. Which was definitely a learning process.

this is honestly so comforting. i am only 19, but with my fiance, we just got engaged and he is 20. we are in pre marital christian counseling, and we just started talking about sex. i have a lot of trauma due to rape from my father during my middle school years, so i am terrified of what it will be like. i love how you guys said it is ok to pause and laugh and that it wont be picture perfect because i def was scared that it wont be like movies. our pastor supports us and says our relationship with God and each other are strong, but that my trauma is something that needs to be worked out prior to marriage. i just started therapy for it! i am excited for marriage, and we are planning to get married nov 2024, so a year and a half which is a lot of time to work on my past. i know morgan has briefly mentioned having a bad past relationship, and i dont know if it had to deal with sexual assault or pressure or anything, but i would love tips on how to heal from it if thats what you went through. i love you guys dearly and yall are some of the only people who are transparent about sex in a positive and healthy way!!

Even though I had been renewed by Jesus and rewaited (wasn’t a virgin), I was too nervous from the pressure of having to do it that night after waiting so long so we had to stop and try again the next day😅I cried lol

I had no expectations of doing it the wedding night and we didn't. I was a 26 year old virgin. But things still unfolded more naturally that night than I thought it would. So it wasn't very awkward.

Purity culture made it difficult for me to feel okay about having sex. My husband and I were both virgins and our first time was not as we hoped lol. It was hard to figure out how to position comfortably but we laughed about it. I definitely think it would have been better to wait until the day after the wedding because I was so exhausted from the days events. It isn't a requirement on the wedding night and people need to know that lol. But you should definitely not wait 2 weeks like you said. I love how you guys have these conversations. I'm an older guy who always dreamed of getting married but have started losing hope lately in thinking marriage may not be in God's plan for me. It feels like there are no single godly women left at my age. On the topic of the video, I've resigned to the reality that statistically speaking my future wife will likely not be a virgin if God ever blesses me with a wife. Wife and I are followers of Chris and were both virgins, which for the record I believe is the right in God's eyes and per His design. There's an amazing amount of freedom in that, and I honestly would be a mess if it was any other way. But it wasn't an easy road even after marriage. I will say that if only the guy is a virgin or neither it probably makes it much easier physically to just jump right in, but if the girl is a virgin it can change the experience significantly. Our wedding night was a bit rough. The initial fourplay was great and I completely resonate with what Paul is saying seeing his wife for the first time, but as things progressed it went downhill fast. Things on the women's end were intact if you know what I mean had to be broken which for some isn't a big deal but not in our case. Blood everywhere! I was surprised since she was an avid horse rider and thought I probably didn't need to worry about that. Needless to say that ended our intimacy right then and there. We were both very tired so it wasn't super disappointing, but our honeymoon the next week was equally rough especially for her. First couple days of trying penetration and there was pain and a lot of blood, sheets were soaked red, she had to stop and get in the shower more than once. Likely the hymen hadn't been broken completely the first night and/or wounding hadn't healed. I remember trying to wash the stains out of the sheets and towels in our hotel room and cabin so people didn't think there was a massacre. Besides the blood and discomfort, it was also difficult to be comfortable, or know how to move and work together, took a ton of control and thinking about what you were doing rather than enjoying what you were doing if that makes sense. All this happening also resulted in some emotional scars with not being able to please the other person, associating with pain, etc. Some of which we are still dealing with 9 years later. It felt so unnatural for us for many weeks, I don't know how people can just so easily "accidently" have sex for the first time.

I think you have found a reason purity culture is bad. It can make you feel so guilty toward sex, it can spill over into even after you are married.
