You do a fantastic job with your videos. I took delivery of my 2022 Tesla Y Performance on February 12. I have over 22,000 miles on it. I charge in my apartment garage with a 1/10 outlet with no problem.
I have a Sept 2020 Model 3 Performance. I'm from Toronto. I've gone 46,000km in 2.25yrs. I would have spent $6500 in gas but have only paid at most $1100 in electricity cost. $5,000 savings at least. Plus no maintenance..zero cost. So easy to clean the rims because never any brake dust! I'm going 65mph and just like that it takes off to 90mph. instant connection to throttle. no lag, no clunky downshift. The lack of buttons is amazing. makes it a pleasure to drive. no clutter! just great visibility with road! Voice controls that actually work for all the main things. anyways profile is always set! "blow air to my face", "I'm feeling cold", "turn on wipers", etc..
I drive my MY as my daily driver for the past 9 months. I love driving this car as much as I did on day 1. I do get range anxiety but in reality there are superchargers everywhere.
i totally agree with you 100%! I love my 3. Only negative about Teslas are the Tesla haters. I come across them weekly. The never own EV cars and have hundreds of reason why not to own a EV car. I think the biggest concern is that Teslas are expensive. I agree but you don't have to hate them if you don't want to buy one!
I have a model y long range for about 2 years now and it’s a hit and a miss. There are constant alignment issues with the model Y due to its weight and low profile tires. There are numerous other issues like problems with rear knuckles, seats not being fully secured, steering wheel column replacement and countless others. Tesla’s requiring only windshield wiper fluid is an extremely dumb and uninformative information about the car. Tesla’s are not reliable and that’s a fact of the brand and no matter what Matt says, that fact is not changing. If you want to buy a suv from a reliable car manufacturer, buy a Lexus not a Tesla.
One downside of white seats: it reflects everything and will make ur cabin brighter. If you like the blacked out look, white seats are not for you.., even at 20% tint, you’ll see lights getting reflected off of white seats and people can see on the inside
I have a 2022/AMD/MIC model y and my shown range when charged to 100% is approx 520km, real life on highway is 350-400km… no more. And this is when driving 130/140kmh
You are super wrong on the range achieved and drive comfort of the Model Y. I own both the Y & S, and I definitely don't get 330 on my Y but get a range between 250 -280 on a full charge, the lower been for city driving and the higher is for motorway driving and that's the best I could achieve. You need to compare the drive with other manufacturers' cars with air suspension then you will see/feel the difference in a superior drive. Above all the above Tesla can not be beaten on Tech and charging networks and why I endorse Tesla's purchase of any model but maybe not for long as more competitors come into the market with better offerings.
The quality of MY that is MIC is near perfect. Only had to adjust 1 headlamp as it was a few millimetres out. Apart from that the build is solid. I know many others who have MYs and none had any build quality issues.
I do agree Tesla makes good EVs but the luxury element and the ride quality is nowhere comparable to a $80K BBA as mid to high end ICE cars have done a great job reducing the engine noise unless you do full gas acceleration.... If you use the superchargers often, it will degrade your battery faster from my previous experience owning a Model 3. You will also have mixed experience when trying to get a repair for the car. Customer experience sometimes good sometimes horrible. Tesla is indeed improving year over year but they will have some distant to go.
