We went to the southeast overland camping event in Petros Tennessee at the Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary. This was a great event hosted by TNT Overland. We were able to go on a self guided tour of the old prison and see the history and what it was like to be an inmate at this prison that opened its doors in 1896 and closed them back in 2008. The most known inmate was James Earl Ray, the man who killed Martin Luther King Jr.
