Great to see this Max, it shows you are reading the comments and responding to them - just last week I commented on the somewhat unidimensional vibe the channel was taking on, and you've done well to add in more diversity in your guest line-up. Superlike this! The parts where the guest tries to humanize his rich and famous clients is a nice touch and helps the audience relate, but dwelling so much on the amounts of money involved beyond a point becomes pedantic. I highly doubt that anyone watching your channel would be inspired to hire a pvt jet, and I doubt even more that if they could hire one, they would need a promo code from you to do so😀😀 But applaud the attempt to showcase diverse profiles of guests - and this one was quite an engaging talker too !

Theer are two types of Singapore Indians 1) 3-4 generation mostly Tamils and a smaller no of recent ( last 20-30 years mostly professional migrant) both very different groups in fact some of the traditions that Singapore born bought up Tamils observe are perhaps more older traditions then recent migrants .. so I would say Indians from India are from diff regions and have more variety of festivals and traditions where as Singapore Indians are either mostly Tamil Hindus or Muslims

not true actually, even amongst early Singaporean Indians only 60% are Tamil. A large swath of early Singaporean Indians are Sindhi, Malayalee, Punjabi etc.

get your facts right ! Tamils from india formed 76 % of the indian population of si gapore before 1980s.all north indian formed 10% of the indian population.

@@SmilingBackgammon-tz3rb get your facts right. Tamils only formed about 60% of the Indian population even in the early days. Even amongst early Indian Singaporeans there were large groups of their South Indians such as Malayalees. And sizeable communities of Punjabis, Sindhis etc.

Indians from India are distinct from the Indian diaspora, which includes British Indians, Singaporean Indians, Hong Kong Indians, Canadian Indians, and American Indians. They have diverse backgrounds, much like the difference between PRC Chinese and Singaporean Chinese. I recall a doctor I visited in France who was of Dutch Indian descent. She shared with me her experience of feeling completely out of place when she visited her ancestral homeland.

I know about the Indians in Kenya who act and behave exactly like they are in India. They are mostly Gujaratis and Punjabis. They live in their own neighborhoods with Indians only. They don't allow the locals to stay with them. They have their own Indian schools. They have many temples where they meet together so they don't need to meet with the locals except when they have to do business.

That's common in plural societies anywhere around the world. Even in the U.S. where some Americans and politicians love to claim it's a melting pot when it isn't. People come together more for transactional purposes, but outside of that they tend to stick within their own race/ethnic groups. That's why there are enclaves in large cities like NYC where you have Little India, Little Italy, Chinatown, etc. Melting pot concept only really works within the same race. That's why immigrants of European ancestry can assimilate and identify as one. If the U.S. was truly a melting pot, it wouldn't separate and categorize groups based on origins and have you fill out forms identifying which group you fall under when you apply for a job, see a healthcare professional, etc. The U.S. has had race issues even before it declared independence and still does to this day. Some people are outraged learning that Abraham Lincoln who many considers to be one of the greatest presidents of the US, the person who issued the Emancipation Proclamation, didn't believe people of different races could successfully integrate, advocating for emigration of freed individuals to countries outside of the U.S., saying during a delegation “Your race suffer from living among us, while ours suffer from your presence… It is better for us both, therefore, to be separated.” He was realistic to human tribalism and hasn't been proven wrong when you look at the country's history since he made that statement in 1862.

in japan for wisdom tooth removal you go into a hospital for 2 days... its a complete scam, i had mine removed in the Philippines on 3 seperate occassions, each time i walked in, sat down, 20 minutes later i left the clinic and resumed my life as normal, getting a coffee as soon as i was out of the clinic. No pain or anything.

In Australia my daughter paid about eight thousand dollars. Sad that everything costs fifty times more for any health checks and to be honest it is all the hype and blah which when we elders compare to our lives back kn India is a joke. I don't recall my dad ever worrying how to take us to the dentist over so often even though he was thr only bread winner. Today's gen is glitter fans

Which is about to days pay if you’re working class filipino here so not too bad. If you’re an expat though it’s an absolute bargain

My MBA class had a course in Singapore during which a Colonel in the NS who was Indian spoke to us. He was pretty open about instances of racism he experienced in Singaporean society. That was disappointing to hear. Singapore does, more or less, force its citizens of different ethnicities to live near each other in order to avoid ethnic enclaves. That wouldn't fly in the US where I am, but I do think there's value in people of different ethnicities/economic statuses interacting with each other on an everyday basis.

Had a friend work in private jet brokering, pls steer away from it as a career unless you got nothing else going on. It is 100% a middle man relationship business, as a broker you do not control anything. The service & prices are controlled by the charterer, and the margins are very thin. Rather broker something else. And what's your progression in the career? Buy a $50 million jet and start your own brokerage? Goodluck. There are no barriers to entry, no core skill set required, it is basically famoosing rich people business. My friend ultimately got fed up and cut his losses. Yes, from the outside, it might seem "glamorous" and appealing to the kids, but as a job, just like most jobs, it is very much not. Rather work on getting rich and flying on one than brokering it.

Never carry your soil with you. Adapt to the culture of your new home, never carry your culture with you. Its a crime to carry your culture, religion along with you wherever you go. This is particularly true for regions away from the tropical regions as those regions had very little history of a multi cultural and multi ethnic society and are not naturally suitable for such environments, besides it is extremely easy to adapt to culture and religion of those places away from tropics because they do not try to take adcantage of people who tries to do that unlike the general nature of people around tropics who values human life much less and invariably takes advvantage of people who are different, are minoriities , or are weak. So it is much more logical that people moving into the tropics will try to stick to their own culture and much more expected that people moving out from the tropics will shed their own and adapt to the culture of those destination places.

Just because you talk and act like a group, doesn't mean they'll accept you as one of their own. Look at the history of forced assimilation of Natives in the U.S. To lose one's language, customs, traditions, beliefs and even names and still made to feel like the other isn't successful integration. All it did was remove the threat of a culture war by stripping a group of people of a cultural identity.

He understands Singapore well enough after serving his national service and going through the school system. Many choose to avoid. Credit to him for putting in the effort to be around.
