I currently work at jimmy johns, everyone is so chill and I love it, it’s super easy to get the hang of and be fast My area manager is strict but not strict enough to get mad at you thankfully, it’s a fun experience and it is fun to have a job like that at 16
@@bluewing8199 I agree. I work at JJ's currently and the oldest one their atm. Everyone is chill and we get along well and I'll often as my co-workers if they need anything before I come in. I think the only major problem I have that happens with most places is getting covered if needing to call out or if feeling sick. Most don't wanna cover so trying to find someone to come in is hard.
I’m so glad I work at a slow store with no drive through. We’re only ever busy from 11-12:30 and then it will be slow or dead the rest of the day. Easiest manager job ever
Well I just got recommended this. I've worked at Jimmy for about a year and a half through high school and it was my first job. I've worked as a night manager for about the last half year. Almost everyone I've worked with is really chill. The worst we get are employees that are occasionally annoying and we had one morning opener who was the villain of the store for a few months before he left for a different store. Overall a pretty chill time.
Yes I feel the same Exact way it is such a chill time and sometimes I actually miss the place and at my job it was always good jus some annoying people who joined the team
I was part of an original crew to open a new Jimmy John's where I lived, I worked there 2 years and 4 months, starting as a crew member and became a PIC
I’ve worked at jimmy johns for 10 years now. I work 6 days a week 50 hours a week. I’ve taken 3 vacations in that time for a total of 12 days missed.(excluding Covid days). Yes I’m burnt out. But I do love it. Review time. Say what you want about Jimmy himself but that man was a fast food genius. The structure and consistency in the brand was unmatched. Rarely adding new items and when he did make changes they were slight and subtle…… Now the physical menu is a nightmare. I could get a 9 year old to design a more streamlined coherent menu. Simplicity is key when you are dealing with speed and efficiency. We were built on speed. That is what separates Jimmy John’s from the rest. Can’t be fast when you constantly change things. Muscle memory is pivotal in building speed but when you don’t have consistency in line set-up and overall familiarity there goes the speed. If you aren’t a naturally fast paced individual I wouldn’t recommend working at a Jimmy John’s.
Nice video, not quite a year ago bur around that I started working for Jimmy John's as a driver. I'm not really likening it there anymore but it's better than where I worked at before and I'm making a lot more than before. I also have a really hard time dealing and talking with people though and I have Autism and I hate that about myself and it doesn't make it any easier for me at all. There was one Jimmy John's not the one I work at but there was one that I would go to every Saturday to help them out and this lady brings in her kids there and they are screaming the entire time and they keep running into the kitchen and the mom has to physically get them away from the kitchen all the time and they drive away customers and stuff like that. Not to mention nobody at that store actually cleanses anything at all anyway and nobody does anything. I heard one time when I wasn't there one of the kids took one of the head sets and started talking to the people going through the drive though and everything. There used to be a TV in there for them to but they broke it and there was this really long cord they used to make the TV work in the main loby for them and they would literary swing across the long hallway on the cord and crazy shit like that. Oh and I heard that they even went to the Riley store with the kids one time. Like I struggle to do everything and then add that shit on top of it and even me just driving and trying to do the dishes and a bunch of stuff the morning people didn't do there at all at that store and they expected me to slice like over 20 turckies in a single night sometimes while doing that and none of the DBL's were ever done and if they were I was the only one that did them and at that particler store I did more than everyone else there combined and that store is absolutely horrible. I stopped helping at that store for a reason if I had to work at that store every time I would have quit. People at that store usualy quit the day they are hired or like a few days after. The one I'm usually at is a lot better though. And all of that other stuff I could hardly do it because I would take a delivery and then when I'm back there would be another one or few more waiting for me and it would usually go like that the whole night or I can do stuff for literary 2 minutes and then have to leave again there I was the only driver at that store which is why they had me go help at that store. The one I work at is a lot better than that shit show though. Like everything actually get's done and it doesn't smell rotten in the store I'm at usually and stuff like that and people don't bring in there kids to the store and they don't run around all over and stuff like that. I do like driving my Mustang I just got for Jimmy John's though that is kinda fun but even though I'm not working at that shit store anymore I'm not really happy being there anymore though.
Dude all I can say is your amazing your a hell of a worker I have nothing but respect for you and your work ethic those kids were messed up for doing that and stressing you out like that and I’m sorry to hear that I hope your stress free doin a much better job now and also I am autistic as well and it is very difficult to get by and fit in but I don’t care what anyone says were the strongest out there cause we’re battling ourselves everyday so nothing but respect for you man honestly keep your head up and keep working hard and don’t let anyone get to you
Thanks for your thought I turned 14 about 2 months ago and always wanted job and they hire at 14 and tmr is my first day and I'm nervous and such and this will chill me down idk what position I'm at and stuff
You’ll do amazing you’ll be nervous for the first couple of days it’s normal it’s a very easy and relaxing job I loved it I think about going back every year best job I ever had but I needed more money but you will definitely enjoy it take care !
As you're under 18, you won't be allowed to mess with knives or slicers. But, once you get the job down it's easy peasy. I've worked there about 10 years take my word.
@@daltonedwards9018 no. I'm from Michigan. I was supposed to start today but they didn't have my uniform so I'm waiting to hear from them when I can start
This place expects you to work ten hour shifts without a break if you want anymore than a three hour shift. They'll send you home earlier than your scheduled shift.
