I own a GS and GT. Both 07 and red. Manual. GS is FBO and tuned. GT was only missing RRE headers to be FBO. Those came in last week. Im gonna heat wrap them before installing and re-tuning with Speed Farm Garage. (Yes they handle Hackish's tuning now.) Both cars are very fun to drive. GT gulped water (oil looked like coffee with a lot of cream.)up north last summer and after flushing engine oil a few times drove 2,000 miles back down like a champ and is still going strong.
@@4gmce GS FBO and tuned wont touch a stock GT. I felt that after years of driving my GS. I got in the GT and on the first pull i felt a big difference between the two of them.
I have a 2009 eclipse gs with 175k miles still going strong i always make sure to keep up on maintenance only missing fog lights but im lookin to order the whole assembly soon! It also has the rockford fosgate package and the radio is amazing
My friends coolant also got messed up by that 190k mark. Nothing catastrophic happened, the car just stopped. But there was sludge all in the coolant system so he has to flush it, but ut doesn't sound expensive or hard to fix.
I got mines 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse since 12-23-2006 and I put 1 engine cause my timing went at 154k I’m at 164k and praying nothing happens again, I need shocks, wheel alignment and dash is popping up and bit and liner damage by water but the car looks great I got the red cherry bomb color with gray black trimming leather 4cyl
Looking at a 2006 Gray GS, thats on sale for $6500. Carfax shows it already has the timing belt done. Pretty good condition, interior is very nice. With the recent spike on used vehicles, it seems "fair" looking a daily mainly. Only seen one GT pop up, its 200 miles south of me.
How many miles the car have? I can't speak on the performance of the gs since I got a gt but i will say stylewise I love this car and my gt is nearing 200k miles it surprised me how reliable its been! 6.5k is a lot depending on the miles tho
BUT BRO ! I would totally pay 6.5 for a car I really really know I want even with 178k just up to you like I said me personally I would want the gt since I like the power it has however you would get better gas mileage wit yours
The car is fun really zippy for what it is and was I also had to get a new battery for mine to got it from a older gentleman 147k on the dash guy had it in a garage looking den for a year of sitting was a good buy and the deal he gave was even better
Cool review , can you make a video of your intake system and explain the process of replacing the filter. I have a stock one on my 4th gen and that's what holds me back from converting it into a cold air intake because it looks like a pain to change out the air filter
I can definitely do that, and it can be quite a pain compared to stock but in short you just remove the weather guard plastic next to your front left tire and should he able to remove the filter to clean it or if your lazy replace it with a new one.
Right side blind spot is terrible. Get one of those clip on two foot wide mirrors from a auto parts store. It will be the difference between night and day.
You ain't never lied! When I'm merging, I wait at least 4 seconds after I put on my signal to be sure no one is there (after checking the rear view mirror)!
I will co sign here right side blind spot sucks sometimes. Been in two barely accidents for this reason. But love this car. Great on gas fun to drive. Fast if you know how to do it against a fair competitor
Do your timing belt man bought mine a month later started the car and it slipped. (Most the time it will slip on statup) redid the timing (mitsubishi will want a few K) do it yourself with the tearstone manual and about $150 Now runs perfect haven't had any problems at all in a few years now love mine other than a little bit of body roll in corners, some brake fade but EVO X calipers will fit the front with a little modification front and rear brace bars can't remember the name, I think they are lime green, the polyurethane mounts also help alot from what I've heard havnt gotten around to doing it yet though. And the Ingalls torque damper is dis continued but someone else makes one now again it might be RRE not positive though
I’ve had an 07 auto gs for over 10 years now, has 98k on it, the only issue I currently have is it’s eating up power steering fluid, I can’t find a leak anywhere
I'm sure that the reliability is great on the manual I've never heard of any complaints from this car really besides some people with their timing belts and oil burning. That's literally it
It does goes back quite far and the Seat can be lowered a little bit, leg space you should be good head room is where I'm not sure. That Said the car you described sounds like an amazing deal !!
@@4gmce ok. Yeah i didnt learn until i was about 24.i am And actually from younger brother. Lol sold the eclipse and had 2 srt4 neons and a lnf cobalt ss. Currently have a ion redline and just saw a eclipse 6 speed for sale for about 6k so looked up some vids to remember
