I am starting a career in tech, I now have a mentor who is helping me build a profile. From Jan 2022 I will be studying towards my CS degree which will take me 4 years... I have started learning how to code with Python.. Please keep this videos coming, I love them and I can only see 3 videos on this.

I think have some projects on the side and do online courses or anything where you can get a certificate to add to your CV.

Hey so I know this is kind of a rude question, but I'm in matric this year and I plan on taking computer science after my gap year, I don't do physics at all, I only do math pure, and I get really low marks but I am significantly improving, I know the prerequisite is 60% and over, but I also know that doesn't guarantee your spot. So can you plz tell me how much you had for maths so I know what to aim for 🙏

Hey amazing video but i have questions. im currently in grade 11 and failed my term 1 grade 11 ( i took maths core, physics,IT and EGD). So now im stressed that i wont be able to get into UCT. I want to know the requirements for Computer Science and What APS Score i must have, also do they look at term 1 grade 11?? i really hope they dont.

Hey, when I applied I used my final grade 11 Marks as well as my matrix marks. The APS requirement was 30. There's still time to fix things ,keep pushing. 💯

Hi, do you need Physics to do Computer Science? How much physics knowledge do you need? What degree in the field of IT can I study that doesn't require Physics?

The Computer Science degree I studied from the University of Pretoria didn't require physics.

Hi, most universities want you to have Mathematics. I recommend checking the requirements on the university websites.

I think it's more on the discrete Mathematics side - knowing topics like Sets,Logic and Graph theory(very useful in data structures) would be fine I think
