What is the best time of year to go view aircraft in Star Wars canyon?

Well done, factual, look at the SLL Route. But why no mention of the boys and girls out of NAS Lemore? (and NAS Fallon for that matter). Naval aviators out of those stations are among the most frequent flyers.

@@mattshort_DP Star Wars was officially taken off the Sidewinder as of July 2021 because of the crash back in 2019. It says to avoid overflight and no lower than 1,000ft above the rim of the canyon.

@@Sammyguy135 I read somewhere that it had opened back up last year. I'll check with my buddies at EDW.

@GreatPlainsChaser I just called a good friend at EDW and he said the canyon IS open. EDW jets are not allowed to use it yet but Nellis and China Lake jets are. There’s also a lot of other places along the Sidewinder route where you can catch EDW jets.
