I just wanted to say thank you for listening to your fans. It was pretty much unanimous that we ALL wanted a lot more of these "What it's like to live with" videos, and you've been delivering in spades. You're awesome, Miles.
I used to be worried about that Mustang crashing stigma being attached to me, but then found out everyone that knows me couldn't even imagine me driving in such a way that my car could spiral out of control. Maybe it's from 99% of my time driving in my life has been driving a V8-powered vehicle (even if not a sports car).
Too many people think they can't outdrive the car but forget that they're just outdriving themselves. There's a measure of respect you have to have for the machine and your own abilities before pushing things to their limits. You're good.
Loved the video! Great to see (and HEAR) you shifting into 2nd at 4200 rpm and into 3rd at 4700 rpm.(Obviously, that's why you're getting 11mpg - LOL - it's worth every penny!)
I had a 2019 GT performance pack 1. The active exhaust was key to keeping the neighbors slightly less p'd off. I loved it , and am seriously considering the s650. However, it really works for me, only as a second car.
The Getrag MT-82 is still garbage and is a cost saver Ford was not willing to risk in the Dark Horse or Mach1. Both of those models get a Tremec transmission. In short if you have a problem with the MT-82 Ford will blame you!
@@billymania11 An aftermarket shifter helps, but does not fix the issue. To solve the problem, you need a built trans or swap to Tremec. Doing either one will void your warranty. IMO, The MT-82 should only be in a light duty truck or SUVs not a muscle/sports car.
@@billymania11 If you had experienced what I had, I'm sure you would agree. Just google "MT-82 problems", CJ Pony is a top result and highlights the issue very well. I'm sure at least 51% of the MT-82s are fine, but a huge percentage are flawed. I've driven stick my whole life without an issue like this. My 2023 GT 6 speed would grind or lock out only going from 2nd to 3rd gear at about 4k-4.5k RPM with about 2/3 throttle. Every other gear shift combination and RPM was flawless. Ford techs could not duplicate it and said it was me speed shifting. Ultimately I spoke with the owner of the dealership and I traded my 2023 6 speed for a 2024 with a 10 speed perf pack model. BEWARE of the MT-82!
How’s the sound system for the mustang that’s the one thing you completely glanced over . When you’re during on longer trips you’re not just going to sit in silence
The fact that Ford removed the stick from the Ecoboost, further cuts into their Mustang sales. If ever there was a company that continues to 'shoot itself in the foot'; Ford is it....
Pretty funny. I see the same features missing here that I wish my 19 GT had. Trunk fully opening when pressing the release. Adaptive cruise control and remote start. I get the last two are because of the 6 speed manual. But I can imagine that Ford would have sensors in place to allow those features to work when allowable or safe.
Hey I recognized the road you were on by the bridge underpass. It’s 17th st in SA right? I used to live there as a kid went to Sierra and SAHS. I Live in TX now brought back memories from when I used to skate down 17th going to Sierra Intermediate 👍🏽
Update with tremec and Whipple supercharger..would like to see if you had the same headache with tuning like I did. Ended up just selling the car, was sad 😢
The screens in that car take me back to 2016 technology. It makes me sad how the touch screens and responsiveness of those screens use such old technology.
"What it's like to live with..." videos I think are SOME OF THE BEST car reviews on RU-vid right now. You're killing it Miles, keep it up! By the way, the only thing I actually dislike about this car is the fact Ford made everything electronic. A/C controls? In a menu. Parking brake? Electronic. It's the most annoying trend in the entire industry. Then to cut even more corners, and I'm talking about a lot of manufacturers here as well, they just stick 2 tablets on top of the dashboard as if amenities and gauges are simply an afterthought. It annoys me very much, especially in BMW's and Merc's.
Nice review. I'd be interested in a Mustang GT w/o the magneride suspension (because I don't need the performance pack) and how the ride quality performs with the A/T.
does the car save your settings? such as the rev match and the mode you have it in, also the exhaust setting. or does it default to a setting every time you turn the car off?
@@evan.435 Unfortunately that's the tradeoff for 7500rmp and nearly 500hp out of an NA motor. It's the one thing I do miss about my Ecoboost. Hundreds of torques right at 2k rpm
Is the noise still partially artificial from a speaker? My 2018 mustang has this: but to disable the microphone you gotta pull down the rear seat headliner and disconnect it. Noticeably quieter.
Love the color but attracts too much attention for me sadly. Nice spec nonetheless highly considering one end of year because i’m not sold on the interior design bc if the tv design but everything else looks new and nice which is what i like.
Because most people use their garages as extra storage space. Also older houses that were built before the 2000s garages are too narrow to fit the average modern car.
