What it's REALLY like going to University in Wales, UK (Swansea University) 

My city , I lived in Swansea for 13 years without leaving the city for a single week .

I dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost the password. I would love any tips you can give me

That’s sick! Yes the cold isn’t great, but that’s just the UK eh 😆 we spend every day in the Gower in summer and it’s definitely the place to be!

Swansea uni is relatively nice next to the beach all modern and new, but the city is rough and its a deprived area of the uk

@@bradlang4786 it's not rich but not that rough. It's very safe city and as a woman I've never felt scared walking home at night here.

We both met at Swansea uni and loved our time there! Me and Becka were never big members of the sailing club as we were already involved with a few other clubs. However, they do hold regular socials and hold race practices. There is also definitely opportunities to crew on boats in the marina too! 😄

It will definatley be different but as students we still make it fun :) It’s up to you and how safe you feel the travel will be

Hi! Thanks for the reply. It depends on where you are coming from but if it’s close Europe, sometimes you can fly in to Bristol or Cardiff but if not getting a flight to Heathrow, then a train to Paddington station and another train to Swansea is easy! Good luck :)

if you into heathrow or gatwick - there is a national express coach service to swansea from the airports, or get to paddinton via the tube or train network from heathrow and train to swansea. Cardiff is a little more tricky as not well linked to public transport - no idea how bristol links in either but both have train station in city centre away from aiports you could then get a train.

Definatley would give it a shot!

You should! When we lived there- mumbles is lovely (although quite expensive), Brynmill is nice (but there are a lot of students), towards the gower is all nice 😊

First year I would recommend looking on the campus your course is, then after that, I would recommend looking in either brynmill, uplands or town!

Yes! I have lots of friends who are international students- the great sports and societies make sure everyone is included, wherever they are from!

Not too sure about your course but I know people who do it and love it- and you can’t beat the location! The sea is gorgeous here

I was on Singleton but bay is fun too, you mainly just do your studying there and can live anywhere you want ☺️

Oo, tough decision but you don’t get white beaches in Bournemouth ;) I don’t much about the photography course itself though

@@TeuluTribe Bournemouth has seven miles of golden sandy beaches. Unlike Swansea the tide does not go out for miles. The Gower has three cliffs bay and Rhosilli, but Dorset has Poole Bay, Brownsea Island, Shell Bay, Studland Bay and many more. Studland is a protected National Trust area with some of the rarest reptiles seen in Britain. Bournemouth Promenade has cafes, restaurants and bars. Not many, if any on Swansea Prom. Bournemouth to Heathrow 1.5 hrs by coach, non stop from Ringwood. Anywhere in the world from there. No waterfalls though in Bournemouth. However, we have the outstanding New Forest 20 minutes away, with unlimited adventure activities. Direct Ferry to France (Cherbourg), ferry to the Isle of Wight from Lymington. Take your pick, you can't go wrong. As for me, I am born and bred Swansea but absolutely love Dorset and the New Forest. Lots of history here too. If you want a big City with a huge retail environment, then Southampton is 30 minutes away - complete with IKEA. Oh, and the weather is better here on the South Coast.

@@briandavies2387 I like Bournemouth, don't get me wrong, but i love how empty the Swansea beaches are and also the waves are worldclass which is important to me as i surf! But obviously its all personal preference. I almost picked Southhampton but don't love cities so i made the decision for Swansea instead and am very happy here. We just drive to Cardiff or Bristol for more shops which is fun as it feels like a road trip :) Theres also gorgeous restaurants and cafes in mumbles- its a fun walk/skate there which we do between lectures. Like you said though, just personal preference and it should really be about student satisfaction and how good the courses are!

Congrats! Compared to some of my friends at other unis rent and living is really cheap! Rent in a house you can find for £280 a month min and drinks are really cheap and so is food from Tescos :)

I know a bit about Bangor University, let's just say it's a very nice university and the campus is basically the entire city of Bangor because it's a tiny place but would be a great place to go to
