Sir, Excellent interview. One of the most comprehensive interviews of process engineering. Thank you for that. Also, could you please share your linkedin id to read about the various calculations you've already posted?
I've been following Mr. Vijay on LinkedIn from past couple of years. He has vast knowledge in Chemical/Process field. A very humble person MashaAllah. Though I'm not in Chemical Engineering but still this gentleman is worth listening.
Guys you are doing here an extremely important service to young engineers - we have a major industry problem with competency levels of engineers as well as their mindset (wanting to be managers with titles and expensive cars, rather than real engineers). Furthermore I find that academia trains them to be researchers not engineers - no mention of failure modes n effects, CSU, ops practical issues. At the same time concern about HSSE is limiting the exposure of young engineers to operations. being an engineer is about practical knowledge, true understanding of the physics and chemistry, gas, liquid and solid handling (and not only pressing simulator buttons). One cannot build a plant if one has never operated one - and this is the root cause behind so many project failures I have seen in the last 20 years. Engineering is not about salary and titles, but practical knowledge as well as ethical consequences of our decisions.
Thanks a lot for organizing this event and sharing with us, Mr.Jeferson. Personally, I feel lucky to know both of you and to watch this meeting. Besides the importance of technical knowledge in the industry, I even learned how to mentally prepare myself for process engineering career from your and the Mr.Sarathy's golden views. I follow both of you with great interest!
Why don't we have a what's up group to create a platform for instant discussion of various process engineering concepts....we can learn more from many questions that we come across in our daily jobs....if there is already such group please share here....I am a chemical engineer working in Process Design area..
@@jefersoncostaengineer it's not there like I've connected to him but he's not connected back , it asks for email id to connect . I have been following him since a year now on LinkedIn
