@@orlandomora1302 it means you put some type of forced induction like a turbo or supercharger. Basically they compress the air into the engine. More air and fuel means more power.
@@wheellights5406 drilled/slotted rotors don't stop you any faster... They actually take more time to slow you down than a solid disc. The holes and slots take away surface area in return for better heat dissipation which would only be useful on a track where you're constantly speeding up and slowing down. Kyle is doing highway pulls mostly so id say just more aggressive pads would be great. Maybe disc swap the drums in the rear too
@@ThePwak007 true. But he could go for a bigger brake disc and upgrade caliper to 8piston. With this power id make a 4wd conversion from a subaru and make it a track monster.
I give you a lot of respect. I'm in my 30s now and would love to do a build like you did at this point in my life. When I was younger it was about the body kits and looking good for me. Now I'm in to fast cars and bikes and would love to have what you have. Give you A lot of respect for doing that at such a young age.
tom lenza opposite for me I just want speed and handling. I have a Cbr600rr and I'm planing to get a highly modded car. I need some more money for that tho
lets keep this simple 10,000$ for a 600 hp. monster.... when guys are getting financed 23000$ for a 10 year old used wrx/sti or some 50,000$ corvette... i know those cars are very nice as well. But talking bang for $buck$ its uncomparable
It’s all in what you want. If an old 10 year old used wrx/sti makes you happy then go for it. Power is power you do that in any car if you’re up for it regardless if it’s in a civic or whatever. Bang for your buck if you’re just looking for power then go Honda. If you have a different dream car then do whatever gives you that stiffy.
@@savagekiller99 it also matters how its being used. If its your track day toy then really the front wheel drive is the weakest link. For any kind of racing there is a better option than front wheel drive. Its cool dont get me wrong but at the end of the day your taking a little commuter and making it something its not. Its really up to the person with what they want as a starting point. Personally I'd start with a rear wheel drive and make it handle as good as possible. Power doesnt always equal fun.
The fact that you learned this build is amazing to me. i could already tell you where relatively young but i was expecting you to say that you went to or was in automotive school or something to be able to build such a fast car. your such a inspiration bro fr. keep up the good vids. instant respect yo!
I have been playing with Hondas since I was 20, I turned 40 just 5 days ago, and I utterly respect what you have done with this project. Anyone who cant tip his hat to you is not a real car guy, or is just jealous. Keep up your good work
DUDE! i really thought it was a clickbait... but 600hp?! THAT'S INSANE!! i own a bonestock D15B2 civic and im not even planning to do anything to it, because im saving money for a miata but even im my dreams i wouldn't think you can make so much power with a civic, mad respect
Awesome to hear your story of going from a know nothing about cars to building them. :) Also props on going H22 instead of K series, though I'm not a huge Honda guy.
Coming from another dude who doesnt make too much money and still mods his car, I love the fact you kept it real. Over the course of 3 years too man, dope work. I respect it. It's sick to know there's people like you out there. I've had my first car for a year and a few months so far, and the progress has been fun.
this is a great video bro i fuckin love this hatch im 30 years old an been turboing civics since i was 20 ..most power i was ever makin was 550whp on a built lsvtec ..all my buddys have muscle cars an 240s with v8s i wish a had some honda heads like u guys to chill with your a chill ass guy ..keep up the good vids dude and you should start a go fund me id help out a bit with your hatchy
haha thanks bro, you have been here since we like first started posting more vids! love to find other honda guys, and i dont think i should ever have to start a go fund me, at least without giving something in return
why dont you find some guys thst think there fast and put up some cash n tske there money and put it into the hatch to make it even faster. bigger turbo?
Strongly agreed! Although I think he could put the money aside for another build or whatever, his choice, but I think it would be sweet to see some videos of him dragging for cash. It be like Farm truck and Asians when they drag exotic cars, imports and big headed muscle cars with their dung beetle. Definitely a beautiful sleeper.
Michael Gonzales because most people race from a dig for cash, and he will lose to 400hp rwd cars with slicks who actually prepare there setups for launch, not just 60 rolls...rofl.
Michael Gonzales well let's see BOYS . where you at ? I happen to have a bag of money just layn around to see who has the ballZ to put up 3g's . you can prep , IL even give you a rolln 6 car.

Ive watched this video 6 times. Im building an h22 swapped civic and im in the same boat as he was. I have a basic understanding from forumns and youtube but thus video gives me hope and it kinda gives me so many hidden answers to all of my questions so far. I cant wait to get this car going
Dude, even if people say that your car sucks because is just ah old civic, remember that real tuners don't look at what a car is, they look at what a car can be. You're a real tuner, man. I respect it a lot
awesome video nice to see there's still legit Honda enthusiasts that build their cars. your doing a great job man I'm looking forward to seeing more on the hatch!
Nhlpro14 yeah definitely gonna throw on an intake and an exhaust. And not really in the market for a new car plus id rather build it, not trying to push any crazy numbers anyways lol not yet
Kudos to you, you reminded me of my self back in 1990 I had a 1983 Toyota Celica and I did some mods my self in a the conservative side with a TO3/TO4 Hybrid small turbo, economy intercooler stock ECU that a friend help me reprogram for better injectors, better fuel pump, upgrade the suspension for Eibach German springs and Tokiko Japanese struts, it was no 6cyl. 2JZ because it was a stock 22RE automatic but it was fast enough to beat integras of that time. Well done and I am very proud of you. We are responsible to where we want to go when we have a goal. WELL DONE !!! 🥰🥰🥰🤗🤗🤗🚘🚘🚘
Good for you man. I got my license in a hatch, first car was a hatch. I’m building a 50’s hot rod right now but I always have that itch to relive my hatch high school days. Thanks for the video.
Much respect to you n the crew bro. I’m 36 n have been into these civics since the 90s n have just got into actually building n working on my own for the past 4-5 yrs now. It’s amazing how much one can learn and accomplish in such little time when u actually get in there yourself n start meddling. Love ur channel and watch every last vid. So much luv n a huge shoutout to the @BoostedBoiz from the Bronx New York 🤙💯🔰
Have never actually heard how to make power on a 4cly this is a great vid. Love the civic I have an Aveo I'd like to build may swap it not sure yet though.
This is why I build civics... i have about 3k into my current civic build and I'm shooting for 600whp by the end of it all. Its b20v, fully built, sleeved, in a ek coupe. Gonna start making vids once I get it done. Love your content dude, only RU-vid channel I look for daily
That's crazy how you ordered a turbo kit and didn't even know how to install it at the time lol, learn as you go. That's pretty amazing. I thought I was brave for trying to replace a water pump on a 1.8t because I'd never taken off a timing belt before and I even got to see a whole video of somebody doing it first.
@Micheal Gonzales no actually, ricers just puts ridiculous body kit that weights a fucking ton just for look, not even for aerodynamics they probably don't even know what it is lmao
Khvndlxr S I have the same question. I have an accord I wanna boost but I dont know how to get started, also I drive it daily so I cant just have it sitting :/
Nice ride. Sadly enough there are plenty of haters out there. I give you mad respect though, I bet it surprises a lot of people on the streets, in 'Mexico' of course, lmao.
Definitely a cool journey for this build and a nice story to go along with it. The fact that you've learned so much so fast is commendable to say the least. Can't wait to do this myself or a build very similar at least. Thanks for the vids. Keep up the great work!
Yesss hommie! you're doing an awesome jobfor you age. I'm 31 and when I was 20... 450hp was the fuckin pinnacle for me. I hope you continue to do what you do and I think you guys are an amazing influence on ur generation and future generations to come! Keep up the good work and the dope videos!
Bro ur car is what I want for mine I have the same car and I keep telling everyone I'm going h22 but people hate so bad, keep sayin "go gsr" after I seen this bro, I'm going h22, this is a sick build bro...keep them vids coming
I doubt he had his parents help. I was able to save up 3000$ just working at Taco Bell when I was in my Senior year for my first car. Civic's you can find for about 2K. That's maybe like 3 months of part-time Taco Bell pay-checks 4 months tops and that's if you spend some of it along the way. It's really not that hard to save up for a car guys. It all depends on how badly you want it.
+810 Idiot I guess working that type of job in america isn't that bad after all cuz you were able to save money for car parts. Here in my country it's a damn struggle.
Jonny G Sorry to hear that man. it's still a struggle here too. Im just saying that if you're really really good at managing money (which I am), then you can do it.
Awesome video bro! 600 hp in that little hatch is insane!! I drive a 2000 Mustang GT convertible that's auto. Have full exhaust, intake and throttle body. I have in mind everything i want to do as of right now.. Built cammed motor, Bullitt intake manifold, Procharger d1sc, Tremec T56, 04 Cobra IRS, much more.. when you said you had it for three years I thought what the hell am I doing because I'm coming on 4 years and only have bolt ons. But also you talking about how you built your car and learned how to work on cars in the process just gets me thinking I'm doing good where I'm at. Nice Civic , it's insane! I onow these can be fast with just 300 so your def moving at 600. I want 500-550 and I would still get walked by a Civic like yours with me putting almost twice as much $ then you did.
Keepo Hdee i will when i get space. i have this car and my truck so can't really get another car. plus it should be a fun little daily when i get it boosted.
Keepo Hdee thanks its for fun me and my brothers all have hondas. an s2k my little brothers girls car. my accord, an ef hatch, and my brothers boosted 8th gen civic
Hey man, digging the car. Couple of thoughts.. always add a quick grand to any budget. By the time you add up every little hose, clip, wire, sensor and the liquids. it's always more than you think. And the only thing that matters about your car is that you're having fun with it. You don't have to explain yourself to anyone. Keep up the vids. :D
Very nice. I'm 34 and have ed9 and an eBay turbo kit, vitara pistons, eagle rods, ostrich etc . did several swaps before but never a turbo kit. Learned everything from forums, RU-vid and books. Never went to a meeting. Just need to find the time to build it lol.
Love the videos bro and just subscribed a day ago, keep up the good work! Makes me want to stop working on my 350z and buy a project Civic just to turbo and fuck around with lol.
the hondata ecu is $300 the tune is however much his pro shop charges for a dyno tune. and if he's had it there multiple times for multiple times hes probably spent well over $1,000 on just getting the car tuned.
Dope build, keep it going! I got my clean EG shell for for 400, now with a sleeved built h23vtec motor. Been more focused on my 400whp single cam ek but your vids make me want finish my eg lol
Nice man, I have been getting alot more into cars aswell, a project I've wanted to do looks exactly like yours! Good to know it will prob not break the bank. It must have taken alot of effort to build that man, and builds like this are what cars guys are all about, Much Respect!
Hello, im new and was wondering what would be the best and easy engine swap to make on a 93 hatchback. Im in highschool so.....its still not mine yet. (Im a junior but I will try to get my permit in the next few months to drive) So far I have changed the suspension and rims of the car. I have also changed some other stuff but I don't know the names of the parts I have changed. Control arms and some other stuff down there. I have added some strut bars and changed the steering wheel to an NRG one. I just want to start making the car feel fast than making it just look cool. It has a different exhaust which purrs nicely. Thank you for your time. My dad got the car for 1,650 bucks. We have only spent 700 at max for all we have done to it. My dad also wants to have it repainted because the original paint is starting to peel a bit.
I mean with the EG's it's really how much money you have to spend on a swap. They have adapters that will allow you to put pretty much any honda engine that is available out now. For ease and price i'd say a b-series would be your best bet B18c (OBD1 GSR) motor for decent stock hp and VTEC.
if you're just starting with the Honda scene and maybe you don't have a lot of tools for a big swap like a k swap, I'd suggest going b20 high compresion. its a lot of plug and play with the b series engines, so start off with the b20 swap and think about what route you wanna go with it, either N/a or boosting.
giovanni serrano I completely agree with Tuner. If it were me I would go with b series, start off with a b16 or b18 with minor bolt ons and save money and gradually move up to a turbo build. Or if your stock d series isn't in too bad of shape you could opt to do a turbo build on it. It just depends on what your end goals are and how far your willing to go with it.
giovanni serrano I'd say if you want to do a cheap and easier build, go D16Z6 with the single cam.. those things can make a lot of power the same way the DOHC engines make and even though it's not that powerful from factory, it's a light engine.. plus the EG is a lightweight car so when you turbo it, it'll be the best of both worlds.. especially since it's even less moving parts on the head
damn guy, this really makes me motivated to do my 97 civic...i prob wont have the money to go to 600hp.....shit....if i could get 300 i would be over the world....well done guy, respect all the way
For my EG build I went with a b20 bottom & a b16 head it has a lot of torque, LSD trans, fully upgraded suspension & axles. For my turbo I went with a 67mm Garrett. Fully built the internals including cams, RC 550 fuel injectors, chipped my ecu & tuned it. Then painted it pink so the domestic guys would talk shit then I'd crack their skulls. It's the funnest thing I've built so far even more than my k20 EF lol.
Let me know if you want some cheap K swap parts. I've got a lot of stuff sitting around from my Turbo K EG build. Oh and we're both at the same HP. I'd love to see an H and a K compete at the same power levels.
I’m really glad I saw your video man lol, just bought my first ever Honda a month ago, first few upgrades I’m already planning is a cold air intake, full exhaust system, and a turbo, with a tube of course. And it’s funny that I gave myself about 3 years too, to hit my goal of 475hp keeping the stock motor, upgrading internals but keeping the overall stock motor, I don’t plan on stripping any internals so I believe 475 is doable, cheers!
still driving my first car i didn't even know how to drive stick when i got it, same story. I respect this build HEAVILY! i got a 2001 accord that i would DIE to make a sleeper one day. it would be more liT if i could build it with you guys down the road. hope you guys see this comment, definitely will send you guys pics of my dream sleeper if you would like to see her ;)
I have asked this before but never get a answer, But are you running that motor with no sleeves? A H-22 is a FMR walled block = bad on boost. Good thing different pistons sense cause very common with the H-22 to break ring landings
daaamn, keeping it real man. Liked and subbed. I had a similar story man. Way back in 2006 I got my first car (albeit it was pricier :p) and it was the brand new 8th gen civic si. I didn't know how to drive manual either and had to get my dad to go with me to pick it up and drive it home. Kept it bone stock for almost 2 years (while I was still in university) before I started my long modding road. Had a really good friend who worked at a local modding shop which really worked out for me as far as getting work done on the car since I had almost zero knowledge at the time. Anyways, its 2017 now, the car is 11 years old, has 213000km on it (ALL FROM ME). Runs like a dream and has an AJP turbo kit (from some tuning guys based out of Florida who specialize on the 8th gen civic si) on it tuned to ~414whp as of the last dyno at about 11psi (about 3 months ago). I can consistently beat most of the american muslce on the roads here (mustangs, corvettes, chargers, etc.) and recently I kept up with a Ferrari F430 on the highway in a 2nd to 4th pull. I've probably put about 15grand into the car since I got it + its original $30k price so for $45k I am pretty proud of what it can accomplish and haters can go ahead and hate since most of them won't be passing me anytime soon.
and im not being a hater its cus i own a 1994 h22a 210 compression with a m2b4 tune on chrome made 220hp to the wheels and 100shot or 125 NOS if is requiere real monster i have everything for the turbo but worry about sleeves i use VP racing gas only
Got myself a Del sol, inspiring video. Saving up money rn, most is going into paint job soon since it's coming off. Next on the list is suspension brakes and some good tires. Can get a roll cage for 700 custom made, it's quite some money but would help allot with stiffness of the car (being targa ofc). Saving the engine stuff for last, even now with mostly stock D16A9 I love every drive.
As one who hates Honda fan boys, I agree 100% that only a true hater would hate on a beast of a build like this. I can't imagine doing this at 20 years of age, still can't do this at 33 and having a degree in mechanical engineering - Respect.
Lol my car came out to be 8k 2000 si shell 1500 K20z1 2000 Motor mounts and headers etc 500 Kpro 1000 Engine Harness tucked 600 Fresh paint 1200 Soon tune all motor so another 500 and nitrous kit another 500 I'm only 19 and build it by my self
That's whats up dude....a lotta people on RU-vid don't tell the truth about there cars and I appreciate a real aspect. As this is a build I wanna get in to once my mustang gt's done.
