I have one of the most amazing custom RX-7s in the world. I want to share my experience of owning and driving such a unique car. I explain where the engine came from, why its so special, and what it does to a Mazda RX-7
Its pretty rare in a youtube video that you can actually see the power and get a sence of the performance being put out.(a remote sence). This is one of those rare videos and cars.
+robert retka i didn't say anyone is gay. i only said i would blow the dude for the car. hell I'll blow anyone for food right now. doesn't make me gay. just would cause i haven't had food in days and I'm hungry.
+robert retka you sure are being defensive to a stranger on a comment. are you really that homophobic that you must defend to someone you'll never know , or are you so worried to be outed? the more you argue for days , the more i feel that, i hope you get comfortably in being a gay male. it's okay bro. they's nothing wrong with it. it's really accepted in current times.
Aww man, this video popped up today after the 4-rotor vs Hoonicorn video. It’s crazy to see how far you’ve come Rob. Congratulations for all of it. I can’t wait to see this car get some more love once the 4-rotor is all sorted.
I love this guy. Finding people for true pride in the cars they drive is tough these days. Anyone who personifies a 3 rotor rx7 as something that hates doing anything unless it's for the sole purpose of scaring the shit out of you is an alright guy in my book. Subscribed.
big power, no comfort, stock black body....that's my kinda car. no F&F crap. no consideration given to driver comfort. just a mean engine, mated to a RWD driveline, that is all you need to have a smile on your face while driving.
Coming back to this video years later to remember where my rotary obsession started. In 2 days I’ll be getting my first rotary car. It’s gonna be an rx8 and it’s a hefty project but I’m so stoked. Thanks Rob for keeping my dream alive.
Rob Dahm this is the most insane car I've ever seen. Just wait until you get the 4 rotor build done. You think that 3 rotor scares you, hahah. You just wait buddy. Love the car though. Good build.
I could go on for days how out of every uploaded video on RU-vid pertaining to building a car, this would rank in the top 3. This is a brilliantly organized, ridiculously informative, completely engaging, and perfectly executed. Take notes, because this how you make a video.
Hey Rob, I have watched this video about 100 times, and still can't get over how nice your car is. A Mazda RX-7 is, and have always been my dream car. Keep up the great work!
Totally cool that you share your passions on youtube, cause a lot of rich car guys just post videos of street races and are so secretive about their cars. Also a big fan of the genuine enthusiasm, its like a friend running up and saying, you gotta check this out!
SO, about the Rotary engine..... The relevance of an automotive product is directly linked to its demand in the market. In an automotive market where the majority of the population are looking to travel from point A to B, people will refuse to withstand a lack of simple durability. Logistics. Yes it was a failure. Was it because of poor design? NO. A refined rotary has already been developed by a mechanical company in california, as well as Mazdas own rx7 work recently. This engine also destroyed boundaries previously unexplored by the traditional piston engine. Can this engine last a long time? YES. If properly cared for and maintenanced one can receive a premium from this engine in terms of durability. When was the last time you maintenanced your car? If your answer isn't, "Oh, i work on it every week" then I politely state that you are incapable of understanding the situation - and probably never will. So now you might cite examples of rx7's that were maintenanced and still fell apart. I would be willing to bet they were modified by someone who was NOT experienced with a rotary (Can easily lead to poor repairs, poor choice of and installment of replacement apex seals, etc...). Also may have had a very.... enthusiastic..... induction system like the one in this video. IN THE END. Is it cool? YES. Is it reliable? YES. Is it durable?..... Are you a dedicated gear head who is confident in their knowledge of a rotary engine? AND BEFORE ANYONE SAYS I AM JUST AN "RX FAN" -I drive a JEEP with a 35 year old AMC *PISTON* engine that i work on all the time -I am a diehard JEEP fan -I am just here to state the facts -FINALLY, i am annoyed that people who cant even tell you how a rotary works will condemn it over what they have heard or read.
Holy. Shit. This was the first video I watched of yours (I think). I can't believe it's been close to 9 years since I discovered you and your passion and lack of outros. Here's to the next 10 years, many more millions of subs, and maybe 3 more proper outros, brother
Dazzmond Western No shit? By greenies im assuming you were referring to people who are "tree huggers", which is made a joke about greenies being his wallet..
+Smackindaface sorry I don't know what you said can you repeat? "which is made a joke" doesn't make sense. I get the first but bit not the last bit. clarify please.
I head the song from this video on an Instagram reel and it made me feel nostalgic because the first time I heard the song was from this video. Im sure glad I found this video again and it’s really been almost a decade since this video came out. Time flies by
Fun trick for rotaries: drill a hole for a spark plug in the pipe between the engine and the exhaust side of the turbo. Now wire all the spark plugs in the engine to the exhaust plug with a relay
Jesus christ, Rob....here I've been watching your videos for years now and am totally fascinated by your journey to the 4 rotor engine going into a totally custom built chassis, and it was THIS FUCKING VIDEO that got me hooked on your channel. Keep running the fun stuff, and keep making videos that YOU WANT AND YOU ENJOY! That is what lures folks in to your channel. PLEASE keep doing what you're doing.
I had a fully built FD with a KAAZ lsd like yours and I agree, it does NOT fuck around, it was a BEAST and made my car hook and turn like you wouldn't believe... I need to buy another one of these cars lol
ROB DATS SUPER SICK.I WAS RAISE AROUND 13B AND 12A ROTARYS PERIFEROS GOING 7.386 ON A 1/4 MILE DOWN IN FLORIDA AND PUERTO RICO A LOT OF WHILLIES AND A LOT OF FUN.GREAT CONTENTS.STAY CRAZY🤘🏁💯👗👙
thank you rob dom, you know your stuff, and I learn easily just watching your videos, your video is great and you have my subscription, too bad I like creating. thank you for this video.
That is my pet peeve. I fixed it on every car I've ever owned, a little more than hundred cars over the years. You don't even have to do an alignment, just move the tie rods equal turns or on easy cars pull the steering wheel.
The real doktorbimmer Not with RA Super Seals.. Do the research. I've been using them in my 1st gen for 5 years with over 40k @16 lbs of boost and car runs flawless. I beat the piss out of the car. lol
This has been my dream car for the longest time and i began to set it aside and forget about it then i came across this video and me being 16 now i instantly began searching on craigslist because i really really want the car
Thanks, I'm currently working my butt off to pay off my current car loan (2010 Civic - I needed a car and fast since my old one was totaled). My next car will hopefully be the 2014 (or newer) Camaro SS 1LE
